Welcome to chaos, dont hesitate to ask if you need something!
Ooo good question. Short answer, you don't. But Chaos is a community of people who love to write stories, and naturally we try to coordinate between ourselves to make the stories a shared memory. Many characters are organized by factions, like The Empire or the Galactic Alliance, who coordinate plotlines. On an individual level a lot of people make lists of threads on their character sheet for others to see, showing who they wrote with, when/where, and sometimes including a summary of the story. It's a simple but effective method of letting people know the history of your character's travels through the Chaos galaxy. There's a timeline in the "Articles" tab that has a pretty good explanation as to "the story so far", but only really on a galaxy-wide level, like wars between factions and extra-galactic invasions (we've had a few). The truth is, I have a lot of questions. This is my first time on a roleplaying forum, and I'm not sure what I'm doing, haha.
How does it work? How do you maintain consistency across so many stories?
