Ooo good question. Short answer, you don't. But Chaos is a community of people who love to write stories, and naturally we try to coordinate between ourselves to make the stories a shared memory. Many characters are organized by factions, like The Empire or the Galactic Alliance, who coordinate plotlines. On an individual level a lot of people make lists of threads on their character sheet for others to see, showing who they wrote with, when/where, and sometimes including a summary of the story. It's a simple but effective method of letting people know the history of your character's travels through the Chaos galaxy. There's a timeline in the "Articles" tab that has a pretty good explanation as to "the story so far", but only really on a galaxy-wide level, like wars between factions and extra-galactic invasions (we've had a few).

The best thing for you to do is find a group that fits what you want to write. If you want a Jedi? We have those.

Sith? Got some of those too.

Imperial? Say no more.

Mandalorian? Yours truly.

Find somewhere to call home, and it opens you up to tons of people who are willing to help you on your journey.

How does it work? With superglue and a prayer.

But in all seriousness, it is just people writing stories; it doesn't all mix well together looking from an outside perspective, but that doesn't really matter, as long as you enjoy the writing, that is the true point of all this.

And consistency comes with time and knowing how your character acts, talks, and what they've experienced.

like the other said do what you want on chaos you need post your character sheet and you can play immediatly

dont hesitate to join the faction you want me i am on the diarchy but you can create your own if you want, same for the power of your character if you want start at a sith lord you can the master word is : enjoy the rp and make fun to write a star wars movie with all of us
