- 009 Fastshot
- Forearm Grip
- Semi-Automatic Firing
- Recoil-Dampening Stock
- Dual Barrled Firing System
- Twin 8405 Spread Barrels
- Each press of the trigger fires both barrels simultaneously
- Detachable Magazine System
- Tactical Three-Point Sling (Optional)
- Both barrels: To make up for the relatively low number of beams fired from each NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cell, the Hellfire Scatterblaster uses a Dual Barreled Firing Dystem, effectively doubling the weapon's volume of fire
- Quick reload: Unlike the Model 216 "Big Game Hunter", the Hellfire Scatterblaster uses a Detachable Magazine System, greatly decreasingly reloading times
- Hit probability: The Hellfire Scatterblaster maintains excellent hit probability due to its unique Dual Barreled Firing System, allowing its user to clear out large groups of enemy targets in rapid succession
- Powerful: The Hellfire Scatterblaster is a devastatingly powerful weapon, especially at close range
- Versatile: The Hellfire Scatterblaster can utilize a variety of different ammunition types depending on current mission parameters
- Chunky: The Hellfire Scatterblaster is a large and heavy weapon, making it difficult to use for extended periods of time
- Short ranged: Even when using "High-Volume" Power Cells, the Hellfire Scatterblaster has a range of "average" at best, making it most suited for close quarters combat
- Dispersion: Normal shotguns and scatterblasters have already high dispersion. This is only exacerbated in the Hellfire Scatterblaster due to its Dual Barreled Firing System
- Proprietary: The Hellfire Scatterblaster is only capable of utilizing NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cells, and is incompatible with all other types of power cells
- Unfulfilled potential: Though it can equip a variety of different ammunition, the Hellfire Scatterblaster cannot switch ammunition types on the fly, since it makes use of preloaded magazines. This forces the user to eject the magazine in order to use different NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cells
The Hellfire Scatterblaster is perhaps the first weapon in the universe to make use of NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cells, giving the weapon an unprecedented amount of power and versatility. Unlike standard Scatterblaster power cells, NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cells are capable of firing a variety of different ammunition types, such as tensor ammunition, ion energy or even plasma energy. This means that there is an NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cell for nearly any given situation, making their use in Scatterblasters the way of the future.
Unfortunately, NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cells do suffer from a glaring weakness, that being that they only output 4 to 5 beams per shot, making them less effective in close quarters than traditional scatterguns. To remedy this weakness, the Hellfire Scatterblaster utilizes a Dual Barreled Firing System, whereby a single press of the trigger fires both barrels of the weapon at the same time. This effectively "doubles" its volume of fire by allowing the weapon to shoot up to ten beams at once.
As one might imagine, this makes the weapon devastating in close quarters combat, as even a single beam is able to inflict significant damage onto anything that the weapon hits. That being said, the Hellfire Scatterblaster does suffer from accuracy and dispersion issues, making it somewhat difficult to use without proper training and practice. Nonetheless, when properly used, few weapons can match the lethality and stopping power of the Hellfire Scatterblaster.
While it is technically not advisable to use two different types of NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cells in the same magazine, a popular combination of the cells involves using "standard" and "ion" cells at the same time, making the weapon highly effective against both organic and inorganic enemies without having to worry about swapping cell types in the heat of battle. Though the NZ/SbPC-01 Drache Cell was developed to let soldiers handle any type of situation they might encounter, switching cell types "on the fly" has often proved to be far more difficult to accomplish when under severe stress.
