With the first of their weapon accessories made, the Whisper-class Suppressor, the design team at Hekler'Kok began working on a new set of accessories. With this in mind they began to formulate ideas on what they would make next. They came to the decision that a series of optics would be the best accessory that they could offer out of the gate. When it came to the types of optics they would make they decided on making them in groups based off of the range they were designed for, starting with close range which they classified as 300 meters and under.
Next came the decision on what optics to produce exactly. Many ideas were put forth but the team decided on four, though technically three were actual optics. The first was a micro red dot sight designed for mounting on pistols, SMG's and PDW's when concealability was a concern. The second was a standard red dot sight more useful on SMG's and PDW's were accuracy and durability is more of a concern. The third was a holographic sight designed to be mounted on SMG's, PDW's and rifles for far better accuracy than any of the previous optics. Lastly the decided to produce a 3x magnifier to give users who wanted a little more range out of the optic if they wanted it.
Next came choosing the materials for use in the optics. While the debating on making the casing out of their usual Titanium-Alusteel Alloy, they decided instead to use Plasteel as it was much lighter but still met durability requirements perfectly. The lenses were made out of Transparisteel to keep from cracking in high stress environments. The entirety of each optic is coated in CeramiCoat to avoid external wear and tear. Lastly the appropriate electrical components were provided to make them work.
With everything else done the design team began work on implementing the features they thought would be attractive to customers. The first feature was the ability to change the reticle shape and color to suit the users preference. Next was being able to change the brightness of the reticle as well to suit the user. A low light/night vision mode makes the optics compatible with the use of night vision devices. A quick attach/detach mount allows for attaching and detaching the optics at the users content for example in the unlikely event it is broken. Lastly they equipped the magnifier with a quick flip up and down mount to switch from non-magnified to magnified.
