  • Silent: It lacks the faint whine associated with vibroweapons, as it vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies.
  • No Mess: The blade can heat up rapidly, with the intention of cauterizing the wounds it inflicts to avoid excessive blood splatter.
Weaknesses:
  • Limited Application: It is generally only useful in situations where combat occurs in close quarters.
  • Uses Batteries: It has a limited number of uses before it must be recharged.
  • Heavy: It is unusually heavy for a dagger.
  • Fragile: The heating system is somewhat fragile and can be easily broken.
  • Stops Victim From Bleeding: If you don’t have a knowledge of your victim’s anatomy and know exactly where to strike, you will wind up cauterizing any non-fatal wound you inflict upon them. Congratulations, you just played yourself.
DESCRIPTION
This dagger was created specifically for assassinations and other stealth-oriented operations. It was produced in a limited quantity at the request of the late crime lord Tosh Rylance as part of the unique armory available to his assassins. The result is a weapon which is effective during close-quarters combat, when the user wishes to take someone out without leaving evidence or alerting potential witnesses to what is taking place. It is silent, it is mess-free, and it is easy to conceal due to its size.

It was once said that this particular weapon was designed with killing someone in an elevator in mind—a small, confined public space unsuitable for blasters, vibroblades, or lightsabers, which one would want to avoid splattering with copious amounts of blood. You also don’t want to alert the victim to the presence of a weapon through the obnoxious hum of a vibrodagger.

The only design flaw is a major one, however; the heating mechanism adds extra weight to the blade at its center, which while not rendering it unbalanced, does make it noticeably heavier and bulkier than an ordinary dagger. Likewise, the heating mechanism itself is infamously fragile, breaking easily if it is dropped from a significant height, thrown, or crushed. Without the heater, it is effectively an ordinary vibrodagger with no other special qualities save its silence and sharpness.

Following the death of Tosh Rylance, a few of these daggers went up for sale at auction. One was acquired by Arrius Messala, who liked the design enough that he decided to mass produce them.

Shawn Shawn Ready for judging.

This is the first sub I ever submitted and it was in much worse shape than I thought. Anyway, changes are as follows:
  • Added image back in (I have no clue why it disappeared but I went ahead and fixed it).
  • Manufacturer changed from Alyosha Drutin to NPC Tosh Rylance.
  • Affiliation now includes NPCs Jolene Drutin and Pygar Hoole.
  • Production changed from Unique to Limited.
  • Added extra paragraph to Description explaining how Pygar obtained a dagger despite not being one of Tosh's assassins.
  • Fixed broken links and formatting (pretty colors yay).
