Healing Waters - SJO Dominion of the Manaan Hex

[SIZE=10pt]Objective: The Lambent Strain (Manaan)[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]It came by complete surprise that the woman he had decided to take on as his assistant was motivating herself to learn more about the areas of knowledge that she lacked in. The Jedi Master wondered if he was a bit brash with her upon their first meeting, still this revelation of her wanting to learn made him feel good about his choices. Deciding that he would take up the invitation to the planet Manaan, to test and develop this better version of healing – testing kolto. Hyonu a doctor and healer with the Silver Jedi figured it was in his best interest, along with monitoring his pad- his assistant’s development. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Deciding against his healer robes, the man walked into the room after [member="Ciana Teigra"] spoke about who she was and what they were doing. A hand moved up his slender tie and tightened the perfectly symmetrical Winsor knot around his neck. His professional clothing hugged him which contrasted against the pure white lab coat that flowed as he walked into the room. Eyes settled on his apprentice [member="Rachel Taff"] and the girl was greeted with his usual forced smirk – then he looked at the boy she was speaking to [member="Caedyn Arenais"]. The look upon the stone-faced doctor grew cold as he instantly labeled the boy as a distraction. Shaking the look from his face after he caught on as to what he was displaying, an even more forced smile spread across his face as he nodded towards the boy. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Eyes fell back onto the woman in the front, arms crossed as that force smile curled into a smirk. He needed to know what he was working with, who he was working with and if she was providing something worth his time. Fingers pianoed against his chin as he pondered and drew attention of the room. “Ms. Teigra, it is well known that Kolto is inferior to Bacta. You’re looking to create something to rival that? To make better? During the Jedi Civil War, both Sith and Jedi attempted to synthesize Kolta – which failed, despite their efforts. So, what makes this different and how will this be different and well effective compared to the effects of Bacta and what was already done previously by others trying to enhance and make kolto?” [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]The man finished and awaited the woman’s response. He had some ideas as to how this could work and how they could be successful – but he was curious to see what she had to say. The woman before him presented herself intellectually, he was interested in what she had to say. [/SIZE]

Objective: Lambent Waters

A rather surly looking character stepped up, about the polar opposite of Ciana. All business, it was like he was almost flinging questions at her like attacks.

Stuck up scientists, the former executive was well used to babysitting these automatons during her career in the Spacy and Panacea. There were a lot of ways to handle them, but the best was to prove to be knowledgeable on the subject matter at hand to assuage them.

"It's actually Doctor Teigra," she gently corrected. "While it is true that Bacta is superior to Kolto, we're also in a very short supply of the former, and since the Sith's razing of Thyferra, the galaxy is learning that it can't put all its eggs in one basket. Hence our experiments on Kolto today."

"On the topic of synthesis, we have good reason to believe that the Sith and First Order have their own Kolto facilities, so it can, in fact, be harvested off world. My theory on this is that rather than synthetic production, they're using some form of replication of natural Kolto in environments that simulate the growth conditions on Manaan. That said, our object here isn't to synthesize it ourselves, but to improve the refinement process to vastly increase its regenerative properties. One of the methods we're looking into today is Force imbuement, specifically with Light energy which is utilized by Healers. I figure if Force Users can hammer energy into their blades and trinkets to alter the material's properties, then the same can be done with Kolto, theoretically."

"What exact effects will come of it, however, remains to be seen."

She glanced over her shoulder for a moment before returning her gaze to the man. "Shall I show you our progress so far?"

Josh hadn't been to Manaan in about six years, give or take. Another Republic invasion, if he recalled. He did get some killer waterproof insulating on his lightsabers while he was here though. He was overjoyed to be here in happier times, and had considered taking Jason here sometime. Manaan was absolutely beautiful, and the views would be great to show Jason. Josh had taken his chance to have some sightseeing, likely seeking out spots to show Jason before he would head for the meeting place for their mission. His partner for today would be a woman he had not met yet, so he knew little.

Soon enough, he would find Yuroic and Varindar waiting, and gave a gentle wave in greeting.

... Or well, it would just be to Yuroic as Varindar had already submerged. Shrugging, he would look around to see where the last of the crew was as he would head for his submarine.

"As you can see, there are lots of systems that go into a submersible platform. We want the platform to be able to provide for its residents even when submerged, and it should be able to do so for a year at a time"

"Mesa have duey questions: how much space issa allotten to each concession?"

He intended to re-use the stock inside the barge for this; from the concession allocation would depend whether or not he would need to invest extra on Manaan beyond what's already in the barge. Plus he had to be wary of the lead time especially if, in fact, there was a discount on the early shipment of kitchen equipment and that he had to order it early to take it: he knows he cannot needlessly incur storage costs for additional kitchen equipment if the structure isn't ready to house the concessions in time. And said storage costs could well be eating into the savings, and maybe then some if the delays were not being respected elsewhere in the platform project. In fact, that was one of the big items to take into consideration when one was buying equipment for a restaurant that was under construction: sometimes kitchen equipment manufacturers sold soon-to-be-discontinued products at a discount, but there was a small window of opportunity to buy those. Yet, if they were delivered in short order, perhaps a bill-and-hold option would be preferrable.

He and Rachel Taff were shortly to be joined by the company of others, real experts in the ways of Science and Medical practices from what he could tell. Their experience showed through their words in such a way that Caedyn doubt his ability to be of any help at all. That was of course until Force Imbuement had been mentioned.

"Excuse me..." Caedyn chimed in with clear hesitance, not wanting to disturb the experts standing before him but too wanting to be of some use where he might actually know something about; "Sorry to interrupt but I've been taught how to imbue things with the Force back on Tython". [member="Ignis Imura"]'s technique had been literally mind defying but through his teachings, Caedyn had since become quite proficient in the art for one his age.

It would be quite clear that despite his family line that most people recognized him by, his place in the royal family of Commenor hadn't led the boy to become one of those arrogant and obnoxious types that took everything without giving back in return...-Or at least that's how the holo-vids made other royals to seem like. He was a sensitive Lad, very gentle despite the things that he'd seen so early on in his life and here standing with the small group, his shyness was evident among so many new faces.

Objective 2

Two fingers patted his lips as she spoke, she was a doctor as well and when she corrected him, an eyebrow rose and it was a subtle queue that his interest was now piqued. He remained silent as he digested what she was saying. The rumors and tales of how the Sith were making Kolto was grotesque in was he wondered where their ethics began and ended. His smirk faded into a smile, one that was rarer than good bacta.

The woman had one a moment his respect for the time being, but where she assumed the Sith had created something that could rival natural kolto. Hyonu mused over this and then retorted, his tone a bit softer – but remaining serious and business like. “Do we have samples of their kolto?” The hand fell from his face, concern filled it as he remembered history of Ahto City and what happened when the Sith raided Manaan. “Rumor was that they had killed the Progenitor. If there’s still kolto in the waters of Manaan, then the theory of there only being one or being the source of the Kolto wasn’t completely true.”

Brown eyes moved from the woman to the boy who had mentioned he could force imbue. The skill was common for the most part, but to be very good at it was rare. Maybe he had mistaken the boy, but the way he was near his assistant – Hyonu wasn’t going to lost another one to the fluttering hearts of teenagers. “Good.” It was all he said to the boy and then turned his attention to the other doctor.

“Please show me your research. I’d also like to possibly make a trip to where the Progenitor was located – maybe we can collect samples there. My thoughts is – if we imbue whatever is helping create the kolto – we can control from the source – not the product”

Objective: The Lambent Strain (Manaan)

Rachel would smile "Nice to meet you Lexas." She said to the droid. After she mentioned the idea he told her he didn't have any clue. "Oh sorry was just spit balling. But funding could be useful. As for this stuff, I am learning it from my master. Hopefully he shows up soon." She said slightly disappointed in [member="Caedyn Arenais"].

She was then met by one of the doctors who was running this experiment obviously. "Pleasure to meet you [member="Ciana Teigra"]. My name is Rachel Taff. I came along to try and help out today. Hopefully my master shows up, he is teaching me everything I know." She turned to see [member="Ye Hyonu"] "Ahh that is him now. Good to see you master."

She would listen to her master as he spoke "He has a point. The histories do tell of multiple times where synthesis was attempted and none succeeded." Geez the doctor got uppity quickly. Then force imbument was suggested. Rachel shook her head. "I can't do force imbument. I can barely figure out how to get things to move in the force. How am I supposed help?" She was slightly disappointed in this revelation.

Then the boy next to her said he was taught how to. She felt herself feel upset at that. She knew she couldn't get force together but the fact someone so young was doing so much better than her made her feel terrible. She nearly walked off because of that. The only reason she stayed was because her master was here. But she was still troubled by this.

Rachel saw the look her master gave the young boy and distanced herself from him. She could feel what would happen next if she remained near him, but also she still felt this boy was way to experienced for his age and it unsettled her way to much to remain close to him. Listening to her master she had to agree. "That is the better than any idea I had, I would be up to find it."

Orihime was tilting her head when some reports were coming in to her screen. The smaller submersibles were departing but they were moving quickly. Going towards the open waters. Selkath who she knew through her mother had joined her and the shasa were well friends for learning about the planet. THey had retaken the ancient underwater facility near the rift once upon a time. THey still used it and she was bringing them a few things tha could serve to reconstruct and give them more of it. With information about the first and second battles here coming to her mind. The sith had gotten a few things like titan's to be a problem, they had attacked the station and the rift to mess with the kolto. THey would work on ensuring any parts of the rift were being worked on.

"About 75 square meters per unit"

On Kriselist, on Terminus, and even more so on Skor, if there is one thing he knew about food courts, it was that, even when accounting for the need for variety, that, in any given food court, every square centimeter counts. And there should, ideally be one and only one establishment serving a specific cuisine. Certainly those Selkath knew well enough that there were other tenants wanting their pieces of the food court; the question being what cuisines did they specialize in. However, with 75 square meters of kitchen space, he knew that he could fit all the kitchen equipment he has been using on this trip to Felacat, without the need to buy extra equipment. And, even with the equipment issues resolved, one would need to be mindful about ingredient sourcing: he must have realized this by now, there was a minority that were willing to allow the ingredients to be fully sourced externally if it could mean better prices. But the majority knew that the viability of a business in a local area depended on local ability to sustain demand, more than simply local supply chains.

"Wesa have una other question: what are yoursa requirements for ingredient sourcing?"

[Ailon - King of Fighters]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx61xeDV_60

As the Jedi and Rangers stepped onto the arena field, the crowds went wild with cheers and stomping. Almost all of the hundred thousand spectators in attendance were members of the Nova guard, all dressed up in full battle rattle of heavy armor. Collectively, the stomps of their durasteel lined boots and buttstocks created small tremors could be felt by everyone at the ground level.

At the center of the arena was a large black platform, where a dozen Ailons already stood. They looked like hulks in their gleaming golden power armor brandishing all manner of melee weapons, each standing well over two and half meters. Force users among the Silvers may have been able to perceive a protective shroud of Force energy that cocooned the armor. These twelve giants represented some of the Nova Guards best soldiers, each bred to fight like an entire infantry unit onto themselves.

Whenever the Silvers got on the platform, one of the Ailon would step forward, a halberd held in a rest position against the shoulder. As he moved, all the cheering immediately stopped, leaving the arena dead silent. It was so quiet that one could hear the whirr of the lead Ailon's servos with each step.

"Welcome!," he greeted, voice booming with a heavy metallic ring. "I am General Kreg. Jedi, Rangers, you honor us with your presence. Together, we will become legends, and great hymns will be sung of our exploits for a least a thousand years."

Kreg originally had much more to say, like how they would bathe entire planets in the blood of their enemies, and literally annihilate them from the annals of history, but his boss the High Marshal had him edit those bits out, lest they make their new Jedi compatriots uncomfortable with their near-religious zeal for warfare.

"Now let of write the first chapter of that chronical here and now! The conditions for this battle royale are simple, we fight until the last man, either eliminating opponents by knocking them off the platform or forcing them to submit. Maiming is fine - our bacta is pretty good - but no killing. We need all the manpower for the wars to --- erm for the glorious defense of galactic order! Otherwise fight as you will, use all your Jedi powers to your heart's content. We want you at your best!"

Kreg took his halberd in both hands and pointed it forward at the Silvers. Powering up, it started to radiate with a crimson sheen.

"Now, let us begin..."

At the last syllable, Kreg was on the move, twisting backward to leap upon one of his own men. For a big man, he moved with startling speed, closing 10 meters within a few bounds. He took his subordinate by surprise, who had been preparing to charge against the Silvers, who was only able to put up a weak sword block to the thrust of his halberd. Kreg pressed on with his thread to knock the sword into the other Ailon and force him to stumble backward.

Meanwhile, a few other Ailon started to fight each other, but the rest rushed at the Silvers, waving those same kinds of wicked power weapons as they sped forward.

The battle was on.

((Go go go. Either fight other PCs, or the Ailon NPCs. I'll be directly controlling Kreg, but everyone one else is fair game to control in writing your story. Have fun.))

The King of Fighters
Objective: Battle Royal.
Valkren slid the helmet over his head, eyes wide with surprise as he was almost expecting a non-exsistant heads-up-display to come into action after putting the piece of armor on. He was used to his own helmet, but the make-shift battle helmet with the Silver's insignia on the side of it would have to do for now.

He waited, continuing to pace as Kreg began his 'speech.' The Antarian Rangers were usually considered 'hulks' of men when sporting their own Katarn armor around their Jedi counterparts and rebel allies, but these warriors before Valkren..They were truly Hulks.

Their size just gave Valkren increased confidence when it came to thinking about working along side them in operations..Morale would be through the roof if one of their warriors came lumbering around with ranger patrols. Today however, he'd see how they would truly stack up against the skills of their own. As talking came to a stop, there would be a brief pause that Valk' found quite awkward. The absolute silence caused after his speech provided well enough anxiety for anyone ready for the fight, and when Kreg made his first move: the battle was on.

He jabbed his left fist toward the floor slightly, his energy shield bursting to life with a shimmering blue light. It seemed one of Ailon warriors had taken a fancy to the smaller set Valkren, running at him with a spear similar to that of General Kreg's Halberd.

Valkren wanted to fight Kreg though, give his rangers a show they wouldn't forget, but he'd have to beat the other silvers there first.

The colonel hardly got as much of a running start as the larger warrior did, so he'd have to start on the defensive. His shield came up in front of him as he went to intercept the tip of the spear. He flung his left arm outward to make the shield push the incoming spear away from him. His quick defense caught the aggressive Ailon off-guard, the massive soldier soon tried to bring the spear back down towards the smaller ranger, but Valkren already had the upper hand. The special forces officer used the momentum gained from shoving off the attacking spear to deliver an attack of his own, bringing his vibroblade around from his left in a race against his opponents spear.

Lucky enough for him, his shorter weapon was much quicker than the spear, meeting the Ailon's chest plate much before the side of the enemy weapon grew close to him. The sword cut through mostly power armor, not getting nearly deep enough to get whatever lay below, but it was enough to shock the combatant. With a quick push of his shield from the direction he had just ended up, Valkren somewhat easily 'shoved' the warrior back. The armored figure stumbled, then went to recover and attack, but soon realized that he was already off the platform.

One down..

The immense amount of focus he put in to the move combination during the brief fight made him oblivious to his surroundings; just as he began to turn toward the center of the platform to search for a new combatant, a large hammer from another one of the Ailon's came to meet his shield. The force behind the hammer almost brought the colonel to his knees, but he was able to let the sheer power behind the overhead-swing push him back once it collided with the shield. His protection shimmered at the impact of the great weapon, telling him that he better move quickly or else. He was able to dodge the second swing, the impact of the hammer on the platform felt as if it shook the entire thing. The Ailon figured that overhead wasn't exactly working out right, so he switched weapon-hands as Valk' moved around him in a circle motion, shield up in front at all times. Calderon's opponent swung his hammer about, bringing it from his own left side hoping to strike Valkren's right side of his body.

With a quick backslide, the heavy weapon narrowly missed the colonel's chest plate..He could feel the wind come off of the hammer as it passed. He had to take the opportunity while the Ailon was still dealing with his overextended follow-through. With a half-leap towards his opponent, he'd send the edge of his energy shield toward the side of his helmet, jabbing it forward in a hope to disorient the taller combatant. It worked, just as Valk landed back on his feet, the hammer-wielding foe seemed to be somewhere else entirely in his mind, stumbling back and forth, but still on the platform.

He'd have to think of something else to beat this enemy. His eyes wandered across the arena while his current foe was still stunned, landing upon the Ailon General.

"Kreg!!" Valk' yelled this with a wave of his vibroblade above his head. He made sure to take a few steps away from his current enemy, knowing all to well that once he regained his wits, he wouldn't be too kind toward the ranger.

"How about trying your might against a ranger instead of a Jedi? No force powers here, bud! Just all man!" He'd tap the rear side of his vibroblade against his chest plate, attempting to tease the general.

Ofcourse, he'd have to deal with warrior that was approaching him once more, first.

Manaan. It had always been on Cassius Droma’s list of planets to visit, mostly due to its historical significance. Now, he had a reason to come. Dammon University had contacted him, saying that a research group had run a simulation to map out possible areas of where an ancient Infinite Empire site was in the depths of Manaan.

Before they sent their own research group out there, however, they wanted the Jedi Archaeologist to scout the area to make sure it was safe, and also to see if their hypothesis was even correct. They didn’t want to fund a trip with nothing to show for it by the end.

At the moment, though, Cassius was coming up a little short on his promises to research the area. He’d arrived on Manaan with the intent of renting a submersible vessel from one of the local businesses, but found that the vessel had already been rented out. After a short conversation with the manager and getting his deposit back, Cassius wandered the streets of Ahto City, not entirely sure what to do next.

He found himself at the swoop races, his face contorted in deep thought as he sat in the stands. As much as he loved to be near things going fast, his mind was going at a million miles an hour in trying to figure out his next move. The Stardust wasn’t capable of going underwater, or else he would take that. The rental shop said they didn’t even know when the submersible reserved for him would be back.

There had to be another place to get something that could go underwater.

The general's speech seemed a little abbreviated as if he wanted to say more but had held himself back somehow. What wasn't held back though was the sudden attack as the man leapt backwards, his weapon sweeping out to strike at his own soldier. That was exactly the opposite of what Asaraa had been expecting, she'd almost expected the two sides to face off, at least at the start but it really seemed like anything goes. That was something she could get behind...still it didn't pay to leave yourself too vulnerable right now.

Throwing herself into a run forward Asaraa made off diagonally, cutting across the platform towards the flank of the line of charging Ailon's. The girl lead with her shield, the micro-repulsors engaged in heavy mode, ready to soak up the damage as she sidestepped slighting, letting one thrust roll along her shield as she pulled on the force of the impact to spin her, her sword coming up to fend off another attack, sparks flying off her blade as she continued to spin, weapons passing on either side of her body as she crouched ever so slightly throwing herself forward in a roll. Just like that she was behind her enemies, lashing out with her blade to draw sparks of one of the Nova Guard as he span to face the Jedi, hefting his long spear aggressively forcing Asaraa to duck down, rolling along the ground before she pressed a hand to the ground, forcing her body up as her boot impacted with the man's side, forcing him to stagger back as the two combatants backed off from one another for a moment, sizing one another up in silence.

Location: Swoop stadium

Gazing around in wonder, Althea was ushered inside the stadium by the hurried flow of the crowd. The country girl hadn’t seen anything like this before. The closest thing perhaps was the rodeo that the local towns organized back on Tanaab. Still, the crowd there paled in comparison. Althea turned slightly, her small sense of focus stolen by a neon sign – a concession stand! Her smile grew wider as she got into the line, and soon had a bag of popped corn in one hand and some kind of slushie drink in the other.

“Guess I better find a seat,” She said, standing near the middle of the aisle.

Hazel eyes traveled about, wondering which section of seats would be best. But then, Thea cried out as a young man shoved into her. She stumbled, jostling the unlucky passerby that happened to be next to her at that moment. The young man in a red hat booked it out, while the man she’d bumped into flashed a grumpy frown and stalked away.

“OH dear! So sorry, mister!” Althea called, shuffling to get out of the middle of the corridor.

Setting on the nearest row of seats, she began to make her way down. However, a vendor selling long strands of red candy caught her eyes. Althea rearranged her food and drink so that she could reach down into her… empty pocket. Blinking hard, she felt around the bottom of the pocket for any holes or tears – nothing. Thea shook her head at the vendor, and then found a seat near a blonde man ([member="Cassius Droma"]). Her brow furrowed in thought, thinking back to the events that had taken place since she’d entered the stadium.

“I think I just got mugged,” She said aloud, glancing over at the man in the seat next to her. “What am I going to do now? I won’t make it far from Manaan now – I gotta ship to look after.” Thea sank down in her chair and blew out a breath. “Maybe I can take some folks out in my shuttle; it goes underwater, now that I think about it. Touristy people like that sort of thing, don’t they?” Thea was rambling, but seemingly unaware.

“On the plus side,” She took a drink from her straw, “This blue drink is very good. You should get one.”

"Seafood must be locally-sourced, but to the extent the remaining ingredients cannot be produced here, we have no other restrictions"

Wesa estimate dat da local Selkath will eat more seafood-based meals dan anything else, he thought, while realizing the ingredient procurement implications for the Manaan joint. Sure, his Gungan business associate began to compile a forecast model for the restaurant, based on the breakdown of what was sold in Pizza Hutt locations in the portion of Naboo controlled by the Gungans. Including, but not limited to, Spinnaker, Otoh Gunga and Rellias. That Gungan assistant simply took the average of relative sales between these restaurants in Gungan-land, and just adjusted for sales volume, acknowledging that an introductory promotion would be necessary to get the Manaan location up and running. Meanwhile, with this came the implication of having to know how long the lead time is to get ingredients delivered to the Manaan kolto platform, while acknowledging in full that seafood have shorter lead times than, say, cookies or fries under this stipulation. A new location was nice but knowing the local conditions was just as important, especially if the Selkath were a race that seemed to be highly price-elastic.

Iakchi

Babysitter, Bodyguard, Beverage Connoisseur
With the clear given to begin the fight, Iakchi began his charge, Wookiee eyes finding an Ailon warrior. He was tall, but this one was taller, his heavy armor gleaming in the light. Iakchi knew the benefits of armor, but his Wookiee blood carried with it a sense of honor that wouldn't allow it. He knew he was at a disadvantage in coverage, wearing only his Jedi tabard, but his enemy would be slow in that armor. Something he could more than match.

The Wookiee lunged at the warrior who had picked Iakchi as well, lightsaber ignited as he slid forward, thrusting it up with both hands on the grip. It wasn't often he was the one on the offensive, even in training, but it was an exhilarating experience. Even when his strike was parried the adrenaline took over, and he quickly whipped the second blade around to block a downward strike. It was a struggle, but his Wookiee strength prevailed as he pushed the locked weapons upward, not needed to use the Force to augment his strength, at least for now. He spun around, swinging the saber around and colliding into his enemy's weapon.

"You're strong, Wookiee," the Ailon grumbled through the heavy armor. "But not strong enough."

Iakchi grinned in response, pulling back from the attack. He'd given enough to make it seem like he was the overly aggressive type, and his plan worked. The Ailon began his assault, swinging left and right his massive claymore. Iakchi's Form III kicked in as he met strike after strike, effortlessly defending every swing. Energy crackled with every clash for what seemed like an eternity, but in reality lasted only a few seconds. He was good, even Iakchi would have to admit that, and the Wookiee was being pushed further and further back as they continued on.

But that was part of the plan.

Counterattacking was his go-to, and this was no different. He held on in his defense, unyielding, and before long it was Iakchi's turn to go on the offensive. He swung around to the side, putting the edge on the opposite side of his opponent, and after two more strikes, he parried quickly, knocking the Ailon's weapon aside for long enough to close the distance, rushing the heavily armored foe with a roaring bellow. Despite the armor he was able to push the enemy hard enough and far enough to shove him off the edge of the ring, a resounding crash rising up as he breathed heavily. It wasn't over, though. There were more, and Iakchi moved to find another.

[Manaan - The Hunt for Rood Oktober]

Within the chasm that the Silver task force was approaching, the area was alive with activity. Packs of small drones ran back and forth through the chasm, filtering the water to collect its rich Kolto contents. They had been at the task for about an hour now, and after another, they would be ready to return to their mothership for extraction.

Said mothership was much farther out, about a 100km away southeast of the chasm, quietly monitoring events while in stealth mode.

Thus far, neither the drones nor sensor crews of the mothership had noticed anything amiss, but they were alert for any Selkath submersibles. However, they had no clue that they were now being hunted by the Silvers as well.

Caedyn Arenais stood there looking between them with a hint of intrigue written on his face, he certainly wasn't trying to show anyone up, be rude or to distract anyone, and though no one had outright said anything, he wondered if maybe he was more in the way here than he would be of use. [member="Rachel Taff"] didn't seem to be feeling so happy...-Or perhaps it was better to say she wasn't feeling confident, it was easily noticeable in how she spoke, though he knew not why.

There were plenty of things that he didn't know about the Force. Force Imbuement was something his father had introduced him to way back before he joined the Je'daii Order as Veiere had made him a special tunic and garb that had been empowered with the light. From there, Caedyn had sought out instructions in Vur Tepe for which Ignis Imura had been his tutor. Caedyn's very own Bo Staff had been his inspiration behind the lesson, flexible to the point of bending with a strong enough swing, the Force that flowed through and around the non-lethal instrument also meant that it could combat against Dark Side apparitions and negative spirits.

The boy didn't say anything further for the time being, simply listening as the grown-ups spoke to one another while he thought back to the training he'd done with [member="Asha Hex"]. His sub-paths back on Tython and Svivren were Qigong Kesh (The Force) and Stav Kesh (Physical training and discipline), and there were still seven other paths to learn from, yet it was these two that he'd focused on, that had allowed him to learn what he had. There was still so much more that Caedyn had yet to touch upon, like theoretical learnings and technology and things like that. Besides, the Force offered an extraordinary amount of knowledge were one wishing to seek it that aside from these few things he had come to be good at, he really had only scratched the surface of this training.

Objective: BYOO

A high-pitched beeping sound counted the racers down until the big buzzer to go. Engines cracked like thunder as they were finally unleashed and the swoops were sent tearing down the track. For the briefest of moments, Cassius could be distracted from the stress that was bearing down on him from Dammon University wanting him to explore the underwater area. He’d been given a few days… how would he get down there now?

Salvation came in a way that could only be through the Force. A brunette woman took the empty seat next to him, complaining about how she had just gotten mugged. While he had sympathy for her, Cassius realized that this was the perfect opportunity. He had money – she had a submersible. The young Jedi couldn’t have asked for a better situation.

“You’re hired,” he said, shifting his body so he was facing her, and hoping that the immediate promise of pay would get her attention. “If your shuttle really can go underwater, then I have some use of it.” Digging into a pouch on his belt, he pulled out his holoprojector and flicked it on. A blue orb appeared – a three-dimensional representation of the planet. “Could you take me here?” Cassius asked, pointing to a specific area. A red dot appeared, and a silver dot showed where Ahto City was in relation to it.

The site wasn’t terribly far, it was just deep, and possibly difficult to navigate with deep trenches and underwater canyons. “I can’t promise that I can pay you too much… but it’s something.” He’d only really brought enough to rent a shuttle, which he would pilot himself. To rent out a shuttle and a pilot? That would probably cost more. Then again, if this woman just lost her credits, she would hopefully take any chance at making money she could get.

Keep track of where the drones are going: kolto-producing equipment may give their mothership's position away. Here the objective is to force them to surface, and then we board the submarine once surfaced. If we are unable to capture the thing, we may have to sink it, she thought, while Varindar was transmitting the telepathic message to the other participating Jedi. Hopefully they would be able to receive Varindar's telepathic message, and also the crew onboard the Selkath's heavy frigate and flagship for the purpose of this operation, the De Zeven Provincien. Meanwhile, she was grateful that they weren't detected yet; while the proton rockets were being loaded so that they can be ready to fire upon detection, it appears that, to the southeast of the rift, there are suspicious goings-on that warrant taking a closer look, possibly drone-related, and that she hoped at least one submarine would be able to investigate, Selkath or Silvers. But actually firing at it is not a good idea as of yet, be it concussion missiles, fired from airborne or underwater platforms, or proton rockets. Not enough of a resolution.
