"You're very generous, Thurion" Ylva replied to Théodred's Father, [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] concluding with a "Thank you" before catching the eye of [member="Coci Heavenshield"]. Ylva could almost hear the lecture in the glare alone, though she was certain to be on the receiving end sometime later, a reminder of her place in the reality of all things Valkyri and Dawnguard. Coci's Husband however had been very forgiving, perhaps going so far to brush the entire affair off as though it were nothing, for which aided in comforting the red wolf in her ease of guilt. It was then that he would turn the conversation over to [member="Théodred Heavenshield"] in question of why they were visiting. This of course bringing forth a whole other sense of apprehension, hoping that Théo's parents would be accepting of the marriage. Accepting of her.
There was a good deal riding on how they chose to respond to their Son; the years that had passed them by had been wondrous and more fulfilling than any other period of her life before Midvinter. She and Théodred had met some time before that of course, as he had told his parents, there was a time they'd spent with the Iron Empire and yet things didn't seem to truly open up for the couple until Théo had invited her to his home-world and she having fallen in love with the place, nearly so as she had with him.
Ylva knew that there would be some changes to come, life rarely ever stayed the same, yet her behavior of late could be attributed to one very significant change that she feared would turn everything on it's head, so to speak. Her snapping at Thurion had been a telling sign that she had something on her mind, though there were certain things that she kept buried and this had been one of those matters. Her partner, the man that she loved so dearly had put it down to nerves, which wasn't completely untrue. Ylva did wish for Thurion and Coci's approval, especially now...

"And I am the most happy I have ever been".
She turned to meet his adoring eyes, a smile taking to her lips as she then felt his loving kiss touch upon her cheek, her eyes dropping momentarily in response, Théodred making it so very difficult to keep her latest 'discovery' to herself. "Mm...-You had best enjoy it while it lasts" She said with an all too familiar teasing edge to her words, though also a reason behind her jest. Turning back to look to Thurion and Coci for a moment, Ylva inhaled quietly, half of her smile fading a little out of wariness; "Because in..." She paused, as though she were taking a moment to recall something, "roughly seven months...-You'll be a Father too" she turned to look back to Théodred, hoping that this was something that he even wanted. It was all so very new and honestly frightening for she herself.
