Culture: While the Guntha itself does not have have a culture (due to the fact that isn't sentient) it does have strong ties to the culture of the Frontier of Concord Dawn. Also known as the Concord Hound and Prairie Hound, the Guntha is the primary food source for the many other creatures of Concord Dawn's arid plains. Utilized as beasts of burden and herded in large groups by Frontier travelers and homesteaders they have a very special relationship with the people of Concord Dawn. Be it a solitary companion on the open plains or even a guard animal to protect the homestead the Guntha can be a prized possession and its tough hide and chitin-like skull are often used for trading and makeshift armor.

General behavior: Generally found in large familial herds, the Guntha operate like a mix between bovines and canines. With an "Alpha" Bull leading the herd of mostly females, or Cows they can often be found grazing in the wild. Living off of mostly grasses, fruits and seeds meat is what makes the Alpha Bull strong. Its no surprise that these sharp fanged creatures devour meat, what is however interesting is that the Alpha is the one that eats the most meat and is observed to be the only one allowed to eat fallen members of the herd. Easily domesticated, especially in large groups, they also make great farmhands and guard animals on the sparsely populated farms and homesteads dotted across the arid plains of Concord Dawn.

History: Not much is known about the actual origin of the Guntha. This is due to the frontier nature of Concord Dawn where there has been little time to sit and sift through the planet's history. Despite this, it is theorized that during some cataclysmic event hundreds if not thousands of years before an immigrated kath hound species was nearly killed off with the remainder evolving to eat the grasses that sprung up during the planet's rejuvenation resulting in the Guntha known today. For much of their known history however the Guntha have had a strong relationship with the planet's Mandalorian settlers providing a seemingly never ending source of food, dairy, and work for the people living along the arid plains of Concord Dawn.
