Guide to the Force

This is completely for the benefit of those wanting to teach, or for those who are looking at finding training in a specific field. More advanced techniques will be added as well, but must be confirmed by the Silver Jedi Council before training can begin. Below will be posted a list of abilities that can be channeled through the Force, please remember that some techniques are only to be trained/performed at a certain level/rank. (e.g: Force lightning/Emerald Lightning would have a greater result from a Master more than a Padawan).

The Force

The Force is a mystical, binding and universal power that holds enormous importance to all beings in the Galaxy, holding the systems together and connecting all living things through this energy field. The Force is viewed in many different aspects, including but not limited to, the Light side, the Dark side, the Unifying Force and the Living Force. The first two aspects, these being of Light and Dark, also being known as Ashla and Bogan, are concerned with the moral compass of the Force, as manifested by the conduct and emotions of living creatures who are themselves part of the fabric of the Force.

The Light Side of the Force is the sect aligned with compassion, selflessness, self-knowledge and enlightenment, healing, mercy and benevolence, whereas the Dark Side of the Force is the element aligned with hatred, fear, greed, anger, aggression, jealousy and malevolence. These next two aspects are defined by the current Jedi philosophies: The Unifying Force essentially embraced space and time in its entirety while the Living Force deals with the energy of all that are living. Though the Force is categorised in this way, there are no specific abilities or powers that are usable by a follower of a particular path of the Force, meaning that basically what you can do with the Force is infinite.

The Force has a range of recorded powers that exist in accordance to fundamental attributes that are important in the terms of nature, and are determined by the way in which a user is able to focus on the Force while using an ability. The aspects of the Force are divided into three sub-groups; Control, Sense and Alter. Under these three groups, are several core abilities that can be expanded upon and changed depending on the user. From these core abilities, are several different ways to manipulate the Force, all are different in the individuals hands, whether taught through Jedi teachings and Sith, Light Side and Dark, the overall result will differ for each practitioner.

Control

This aspect focuses primarily on the user’s body, extending the feats that one could normally perform. Control is taught as a way for Jedi to open their minds to the Force and establish a base point for further development. As mentioned before the central theme of this aspect is based on the ability to control one’s own body, focusing primarily through vigorous meditations and trances. A well-known side effect of mastering Control would be prolonged life and avoidance of bodily decay, having established discipline over the body. Three main abilities are centered on Control, those being tutaminis(energy absorption), curato salva (healing self and others) and altus sopor(invisibility).

Padawan/Knight/Master/Council Permission


Alchaka
A rigorous series of highly personal, highly repetitve meditation exercises.


Art of Movement
A technique used to increase the average performance of the user.


Breath Control
Allows the user to last longer without oxygen than an average person, numbing the bodies instincts to take a breath.


Center of Being
A meditation technique used during combat, which when performed by a advanced practitioner, can enable the user to defend themselves unconsciously.

Detoxify Poison
The ability to detoxify or eject poisons from the body, also works with alcohol, enabling user to drink vast amounts and still remain sober.


Flashburn
The ability to erase sections of the users memory, leaving them unable to recover the memory or remember it ever existed.


Force Body
A technique used to push past the endurance limit of the body, allowing them to live through events that would normally kill them, ignoring the pain and danger.


Force Enlightenment
A technique that strengthens the more skilled abilities of the user, pushing them to the highest degree.


Force Healing
An ability that allows the user, through the Force, to accelerate the natural healing process of the victim, whether it be themselves or another.


Force Speed
An ability allowing the user to maintain the speed of sprinting for longer periods of time, even being able to incorporate this into combat, slowing down the world around them, increasing the effectiveness of attacks and dodges.


Force Stealth/Force Concealment
A technique which can be used to mask a Force sensitives Force alignment (Light or Dark) or even their entire presence, leaving them seemingly invisible in the Force.


Hibernation Trance
A meditation technique that allows the user to enter a deep hibernation state, using only minimal resources (air, water).


Morichro
A more advanced version of the former technique, bringing all bodily functions to a standstill, allowing the user to last without food and water for a considerable amount of time.


Tapas
The ability to remain warm in cold environments, retaining the heat that is produced by the body, instead of allowing it to leave.


Force Cloak/Cloak of Shadow
The ability to manipulate light and sound, rendering the user virtually invisible to the naked eye.

Sense

Sense abilities are often taught to Padawans to broaden the scope of their Control Abilities, as well as allowing them to be perfected as they continue on their progression through the Order. Dipping into a deeper understanding of the Living Force, Sense abilities allow Force-wielders to immerse themselves in the environment. By the end of their apprenticeship, Padawans are expected to use the Force as an additional sense, constantly attuned to the flow of the Force. Sense abilities are divided into four main sections: prima vitae (tracking through the Force), tactus otium, taivordrax/psychometry andprojected telepathy. While there are many other styles to the Sense family, these are considered the most vital to Jedi teachings.

Force Listening
A technique used to listen in on conversations occuring a great distance away, even being able to interpret different languages if used by a more advanced practitioner.


Force Meld
A technique where a number of Force-users joined their minds through the Force, drawing strength from each other, and coming so close as to act as a single individual.


Force Sense
An ability that can be used to feel another being's feelings, the future, ripples in the Force caused by momentous or traumatic events, impending danger and the presence of the dark side.


Precognition/Battle Precogntion
The ability that manifests in the form of visions of future events, or even helping a Force-user predict their opponents next move.


Shatterpoint
The ability to identify specific fault lines in a living being or object, exploiting them causing damage or great good.


Psychometry
A technique enabling the user to pick up on impressions or traces of information from a specific object, and the vents that surround it.


Force Empathy
The technique related to Force Sense, but focusing on picking up specific impressions of an individuals emotional state.


Farsight
The ability to gain an impression of events that were transpiring in another location, seen through visions that focused primarily on strong imagery and emotions.


Force Sight
The ability to see with the Force, either enhancing the user's vision or abandoning it all together, using the Force to interpret the surroundings.


Force Vision
Normally activated through deep meditation, Force visions are a rare feat which gift the user with a glimpse of the future or past.


Telepathy
The ability to mentally communicate with beings over small or great distances.


Comprehend Speech
An ability that allows the user to interpret and understand the spoken language of any sentient they're interacting with.


Shadow Vision
The antithesis of Force cloak, this ability allows the user to ignore the effect of Force concealment and identify the presence of those that are hidden. Sadly this technique is nearly extinct, with the origins of the ability lost to the Jedi and the galaxy.

Alter

An advanced form of Force-use, many non-trained Force-sensitive’s stumble upon this group of powers accidently, usually resulting in disastrous events. Untamed, these Force abilities can cause mass chaos, as the art of manipulating other objects must be perfected and honed. Within the Jedi Order, these abilities are considered to be Alter abilities, and are taught to Jedi Knights who have mastered the art of Control and Sense. Capable of affecting the environment, these abilities are vital to a successful, as without them, individuals can see the Force, but are incapable of manipulating it. In the Jedi Order, the techniques of telekinesis, affect mind and alter environment are considered to make up this family of abilities, with minor powers branching of from them.

Alter Damage
An ability that allows the wielder to manipulate the weapon they carry (lightsaber), reducing or increasing the damage it dishes out in a single strike.



Alter Environment
An ability that allows the wielder to manipulate the environment around them, calling on nature to attack, defend or support.



Alter Image
A technique used to alter the physical make-up of the user, whether it be appearance, voice or sex.



Animal Friendship
The ability to control an animal, allowing it to be ridden or even assist in battle depending on the species.



Battle Meditation
A technique that affects a vast amount of beings, increasing morale and hope on the user's side, while filling the opposing side with despair and hopelessness.



Combustion
An ability that causes an object/being to explode if enough concentration is put into the object by the user.



Crucitorn
The ability to either transcend immense pain, or make the victims pain seem unbearable, when in fact only increasing the persons interpretation of the pain, not the physical.



Dark Transfer
The ultimate form of healing, this ability brings the victim back from the brink of death, restoring them to full health.



Doppelganger
A power that allows the user to project a perfect illusion of themselves or other objects.



Droid Disable
The ability to overload and damage electronic systems such as droids through the Force.



Electric Judgement/Emerald Lightning
The Light side variant of Force lightning, cast in yellow or green light, rather than violet or blue.



Force Bellow
The ability to amplify their voice to ear-piercing standards through the Force.



Force Blinding
An ability where a bright flash of pure light is created by the user and projected from their hand, blinding all those who look upon it.



Force Deflection/Tutaminis
The ability to either halt or alter the direction of an incoming weapon. An alternative is to absorb the attack entirely.



Force-Flash
The ability to short out or block the vision of security devices. Much like droid disable, this technique is used when a Jedi wants to avoid detection.



Force Jump/Leap
An ability used to enhance the natural leaping prowess of the user, reaching great heights, or crossing distances.



Force Light
A powerful technique used to abolish sections of dark side nexuses in an area or even a person, cleansing them of the dark corruption that has afflicted them.



Force Orb
An ability that gathers surrounding water or moisture to form an orb of water that could then be used as an attack.



Force Stun
A technique used to dull or numb the bodily senses and perceptions of a targeted enemy, preventing any movement.



Force Stasis
A more advanced version of the previous technique, stasis can freeze the target in place, putting them a near-catatonic state.



Force Stasis Field
The highest level of Force stun, Stasis field allows the user to stun multiple targets, placing them all in the same state as stasis would on an individual.



Force Subjugate
The ability to tamper or cause pain to a creatures mind or psyche, either calming or enraging the victim.



Force Suppression
This technique is used to convey the idea to opponents that the Force connection of the user had been severed, when in fact the presence remains the same, and the opponents minds being the ones affected.



Force Weapon
The ability to imbue an non-powered weapon with the Force, allowing more damage to be inflicted, and withstanding more powerful weaponry (lightsabers).



Malacia
An ability that imbued the target with extreme dizziness and nausea, going so far as to make the victim vomit, but nothing to seriously damaging.



Mechu-deru
A technique used to quickly analyse mechanical objects, gaining knowledge on the inner workings almost immediately which are then used to better understand the device.



Mind Trick
A series of techniques that affect the mind of the target, influencing their decisions to better suit that of the user.



Plant Surge
An ability that when channeling life energy into the plants around the user, can influence the acceleration of growth and the direction of growth, causing it to shape into the form of the user's desire.



Protection Bubble
The ability to create a defensive sphere around the body, being able to absorb blaster fire and other such attacks.



Pyrokinesis
A technique that allowed the user to generate and manipulate fire, by heating up the molecules around them.



Revitalise
The ability to revitalise an exhausted, wounded or even unconscious being, whether it be themselves or someone else.



Sever Force
A technique used to block or interrupt the flow of Force inside a being, resulting in the victim losing their connection to the Force.



Telekinesis
A series of abilities that allows the user to mentally move things with their mind. An extremely common ability throughout all Force-using sects.



Wall of Light
The manifestation of destructive light side energy, multiple Jedi are required to perform this technique, resulting in the eradication of all dark side presence in the epicenter of the wall.
