Gray, and your opinion

Hey there everyone! So I know I am new to the site and haven't done a ton of RPs yet, so most people would not have any experience with my character. Despite that fact, I was hoping to get some feedback on what everyone thinks of Gray. I am looking for any kind of response you can think of. I want to hear all your opinions be they good or bad! What am I doing right with him? What am I doing wrong? Does he feel consistent in his personality? Does he feel like he has developed since I first brought him out?

I could go on and on with more questions I would like answered, but the single most important still remains. What is your opinion on Gray? Just let me know what it is and I will do my best to work on what needs improving for him and keeping on doing what works!

Thank you to everyone for reading and your replies!

1. Personally, I think your doing lot's of thing correctly with him despite having about only 10 posts with you so far. I like his character, to me he seems like the kind of selfless yet disrespectful or disloyal hero. Like an Anti-Hero and I love Anti-Hero's.

2. What are you doing Wrong? Well, I can't exactly tell seeing as how I'm not the best person to as if something has a problem as I usually don't see problems with what people right. Well, unless it's only like two - three sentences but even then..I find it hard to find bad things. Maybe, write more about his personal thought while using italics because that's what I've been doing and personally to me, it gives an insight onto the mental state of the character.

3. Yes.

4. Well, I guess I wouldn't really know. But, in the end, just trust what your doing.

Thanks! I never really saw Gray as an anti-hero personally, but then again I don't really see him as anything other than Gray to me. The inner thoughts thing I try to sprinkle into the sentences right now as a break from all of the exposition, but I will keep the italic thing in mind. Might be helpful for others as they read to understand which lines are his thoughts.

In all seriousness bro:

I think that character wise your pretty consistent. Your a guy trying to find his way in the galaxy, trying to learn what it means to be a Mandalorian, trying to just be a good fella. I think that you kinda (in my opinion) follow something of the Luke Skywalker and the Harry Potter archtype; a young ward going through the classic monomyth and learning his place and what he is able to overcome through a series of trials and hardships.

I think that in a lot of ways that is what I see, Character-wise. I (personally) find it a bit refreshing. After playing a lot of nega-heroes, and the like, its refreshing to see more "human" and innocent characters on the board for me. But then again, maybe I only see the bad side cause most criminals are, and I play a criminal after all :D

Perfection in human form.
I think your character is quite unique in terms of origin and attitude. Typically most parents die before their kids become Mandos. Your Father died when you joined, if I'm correct. My character doesn't like him, but that's for IC threads, I personally believe him to be a mix of Han Solo and Jango Fett. Solo since your character is kinda cocky, Jango because you are a Mandalorian anti-hero who only does what he needs to to get by. Anyway, you are one of the perfect array of villains that are after my character, that list is long with Mandos and smugglers.

I'm glad to hear that he is going over well with people. It also seems like everyone sees Gray in a different way too. I'm assuming that is a good thing and means he is complex enough that you can't completely pin him down. I'm glad for that because it means he is more "human" than fictional, which is exactly what I want to go for with him. Thank you for the feed back!

Points to self as an anti-hero

Yup, no problem! I enjoy threading with you. The banter is fun and epically hilarious. Sometimes its good to stretch the funnier parts of James out--like the time he tried to use the Force and ended up falling on his face in the middle of combat--or the many times where its like,

"James was drunk. The sky is blue. Now to less obvious facts."

Its fun, I look forward to seeing where you go with him.

Well the plan right now is to James' house so he can find that bank account number he was so unjustly (pun) denied in a thread! And then he is going to take both his girls out on some hot dates.... And James will have no money to place a bounty with. MUHAHAHHAHAHA!

The serious answer to that though is that my current plan is to finish having Gray find out he has force abilities so I can go get him started training on them. Also have a plan of going with [member="Jack Raxis"] to make Gray some armor in the Mandalorian tradition of families making armor together. Outside of that, kind of depends on what is going on that Gray will do. He is a free lance merc after all.

Sure things. I am always open for RP. Shoot me a PM if you want to hash things out or if you have an idea already just mention me in the opening post for the thread.

Thanks! And he actually shot her dad in this latest thread. He yelled something about it being for his own good and the right thing and for his family.....

Then Gray will have to make sure he uses James weakness against, surprise stun bolts.
