STRENGTHS

Gravity Disks: Gravfield Generators in each disk causes the local gravity in it’s immediate vicinity to temporarily increase by a factor of eight, either slowing or completely subduing targets caught in its field. Once deployed, the disks only activate once their proximity sensors have been triggered.
Silent: The minute repulsor fields that launch the disk are highly tuned and extremely quiet, allowing for stealthy deployment of the payload.
Prediction Scope: Displays a projected flight path for the disks, aiding in accurate deployments.
G-LOC: The force of the gravitational field is enough to cause the blood in organic target to pool in the abdominal organs, starving the brain of oxygen and causing the victim to suffer effects normally associated with intense positive vertical g-forces. Symptoms include graying out, tunnel vision, blacking out. Death is rare, but not unheard of.

WEAKNESSES

Radius: The disks can only increase the gravity in an area approximately one meter in diameter, anything outside of this is completely unaffected.
Slow: The launcher only fires one disk at a time, requiring the operator to manually load and prime the repulsor generators for several seconds before firing another round. It simply isn’t designed for a heated and prolonged gunfight.
Temporary: Unlike the man traps on which it is based, the disks are independently powered by a cells located in each device. While this allows them to deployed almost anywhere with ease, this means that they can only generate the gravitational field for a maximum of five minutes.
Off Button: It, uh, doesn’t have one. The mine unfortunately cannot be deactivated once it has been deployed, nor can it be switched off once the generator has kicked in. It can be destroyed with a well placed blaster bolt, however. A sort of universal off button, I suppose.

DESCRIPTION

Ever feel that the weight of the world is on your shoulders? Don’t you wish you could share that heavy burden with your adversaries? Well, with the new Gravitas Launcher from Tricks of the Trade, finally you can. And then some.
Firing disk mines with a micro gravfield generator payload, this little gem is perfect for individuals that like to lay on a warm welcome, allowing them to effectively seed an area prior to an engagement. Triggered by onboard proximity detector that becomes active once deployed, these mines will immediately cause the local gravity to intensify by a factor of eight, which should effectively slow and/or trap any unfortunate individuals unlucky enough to be caught in its blastwave. This makes it ideal for quickly and effectively dealing with species with immense strength, such as Trandoshans, Whiphids and Wookiees, and is even capable of stopping repulsor vehicles dead in their tracks, often with sudden and violent results.
