GR Invasion of Ord Mirit

[member="Darth Venefica"]
I very well understood it once you pointed it out. I merely stated that I disagree with it, and think that it should be taken as a learning experience in future invasions that wording is very important so as not to discount new members.

Nobody likes to be told they can't participate because they're new, ya know? Anyway, learning experience. *goes back to taking over Csilla*

It is stated.....Padawan/Acolytes MUST be active 14 days prior to the cut-off date....which usually means all new people as well.

Sorry you don't like the rule.....and enjoy the rest of your night.
Strange, the Republic is allowing non active NFU's and padawans join even if they haven't been active the last 14 days. (one instance of a member who has been gone for months and came back a few days ago)

Perhaps clarification to make sure both sides are on the same stance is required?

Personally, I don't think new members who only belong to each Major faction or that padawans and acolytes should be denied entry at all.

The deadline is always rigidly enforced for Knights and Masters but not for Padawans and therefore NFUs are typically OK.

:)

The GR dictated the rules......so just for clarification:

A Padawan/Acolyte has a falling out with their Faction IC the night before an invasion, leaves said invasion to join the other side, and just because they are new to the faction and hold the rank of Padawan turned Acolyte or vice versa, they would be allowed to join the invasion; meaning the 14 day active rule doesn't apply?

And I agree with you, they shouldn't be denied participation, thus for future invasions the 14 day active rule should never be brought into play again for padawans and acolytes; only for Knights and Masters.

You're fine.....you're in.

Perhaps not, but that's the beauty of RP. It doesn't have to and still builds story.

Excellent.

Thank you all for clearing that up.

Well......I know what was said in OOC. Remember, you joined the OS and wanted to participate in the invasion, meaning you joined to help us win. If you are planning to undermine the OS, well....that's bad taste, bad form, and bad sportsmanship. Granted, you are free to do what you want.....but achieving it....well....that's a whole different matter.
