An Colonies Vary in Structure, some being purely superficial and perhaps only having Stone do some cover, others extending far beneath the ground, both have one thing in common besides the general Stone, Wood and Mud materials they use for construction, they all have access to water. The Colonies that go beneath the ground have found water and all the kills they bring are stored in the underground Cavern beside the Queen which is in most cases at the Bottom or Center of a Colony to offer Maximum protection. Giant Ants have a Fascination with shining Objects such as Crystals or Metals so many such objects are found within the corridors of the Queens' Chamber.
Overall the Ants are a Hostile Species and their Antennae communicate in a wavelength that travels through sound and works in many ways live a connected hive mind mentality, if one ant knows your location then in the speed of the antennae signal the others will also be altered. Some Queens go Months without Mating while Some Queen especially those of Small Colonies Mate much more frequently to increase the Size of her Colony all the more Quickly. The Hatching process is also simple, after the eggs have hatched a special caste of Worker Ants who tend to them feed them and nurse them, sometimes a single worker ant is in charge of an entire batch of eggs for the entire 6 Month process of their maturity in which 80% of the breed survive. The Batch are of a single Caste, if the Queen wanted a Batch of Workers then she would mate with a Worker Ant.
Queens Can be of any Caste, a Female Breed by a Warrior Ant is by Nature Bigger and more powerful but less Fertile than the Smaller more Docile Worker Queen yet both look identical.
Once the Ant reaches Maturity which is in the time of Half a standard year it is put directly into the line of work where it instinctively begins to learn from the older Ants who take part in the growing of new ones before they die.
