Remember the Republic

Tag: Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla , Black Hand Crime Syndicate
It's been over eight centuries since the Clone Wars. A massive conflict that would change the galaxy forever. It's impact would leave scars on most worlds, some still healing. The Galactic Republic of the past is gone along with their old clone armies. Ships were scrapped though many old destroyers remain despite being aged. Though across the Galaxy, those scars can be seen. Such as rusting wrecks of old Venators or a field with hundreds of buried battle droids. In the war turned out to be a façade. The Sith controlled both sides and were able to turn the war in their favor.

Mandalorians were also hit hard by the war. As a result of the Clone Wars, a civil war broke out between the Mandalorians which was one of the bloodiest wars to come. Eventually, the Republic got involved and sent an attachment of the 501st to Mandalore to support the Nite Owls. Along with them came a Venator just minutes before Order 66 was issued. The Venator was called The Iridescent which carried reinforcements from 212th. They were going to occupy the planet. The order came for all Jedi to be terminated and all aboard obeyed except one clone, Alpha-23. AKA, "Volts". Volts wasn't a normal clone. He was a special breed of only one hundred to be made known as the Alpha Class ARC Troopers. These were elite clone that were bred to fight. Volts teamed up with the Jedi Knight on board to fight off the other clones who were given the order.

The fighting on the ship caused the ship to drop out of hyperspace and begin barreling towards an Asteroid. Things became dire when the Jedi was overrun by the clone troopers eventually dying. His last order was for Volts to go somewhere safe which he did finding a stasis pod used for medical purposes and locking himself inside. After he went to sleep, the ship crashed killing everyone on board except for Volts. Everything went quiet and the ship was hidden on the asteroid for years. Centuries passed and Volts remained in a slumber being frozen in time. The Galaxy changed and his comrades died off. New Regimes rose and regimes fell. Wars were won and lost.

Present Day, Volts still remained in his slumber. It seemed that the Iridescent was discovered by a band of scavengers near Mandalore. Owing a favor to a certain organization, The Scavengers tipped off the Black Hand of a trove of clone wars weapons and gear ready to be taken. The only obstacle that stood in there was the possibility of a rival coming to get a piece of the pie.

Aloy sat in the cockpit of an Outlander-class starfighter, Starring at the carcass of the ancient venator from behind the glasteel view port.
The red and white duraplast ship sat thrust into the largest asteroid in this sector, Surrounded by the twinkling void and a maze of many smaller asteroids that formed rings around it.
Perfect place for an ambush, She thought.

And it was for that reason she'd chosen to bring only a few vode with her. It would be easier to escape if it were just them, And less damage done to the black hand if they went missing temporarily.

"R-12, Bring us in"
She says in a low tone to the astromech pilot she'd entrusted the ship with, Picking up her helmet and ducking her way into the passenger room. The droid simply beeped and whirred affirmatively, And immediately set a course for the derelict hanger bay.

Stepping into the hold, Aloy's prosthesis clicked and whirred as she came to a stop, Taking hold of hand rail above in one hand, And her helm in the other. Flanking her on either side were mandalorians and other outcasts that had volunteered or otherwise been chosen for this mission. All marked either by painted hand prints or digitally on one another's HUDs as members of the collective, Men and women she trusted with her life and more. And whom, She hoped, Trusted herself with theirs. She gave them all a look that she'd only give Aliit. Family.

"Well kids, I think I'll skip the dramatic briefing this time. Nothing we haven't done before right? Just look sharp and put your breath masks on. We're on in five" She says smugly, With a matching grin.

Before too long, The sound of docking clamps would echo through the husk and rock their starfighter back and forth.
Aloy slips her helmet on, The subtle hiss denoting the pressurization and stored air releasing into the interior.
Next came the hydraulic hiss of the boarding ramp as it lowered, Soon cut off by the vacuum of space as all sound was drowned out, And all light with it.

Before long, Helm lights and other portable light sources were activated, And Aloy stepped out with her Vode, Jetpacks, Rocket boots, Magno-grip boots and other devices keeping them on a steady course through the remains of a large hanger bay.

::I'm heading to for the med-bay and barracks, Bound to be some loot that way. Come with or split up, Just keep in contact, Over::

There was many many things stardust enjoyed to do, from tending to her farm, to teaching those that came her way, to working on her droids to her blasters and all the way to her many starfighter, however there was one thing she truely enjoyed and that was collecting items from the era known as the clone wars. This was a massive war that spanned the entire known galaxy of the time, ot reminded her oddly of this time and how little things truely had changed, sure you can advance your tech thousands of years ahead of your time, discover new planets and species, you could cure disease, but war spanning the entire galaxy never ever changed. Be it the Sith and jedi, the vong and jedi, the many gangs that spanned the galaxy far and wide.

What laid before them was a treasure trove of likely well preserved items from that time, standing over most her fellow vod she glanced about as she watched Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla enter she passenger hold and gave a respectful nod to her. It looked to be a easy run and some good loot, maybe if they got lucky they could get some more weapons and even vehicles for the black hand. Adjusting her solus jetpack she put her helmet on and felt the lekku armor extend then seal as she rolled her neck sighing as the vacuum of space welcomed her as she slowly maneuvered out and glanced around before comming to aloy

gonna hit the armory up, surely some of the weapons got to be there not to mention maybe some armor

She got her mag boots on the floor and started walking, if her memory served right she had a pretty easy path to the armory

::Roger, I'll move on to the med-bay than:: She chimes Stardust before moving on, Marching slowly with her mag-boots.
Eventually she would pass through an energy gate that held the air in the ship. She sighs in relief as the air filters into her helm. It was by no means fresh, But it was better than nothing.
The rest of the trip through the ancient husk was chilling. Loose wires still sparked, Providing the only white noise to distract from the eerie silence aside from her own footsteps.
They also provided the only light, Forcing her to rely on her nightvision visor, Providing a dull green visual of the environment she worked in, Which was beginning to show signs of battle. Blaster scorching, Loose wall panels, And even the skeletal remains of plasteel armored figures, Their white armor having faded to a dull cream color. Curiously, Some of them had cuts across their armor, Like hot plasma.
Finally she arrived at the medical bay, Which still had just enough power to activate a very dim light as she approached the door, Which opened automatically. Albeit very slowly.
She squeezes her way through, Deactivating her nightvision as she takes a look around the room.
There wasn't much, Just overturned surgical trays and empty med kits, The occasional open shelf. Glancing too and fro, She finds nothing, Just bumping into a control panel by mistake.
A sudden hissing sound causes her to turn suddenly, Finding a little pod beginning to light up in the background.
"Defrosting process, Beginning in 3..." An mechanical voice says, Barely audible from years of wear.
Aloy approaches the pod, Wiping the cold glasteel dome clean, And recoiling in shock. To her surprise, There was a face beneath that cold dome, A dark man with blackened hair, Who looked as fresh as the day he'd been put aboard this ship.
The life sign scanner on the side of the pod was still reading a steady pulse, All signs in the green.
Staring at it for but a moment, She steps back and immediately activates her comms.
::Solus! We... We got a live one here!::

The Tomb has been Cracked

With the defrosting process complete, Volts slowly awakened feeling like he just woke up from a long sleep in the bunks. The figure was clad in what appeared to be an upgraded version of the standard clone trooper armor that could be seen laying around all over the ship. It had been preserved as well looking a bit scratched up though. Its orange markings were similar to the other remains across the ship. His eyes opened and he spotted Aloy, probably a member of Maul's Mandalorian supporters, he thought. When the pod hissed open allowing cold oxygen to create a smoke screen around him, he jumped out into the medbay quickly looking around for his helmet. He grabs the dusty thing and placed it atop of his head allowing him to see Aloy through the smoke.

Volts had no idea what was going on. What year it was or where the hell the ship crashed at. All these questions would be in his head as reached over to a table looking for the pistol he left there. It was probably dislocated by the impact or was taken by one of the survivors. He found the blaster pistol under the table, an old dusty DC-17 Hand Blaster. His old reliable, It may be old but it could still shoot he hoped. The clone slowly raised the pistol having moved behind Aloy at this point now.

"Identify yourself! Or I'll put a bolt in your head, Mando."

Volts said, glad to hear his own voice again. Well the voice of all his long dead brothers. He had a more gruff tone but still sounded like your standard Jango Fett clone. He kept the barrel trained on her head ready for any sudden movements. Volts thought it'd only been a year judging by all the dust. What happened before the freeze changed Volts. He had to put down his brothers for no reason. It saddened him to the core but it had to be done. In the end it was for nothing though. The Jedi was dead and his lightsaber is probably somewhere near the lower hanger bays ready for use by a worthy user. Were these scavengers? Or did they win against the 501st. Poor Rex, maybe this happened too on Mandalore. So many factors raced through his head that he would let down his rear guard.

This was a pretty exciting expedition. Tahlah was not brought up with an education of galactic history. Mostly the history of their clan, but even that was suspect of truth with the small band of wayward Vizslas that raised her. The imposing ship just sat peacefully there in the void. It was welcoming, but alos as eerie as those tunnels from the fortress they had explored not too long ago. The moment she saw the darker side of war, and would have a permanent souvenir of that day with her right arm, or lack thereof now.

She has adjusted to the new arm pretty well now. She could at least coordinate it just as good as she used to. However, now was the time for work, not remising. The Outlander Class moved in closer, and eventually they were ordered to leave. Tahlah was not the first to leave though. She borrowed one of the spare magboots left on the ship before leaving, and decided to wander the corridors for anything interesting.

The clinking of her boots rang through the silent corridors. Some recently made demons came back in her mind for a split second. A woman's near-raspy chuckle rang in her mind for a second before fading away in the Nautolan's subconscious. The further she went, the more on edge she got. So, she promptly turned around, and went back to find the others. That was when she heard some commotion. A new voice, and a real one, was echoing through the halls, and Aloy's remarks on the comms, confirmed something was happening. The voice was strange. It was an accent she had not really heard before. Though her tendrils were picking up the new presence as extremely old. Very, very old, but confused and unaware of how old they really are. As she ran in to the med-bay, she saw some soldier with a gun pointed at the Alor. Tahlah stopped, and drew her pistols. Though, the right draw was slightly slower with her new arm's mechanical joints still needing to be broken in a bit for fast movement. They then strained slightly with a little
"vrrr!" sound that resonated a bit with the new silence of the situation at hand.

"You want me to light this one up, or is talk still possible?", she asked her Alor.

She had just reached the armory, looking around the place as she whistled with a smile and rubbed her hands together seeing a trove of forgotten weapons and armor that had its person long since rotted away

freaking gold mine, thisll be nice haul

She came in slowly, picking up a blaster rifle and looked it over before taking aim and smiling as she opened it and laughed

hell a full charge! This is definitely my lucky day!

Setting it down she moved around a little, lotta old explosives she'd rather not touch, blasters of different types including a minigun, some armor that was laying around with varying blaster marks

well...sheds some light on what may've happened here

She took a helmet and looking it over, seemed intact. She was moving for some more armor when her comm came alive with the frantic voice of Aloy Vizsla Aloy Vizsla

ferfek! I'm en route!

She dropped the helmet, mag boots thumping hard against the durasteel floor, she looked at the markings as she deactivated he rboots and started pushing herself rapidly down the corridor l, she hit the on switch ad she came to the med bay and drew her westar 35s out and took aim at the unknown person, then she paused and lowered then as she started approaching

easy friend, calm yourself. You've been asleep for awhile, lower the blaster and we can properly explain things yeah?
