Description:

Once referred to by the Dread Lord Artemis Obauldi as the Simulacra, this Qahsa's power is all but drained. It once held the memories and life of Artemis Obauldi, as well as the secret to extending Artemis's life through a genetic relative in the future. After the events of Knightfall, the Dread Lord's war on the Jedi of his time, Artemis fell ill and concocted this solution to immortality. Though unable to perform the ritual before his passing, the foundation had been laid, and Obauldi's son Araxis would ensure the ritual was completed. Unfortunately, the children of Obauldi engaged in a civil war within the Dread Lord's Yuuzhan Vong Empire and destroyed themselves; the Simulacra and its secrets being long forgotten and hidden through time. It was only when the Myrshavong soldier, Nas Kraal (later known as Tsavong Kraal), found it that the ritual was finally completed. Absorbing the power of the Simulacra, the memories and lifetime of Artemis Obauldi were transferred to this Myrshavong, purifying his body of its mutations and genetically marking the Myrshavong as a newly bred Yuuzhan Vong warrior.

Artemis, or the shade of the Dread Lord that the Simulacra had successfully emulated, was in control of this new body for quite some time while Tsavong lay dormant in the back of his mind. Artemis forsook the ways of Tsavong, turning his back on the One Sith and the loyalist Yuuzhan Vong. During this time period, the Dread Lord would seek to secure power for himself among the loyal Hrosha-Gul faction... until an excursion with the Primeval leaders found him face to face with an ancient Sith artifact that was able to affect the Dread Lord's mind. It tore away at the wall between Obauldi and Kraal's minds, allowing mental chaos to ensue within Tsavong. Shortly after abandoning his post at Titan Industries, Tsavong would bring the Simulacra with him to the Outer Rim in an attempt to reverse the effects.

The Simulacra, or Gdin Es Qahsa as he now named it, was utterly powerless. It served only as a conduit for the Dread Lord's memories. Whatever ritual it had performed to bring Artemis back to "life", it would not work again. Now, it only performed the simple tasks of storing information and data, such as any other qahsa.

Like many other qahsas, the Gdin Es Qahsa has the Yuuzhan Vong's seven cortices, surrounding the eighth. It is within this eighth cortex that Tsavong has begun transcribing his life and his memories, despite the heretical nature of this particular cortex. His time at Titan Industries, his time with the One Sith, his leadership of the Hrosha-Gul. All of it has been updated to this qahsa so that when his mind truly breaks, the ex-Warmaster may delve back into it and remember who he truly is. And who he was. And why he has been broken.

The qahsa is stored within the skull of an Alderaani Jeedai that Tsavong slew during the battle. Tsavong decorated the skull with imprints and tattooes as such is fitting for a warrior even of his own race, and he keeps the skull close to him at all times. It is rumored that Tsavong never lets it leave his side, so he often removes it from the skull. Whether by attaching it to a necklace, keeping it in storage within his Necraesa armor, or implanting the qahsa deep beneath his own skin, it is always within arm's reach. Furthermore, this qahsa is imprinted with Tsavong's own unique biological marker sequenced by several genetic biochemical data strings. Simply put, it requires Tsavong to be touching it to be accessed.

The wealth of the Gdin Es Qahsa is vast. It retains all of Artemis Obauldi life, a previous Yuuzhan Vong Supreme Overlord. Artemis Obauldi was alive and fighting for the Yuuzhan Vong as a soldier near the end of the original Invasion when the Yuuzhan Vong first came this galaxy. Furthermore, Artemis Obauldi successfully rose through the ranks of the Yuuzhan Vong and served as their leader of quite some time following the war. He has extensive experience both as a battlefield tactician and a political leader, so his wealth of knowledge is immense. Since Yuuzhan Vong can live considerably longer than humans, it is rumored that Artemis lived until 133 ABY when his son supposedly poisoned him (though none of this is proven neither by this qahsa nor the official records of surviving Yuuzhan Vong.) As a qahsa being utilized by Tsavong, his lifespan has been considerably shorter and does not retain as much data. However, it does possess several intricacies from his time serving as Voice within the One Sith, all data mined from his time at Titan Industries including various schematics designed by Tsavong and his subordinates and the research that followed, the ritualistic birth of the Hydra Queen, and his subsequent betrayal of both Titan Industries and the One Sith. There can be no price placed upon the wealth of knowledge retained by the Gdin Es Qahsa - it is invaluable, particularly to Tsavong, a man who is losing his mind.
