Overview​

The Galactic Foreign Legion is a mercenary/private military organization created by Noah Corek and a few old military buddies to provide income for them and disaffected former soldiers as well as use their skills more productively than simply working the odd mercenary job here and there. The Legion has been described as outside observers as '...a highly effective, highly efficient and highly motivated private military corporation that for all intents and purposes are a regular military force.' and '...extremely well trained and extremely well equipped there is almost nothing this outfit can't do that a regular military force could do.' The GFL consists of a wide variety of mercenaries from a even wider variety of backgrounds. You've got Mandalorians and Echani, Imperials and Republicans, almost anyone is accepted into the Legion as long as they don't let their previous allegiances cloud their judgement, impact their performance or clash with their new comrades.

Jobs In the Legion​

While a vast majority of the jobs within the Legion revolve around combat roles and the like there are a also a decent quantity of non-combat personnel. Like previously stated a vast majority of the jobs in the Legion are combat roles, things such as riflemen, machine gunners, snipers, mortarmen, artillery crewmen, armored vehicle crewmen and even the elite Advanced Reconnaissance Commandos. However as with any significant military force there is always need for support personnel such as doctors, dentists, mechanics, armorers, psychologists, logistics managers, transport pilots, public relations experts and a whole load of other support personnel. This means that the Legion isn't just actively recruiting for only soldiers but a wide variety of other jobs.

Structure of the Legion​

The Legion is very decentralized in nature, while overall command falls to Noah Corek this is a very loose command as he trusts the commanders of each separate unit to do their job and run their unit as they see fit. The formal structure of the Legion is ten full regiments each with a set specialty, except the 1st Regiment nicknamed the 'Old Guard' which are made up of the most experienced Legionnaires and consists of largely former Omega Protectorate, New Republic and United Clans of Mandalore personnel. While the Legion is largely a infantry organization they do also employ vehicles such as tanks and armored fighting vehicles where the need arises.

The Legion offers many benefits to those that join such as a sense of comradeship, family and purpose. Of course those who are looking for more tangible benefits also receive things such as free medical and dental care, long and short term disability, performance and signing bonuses and life insurance, which are also available to any dependents they may have.
