STRENGTHS

Heavy Patrol Ship - Designed with a focus on increased armaments and defenses, the Nebula-class is more than able to take on the vessels often employed by Marauders, Pirates, and Raiders.

Single Craft Capacity - The GADF Nebula-class is capable of supporting a singular craft, often a Reconnaissance Starfighter or Boarding Shuttle, to assist in its standard patrols and inspections.

WEAKNESSES

Sublight Drive Systems - Following the design aesthetics of other Hapan ships has resulted in a similar drawback seen across various designs of these crafts. The primary Drive System of the GADF Nebula-class is located in two separate nacelle-like structures located along the port and starboard of the vessel. The location of these systems opens them to be easily accessible and damaged, potentially crippling the vessel.

No Hangar Capacity - Though capable of carrying a singular small craft, the GADF Nebula-class otherwise lacks the hangar capacity or capabilities to carry additional starfighter squadrons. This often requires that the Nebula-class rely on other Capital Ships or an assigned Escort to provide any assistance when it comes to Starfighter squadrons.

DESCRIPTION

New conflicts open the floodgates of chaos and allow for the multiplication and success of Marauders, Pirates, and Raiders as those vessels that originally patrolled well-traveled lanes of commerce are shifted to the frontlines of conflict. The Nebula-class Corvette is a newer line of vessel observed in the Hapes Consortium and with the alliance that has developed with the Galactic Alliance, the GADF variant has begun to see widespread deployment within Alliance territory to assist in patrolling and stemming the tide of Piracy and Marauding that is inevitable with conflicts. The GADF Nebula-class was designed with a focus on a higher rating of armaments and defensive capabilities, creating a heavier Corvette that is more than capable of standing against the ships often deployed by Marauders, Pirates, and Raiders. However, the primary drawback of the vessel can be seen in its lack of Hangar Capacity and its incapability of deploying any squadron size of Starfighters or Support Craft. This lack of capabilities often requires that it work alongside a Carrier or assigned Escort to provide any form of assistance when it comes to these squadrons. It should be noted, however, that the GADf Nebula-class is capable of carrying a singular craft, though this is often a Reconnaissance or Shuttle that assists in standard patrol and inspection operations. Following basic Hapan design aesthetics that focus on beauty has also resulted in a similar drawback seen in many Hapan ships, being the ease of access and vulnerability to the Drive Systems; with damage to these systems having the potential of crippling the vessel. The GADF Nebula-class is intended to provide a Corvette that is as capable of handling the Capital Ships deployed by criminal elements as it is providing support for larger Fleet Formations during an engagement. Though it lacks in hangar capacity and its speed and maneuverability are average at best, it makes up for these drawbacks in the quality and quantity of its armaments and defensive capabilities with a focus on disabling a vessel rather than destroying it due to an increase in Ion-based weaponry. The GADF Nebula-class is more than capable of filling in the gaps of any Fleet and providing the Galactic Alliance with an additional patrol vessel to secure its internal lanes of travel.
