STRENGTHS
  • Astromech Slot - The GADF Miy'til retains many of the design aspects of its predecessors including a port capable of slotting in an astromech. The astromech droid is often employed to assist with in-flight operations, basic navigation, and minor repairs as needed.
  • Elegant - With sweeping lines and sharp angles it is clear that the GADF variant was designed around speed and maneuverability. This focus on speed and maneuverability results in a Starfighter that is often on par with an Interceptor craft.
WEAKNESSES
  • Light Armaments - Much like its predecessors, the GADF Miy'til retains a limited armament that pales in comparison to other Starfighters of a similar size and classification.
  • Sublight Drive Systems - Due to maintaining the original design aspects and aesthetics of the first generation Miy'til Starfighters, the GADF variant retains the drawback of an easily accessible and targeted Drive System. Their exposed location and easy of access can result in the systems being damaged, crippling the Starfighter.
DESCRIPTION
The Miy'til Starfighter is a unique starfighter that is as synonymous to the Hapes Consortium as the Stromtrooper is with the Empire (or their many variations), and is known to serve as the primary superiority starfighter for the Hapan Royal Navy. In the period following the original opening of the Hapes Consortium to the larger galaxy, the Miy'til Starfighter remained a mainstay within the Hapan Royal Navy, and with the relationship between the Galactic Alliance and the Hapes Cluster once more on the rise, it is only natural that these starfighters would begin to see a resurgence in service. The GADF Miy'til is a variant of its older predecessor though retains many of the original design aspects and aesthetics of those original starfighters and maintains its classification as a Superiority Starfighter. The main design aspect that was retained can easily be seen via a slot located behind the cockpit which can be utilized to employ an astromech droid to assist with in-flight operations, basic navigations, and minor repairs during the course of a flight or engagement.

Due to keeping with this design aspect, the Sublight Drive Systems of the GADF Miy'til are unfortunately easily accessible and targeted. This exposed location can result in the primary drive systems being damaged, crippling the Starfighter. The primary difference between the original Miy'til - which remains in service in some areas - and the GADF Variant is that the newer model was design with a focus on speed and maneuverability. This focus on these aspects has resulted in a starfighter that is often on par with a fighter classified as an Interceptor, however, to achieve this, the GADF variant still maintains lighter armaments to prevent the Starfighter from being sluggish.

As a new conflict dawns and the Hapans step forward to assist the Galactic Alliance, it is only natural that more of these Starfighters have been spotted patrolling along the space lanes and hyperspace lanes of the Galactic Alliance alongside larger Hapan Capital Ships. The GADF Miy'til provides the Galactic Alliance Defense Forces with a new Superiority Starfighter to bolster their already formidable flights of Starfighters and Bombers.
