STRENGTHS
  • Increased Armaments - Though fitted with a similar out load to its Hapan predecessors, the GADF variant is known to be outfitted with heavier armaments and ordnance than its predecessors.
  • Heavy Starfighter - Focused on the Hapan principles of agility and beauty the Miy'til Bomber blends an impressive mix of speed and maneuverability that often places it on par with a Heavy Starfighter when compared to Bombers of a similar size and design.
  • Repair System - Each GADF Miy'til Assault Bomber is also equipped with a specialized repair unit. The R-PB6 System can be utilized to deploy a probe droid that is capable of repairing the hull of the Bomber or repairing the hulls of nearby vessels.
WEAKNESSES
  • Reduced Numbers - The size of the GADF Miy'til precludes it from being deployed in larger formations resulting in a smaller squadron size.
  • Limited Firing Arcs - All primary weapon systems of the Bomber are focused in the forward firing arc, preventing the craft from firing into neighboring arcs without reorienting the craft in that direction.
  • Sublight Drive Systems - As seen in many of the Hapan designs and their GADF variants following those designs, the Drive Systems of the GADF Miy'til Bomber are easily accessible due to their location. This results in a system that can be easily damaged, crippling the vessel.
DESCRIPTION
From the depths of the Transitory Mists that shroud the Hapes Cluster comes another unique and rarely seen craft deployed by the Hapan Royal Navy. The Miy'til Assault Bomber was a rarely utilized and deployed craft whose capabilities were still largely unknown and misunderstood by the Galaxy at large even years after first contact with the Hapes Consortium. Now, with the Galactic Alliance and Hapes Consortium having formalized talks and opened a new relationship, this craft has begun to see deployment alongside other Hapan vessels within the Galactic Alliance Defense Force. The GADF variant of the Miy'til Bomber retained many of the original Hapan designs that focused on beauty and agility, resulting in an Assualt Bomber that blended an impressive mix of Sublight speed and maneuverability. The capabilities of the GADF variant are known to place it on par with a Heavy Starfighter as it appears to outclass Bombers of a similar size and design.

The large difference between the GADF variant and its predecessor is the installation of heavier armaments and ordnance than what is generally carried on the Hapan Bomber. However, the addition of these heavier weapons required that the design of the vessel accommodate this upgrade, resulting in a larger craft, which has resulted in smaller squadron sizes for the GADF Miy'til Assault Bomber. Maintaining the design aspects of the original Hapan design has also resulted in the drawbacks of those designs being carried over to the GADF variant, specifically those seen with the location of the primary Drive Systems. The location of these systems is easily accessible and as a result, they can be damaged, often resulting in the craft being crippled from continuing operations.

Overall, even with the known drawbacks, the capabilities of the GADF Miy'til Assault Bomber ensure that it will provide additional strike capabilities needed by the Galactic Alliance in the conflicts to come. The GADF variant provides a heavier punch than its Hapan predecessor and its speed and maneuverability ensure that it can outrun an enemy just as much as it can outlast an enemy in an engagement.
