- Emergency!: Build into the jacket is a variety of rescue features, such as a personal Enviro-filter, several injectors including Bacta injectors, flashlights, screwdrivers, surgical scissors, rope, and heavy duty carabiners.
- Internal cooling: Designed for people who willingly run into a burning buildings, the Hazard-Wear jacket is designed with a revolutionary internal cooling system that keeps the person wearing it at a chill even at temperatures that would cook a normal person, miniaturized to fit within the jacket.
- Fireproof: The jackets were designed to withstand heavy duty plasma fires, and does that job incredibly well. The heavy duty jacket acts as a first line of defense against the burning part of a burning building, meant to be worn usually over heavy work gear, also allowing the jacket to shrug off blaster fire.
- Built Tonka Tough: Designed with the rigorous work of a service corp member in mind, the Hazard Wear was built to withstand quite the wear and tear, able to withstand high level blaster fire, while also being able to be pretty hard to tear through.
- Plasma-Proof: While Cortosis Weave was originally built into the jacket as yet another layer of protection against the blazing flames of the line of duty, it also doubles as a protection against lightsabers. Why a sith is trying to kill a firefighter, I have no idea. They'd have to be pretty evil to do something like that though...
- Why would you stab the medic?!: Simply put, the Hazard Wear wasn't designed to deal with traditional melee weapons or slugs. If you're shooting the firefighter, you might make quite a few enemies in the process though.
- Not Real Armor: While the Hazard Wear could protect you from blaster fire and lightsabers, if you're using it as long term armor, you're probably better off with other options.
