Faction [GA Senate] State of the Alliance

Kaela rose again, her voice steady but direct.

"I appreciate the Chancellor's words, and I do not dispute the need for caution. I share that instinct. But I also believe that caution and initiative are not mutually exclusive."

She looked toward the Sacorrian pod.

"Senator Stalwart offered something that I believe is worth acknowledging. He did not merely express support. He volunteered himself to serve as an envoy. That kind of offer is not made lightly, and it speaks to the kind of commitment this Senate has been asking for."

Kaela shifted her stance slightly, her tone not pressing, but resolute.

"If we are to take the Chancellor's suggestion seriously, to observe and engage carefully without overstretching ourselves, then perhaps Senator Stalwart is already the answer we are looking for. He has experience, the will to act, and a personal stake in ensuring we do not repeat past mistakes."

She paused, allowing her words to settle before she continued.

"This does not mean rushing into partnership or pretending the past has not left scars. It means being willing to test the waters when an opportunity is offered. It means not waiting for perfect clarity before we take even the smallest step."

Kaela inclined her head. "I support Senator Stalwart's offer and recommend that we consider formalizing his role as our first observer under the Sundari Accords. Let us not waste what initiative has already been offered." With that, she was ready to move on to the next subject of this meeting.

The Sith Order and their imminent attack on Endor.

"Well said, Senator Verrin", Tiber said, appreciated the Senator of Anaxes succinct statements. The nature of the Sundari Accords was what it was, and he wasn't going to debate them any further.

"If I may pivot", the Nehali Senator began, "I believe the Sith advance on Endor was part of the discussion. If possible, I would appreciate any representative of the GADF and the SIA brief us- that is, to tell us what's the situation on the ground, the strategic imperative of taking Endor, forces that you believe the Sith have amassed towards taking the planet, and any other insights you believe would be good for this body to be apprised of."

Tiber turned to Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble .

"Master Jedi, could you also give us your take on the situation, as well as this Blackwall? Has the Order received any insights on breaking it?"

"I support Senator Stalwart's offer and recommend that we consider formalizing his role as our first observer under the Sundari Accords. Let us not waste what initiative has already been offered."

The Chancellor nodded simply at Kaela. "Noted, Senator." Alicio sent a subtle message to one of his aides, prompting the man to begin drafting the official request for Senator Stalwart. He had certainly planned to do so regardless, appointing a representative was a decision he could make alone, but he appreciated having more consensus among the Senate.

On the topic of Endor... Alicio figured he should give them all some context. "As we transition to our next point of discussion, I wish to bring our attention to a few items."

"You have each recieved a report on your terminals. You'll notice it is... distressingly short."
He frowned. "As we learn more, we will call a meeting to engage in more specific discussion with the Defense Force and Committee, but for now, this is what we know."

"Alliance Intelligence was able to intercept fragmented transmissions from beyond the Blackwall. This prompted an investigation of the Sith Order's fleet movements, and our analysts believe all signs point towards the forest moon of Endor."
A moment at his terminal, and a massive projection of the planet lit up the center of the room. It was an unassuming body, covered in coniferous forest, lush with life. "This is... significant, as we believe it signals a change in our Enemy's doctrine since instating the Blackwall. Endor would be a valuable first target in a prolonged campaign against the Alliance. It's a supply point for many worlds in the galactic south, and it's loss would leave them vulnerable."

"It doesn't take a genius."

"The GADF is already mobilized, and I have already paused the Pathfinding Initiative to allow them their full faculties. We have to decide here how much further we need to go."
Such as Senator Parthi's movement to close their borders completely.

"Master Jedi, could you also give us your on the situation, as well as this Blackwall? Has the Order received any insights on breaking it?"

Alicio let his eyes drift to Master Noble and his Padawan, a question in his eye. He was curious, too.

Senator Velyra Vonn of Zeltros

She rose with the same calm that followed a storm—poised, unfazed, and perhaps already a step ahead.

“I was saddened to hear Endor was in the sights of our enemies. A moon so quiet, so green, so terribly taken for granted. It is a historic site that must be preserved, and protected. Not just for our borders, but for its denizens and nature.”

Her voice was low, warm. Never rushed.

A place that reminded them what peace can feel like after conflict, if only for a moment.

“And so, upon reading the defense briefing, I made a request; not to this body, but to the people. The Zeltros philanthropic committee hosted a series of fundraisers, galas, auctions to do what we can to preserve the natural beauty of Endor should conflict ignite.

She gestured, and a holoprojection shimmered into view—sleek, radiant, resolute in orbit.

“I am pleased to report that construction of the EOS-1 Aegis of Endor is complete. Not a weapon for conquest, A shield to hold the line, and protect the the moon itself as well as the alliance.”

Her gaze moved across the room, carrying just enough pride to be honest.

She had merely placed the stars where others would look up and find them already shining.

“This is not a solution, but it is a start. And all things, darling Senators, must start somewhere.”

Her pod returned, neatly within the time allotted for the announcement, not a second too late or too soon.

.

When he was recognized, Thexann quietly pulled forward.

Chancellor. Senators. I will not waste your time with flourish — we have enough of that already. Heh, mostly from me. [/COLOR] He laughed himself and let anyone else who wanted to do so.

We’ve heard much about trust, caution, history — and the Mandalorians. Here is the truth as I see it:

The Mandalorians are not our friends. They are not yet our enemies. They are a question mark with a history of answering that question at gunpoint. These Accords do not change that — they give us eyes on the ground, ears in the room, and nothing more. That is their worth. No illusions, no promises.

If Senator Stalwart wants to stand in that doorway as our observer, then let him. Better we see for ourselves than guess at the next raid or power shift. But let us not mistake a scout for a handshake. And let us not pay for it with coin or concessions until we see real proof from Verd and his people.

Senator Parthi is right about one thing: a Mand’alor’s word is not law to every would-be Crusader. But sealing our borders so tight we blind our own patrols is not security — it’s wishful thinking. Watch the borders. Reinforce them. But keep lanes open enough to see threats coming before they reach our walls.

Chancellor Organa — you have my respect for not rushing this. Use the Accords as they are: a watchtower, not a welcome mat.

Senator Verrin, I hear your call for initiative. Initiative is a soldier’s bread and butter. But I say this: initiative without discipline is just reckless hope. If we step forward, we do so with our eyes wide open, not our hands wide open.

Now, Endor.

Senator Septimus is right — the Sith are the threat that must hold our full attention. Endor falling does not mean one lost moon — it means open lanes into our supply corridors and worlds soft enough for the Sith to chew through while we argue here.

Senator Velrya has done more in a day than some do in a decade. A shield in orbit — real protection. That is what our people expect when they hear the word ‘Alliance’. I commend it.

So this is where I stand:

— Let Stalwart observe. Watch Verd’s empire for cracks or promises kept.
— Hold our borders firm, but smart. Eyes open beats doors shut.
— Every spare resource beyond that goes to Endor, the Blackwall, and the Sith who would see us buried.

I am no diplomat. I am no statesman. I am a soldier. And when the time comes to trade words for steel, let us be sure our troops are ready to finish what our words begin.

Thank you.

Thexann then stepped back as his pod pulled out of position— no further argument, no flourish, just the plain weight of a man who’s been where the decisions land hardest.

Damian pressed his left eye into his hand, an attempt to push down the tiredness for another hour or so. The situation with the shift and the increased demand of support on the Sith front had caused Damian to miss many nights of sleep. Though he could at least look at the reports being filed and calculated into the next budget meeting with a semblance of pride. Despite what some warrior cultures would attest, logistics and a functioning economy wins wars over pure will power alone.

Unless you’re a Force User I guess.

The Jedi Order had always stood firm as they do for the Light and as long as the Alliance continues to be the biggest supporter, Damian felt confident in their abilities to keep the worst at bay. Of course ‘worst’ was the opportune word as Damian quickly read through the Endor situation. While the young du Couteau heir would be uncomfortable to call the Alliance reeling from the Sith’s continuous assaults, there was a doubt that crept in that made the situation appear rather bleak.

“Never do we ask ‘What will it cost?’ Only a simple ‘Add it to the budget’.” Damian muttered to himself as he grew curious at receiving more up to date information.

Not that it would help Damian for the next budgetary meeting to finish the briefs for all the incoming reports, but it would at least ease his mind. Good news or bad, the feeling of certainty held a calming effect on him. Even if it were a certainty of defeat. Then my next thought would simply be; What’s the next step afterwards?

“If I may,” Damian spoke up, “-The Alliance can leverage a substantial effort from the vastness that is our economy and industry. The great shift might have caused delays in many of our sectors of productivity, but only time is required to see a full recovery.” He explained quickly.

“Your Grace, my Chancellor; the decision of how far we must go, well as long the Caf does not run out in the Ministry of Commerce office, whatever the distance the Alliance can manage. We lack for nothing, the only requirement is sound judgement and proper strategy.”

What’s another defense budget increase when hundreds of billions of lives are at stake? I wouldn’t even blink at another few billion credits.

"The delegation from Cato Neimoidia rejects the Sundari Accords. To make our official stance clear."

The tide of the Senate was not exactly going in the Trade Federation's favor as the issue concerning the Mandalorian Empire was discussed extensively. Monaray looked down at the terminal before him, which was accurately recording the Senators' remarks and their general positions on the subject.

Most Senators expressed support for the Sundari Accords, albeit with caution due to the Mandalorians' violent tendencies and unpredictability. Senator Lander Stalwart Lander Stalwart presented himself as a possible volunteer, or rather a hostage, to oversee the Mandalorians and ensure they maintained a reasonable stance towards the Galactic Alliance.

He emphasized that the government should prioritize defeating the Sith rather than creating potential adversaries where friendships could exist. A foolish notion to the Neimoidian as Senator Thexann Pehnataur Thexann Pehnataur spoke about guarded cooperation and strategic foresight over reactionary policy.

Chancellor Alicio Organa Alicio Organa was, at the very least, an advocate for prudent diplomacy, which is ironic considering that his spouse had murdered the Queen of the Hapes Consortium in cold blood and has yet to face any repercussions for her actions.

However, the Neimoidian chose not to address this matter during the session, as the discussion regarding the Mandalorian Empire had reached a satisfactory conclusion and the subject of Endor was introduced.

Senators Feridade Parthi Feridade Parthi , Kaela Verrin Kaela Verrin , Tiber Septimus Tiber Septimus Velyra Vonn Velyra Vonn and Damian du Couteau Damian du Couteau spoke up as well though he decided not to pay attention to them at the moment as he discussed with the Trade Federation envoys next to him.

They seemed to point him in the direction that Endor was a worthless planet to the Sith Empire, in terms of resources and it did not make strategic sense to waste manpower on a planet with no returns.

"Are we really certain that Endor is the target after all?" Monaray questioned with skepticism as his pod moved forward once more.

"If one looks at its base resources and production they will find it is utterly worthless for the Sith Empire to even consider invading, none withstanding its use as a supply hub which can easily be taken apart and moved to a more suitable planet and trade between those systems can be handed to nearby corporations. There are dozens of worlds located on the frontier of Alliance Space with much more strategic value than the Moon of Endor, such as as Maya Kovel and Moorja."

The Neimoidian explained, finding it odd that the resource-pressed Sith would invade a world with no exportable resource to capitalize upon. It was certainly not within the aims of the Sith-Imperial Banking Clan.

Master Noble, knowing his Padawan's personal experiences had a gap from about the beginning of the Clone Wars and to only a few years ago, filled in some of the more recent history involving the Mandalorians. Tigris had encountered none herself, either from her time as a Seyugi, or since her revival in the current time. Her knowledge overall had been cursory, until the rise of the Mandalorian Empire under this Verd.

She nodded, noting her gratitude for the background information. The debate continued with remarkable decorum, each statement, each concession and strong recommendation inching the Senate closer to some sort of action. The one most immediate was the appointment of an observer permitted by the Accords. While grateful for the opportunity to see out the Alliance was governed, the Atrisian would argue she would not have the patience or gift of the tongue to sit in the seats of the politicians.

However, the stance of the New Jedi Order, as Kahlil explained it, was very much in line with what Tigris' understanding of Jedi doctrine dictated. The Jedi didn't have to bear the political responsibilities of the senators and chancellor, who answered to constituents. And, as the debate continued, the role of the Jedi, of Khalil, in the chamber was realized. Chancellor Organa turned to the Shield of the Jedi for counsel.

Tigris too looked up to the tall jedi representative, and her master, to see how he handled diplomacy.
