  • General Purpose - Most every civilian can readily use this item with about twenty seconds of training and practice.
  • "Easy to Make" - The production of this mask for civilian use is relatively easy. The parts are very common to manufacturing, simply but together in a self-contained package.

  • General Purpose - This is a very general item. It does not specialize in scrubbing radiation from the atmosphere, or completely removing toxins from the air. It does a fine job of getting most contaminants out of the air, but it won't stop everything for long.
  • Short Time - Roughly about two hours of fresh air if you have the stock system. Four hours if you have an additional oxygen slaved to the system.
  • The Settings Have to be Manually Adjusted - One thing that is a downside, is that oxygen feedrate, carbon dioxide regulation, and scrubber settings do have to be adjusted per person. Some people are heavy breathers, some are not. Each person is a different, and the mask may not be absolutely perfect if put on in an emergency situation from a mass collection.

The mask was a stopgap measure after the incident involving refugees being spaced and several sphere's losing atmospheric pressure. It is a general mask, allowing the coverage of the eyes and mouth with a clear plastex visor housed inside a duroplastic frame with a rubber hermetic seal for around the face. People with facial hair of great quantity might be find the product ineffectual as the seal cannot properly work.

The mask is tied to the scrubber/oxygen pack via two rubber hosing tubes. The blue hose is for fresh/recycled air via the t-union connecting it between the scrubber recycle system, and oxygen regulator. The black hose is for recycling/scrubbing the expelled gas of an individuals breathing.
