Future Member Complaints & How Staff Handles Them

The SWRP Staff Team has been instructed to no longer accept complaints over Skype. I understand a lot of us spend time on Skype and most of the time, problems can get resolved there faster. However, it's much more difficult to gather all the facts and develop an impartial decision when it comes to instant messaging.

Therefore, I ask all of you to please keep all of your complaints on the board.

The Report Button grabs our attention very quickly, as every time someone is Reported, it blinks up in the top right for us on the forum saying "1 ACTIVE REPORT". We have, in the past, resolved these reports fairly quickly. I urge you all to use this function if you have an issue! You will be heard. These reports don't just find their way into a trash can, we do actually respond to them.

And here's the process of how we will begin responding to on-board Privately Messaged Complaints/Reports.

If you contact an Administrator, we will assign you a Roleplay Judge. If you contact a Roleplay Judge, he/she will handle it, but the member being complained against has a chance to appeal. If a member disagrees with a Roleplay Judge's judgement, you have one chance at an appeal, in which case you will contact an Administrator expressing your intent to appeal the judgement. The Administrator will then assign you a Roleplay Judge to review the investigation, the decision, and then pass his own judgement. If you appeal, the Administrator picks the Roleplay Judge, the Roleplay Judges do not get to choose, nor does the member.

All Roleplay Judges are to keep the investigation & complaint PRIVATE between the Roleplay Judge and the member who filed the complaint until the investigation warrants the attention of the person being complained against. The Roleplay Judge will then inform him/her that he/she has been complained against by such-and-such member.

Once the investigation has completed, the Roleplay Judge will inform the member of his or her decision. If no appeal is filed by the member receiving the complaint, then the judgement passes and everyone continues on about their day. But as stated before, the member receiving the complaint has the chance to appeal, and the process will be reviewed once more by a Role-play Judge chosen by an Administrator.
