Xitli has a irrational fear of 'wild animals'. He locked down, and put an entire section of the Chico (his command) in quarantine. His reasoning was that a member of his crew bought a pet death monster while on shore leave and brought it onboard.
In reality, the creature is the crystal fox (One seen in TLJ) that one of his crew bought because;
A) They wanted to know how the fox survived a crystalline infection.
B) It looked cute and was very friendly.
He still regularly hears strange noises, and reports that any drones he sent afterwards lost connection.
In reality, the sounds are laughter and amused Satorian's who enjoy playing with their new friend. The Droid accidentally became a chew toy.

Quauhatli is a kleptomaniac, people who work with him are well aware of his obsession with books and their contents.

Pyeth hates beds, or to be more precise he hates the common beds loved by many of the galactic sentients. He regularly sleeps high places, and failing that will sleep on the floor.
The beds aren't comfortable, they're to small and rarely account for wings and tails. Unless the bed is round or sufficiently large with no headboards... It's not for him.
The height thing is more instinctual. Being higher means he is in a position of Strength if a predator attacks, and gives him better line of sight.
