SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Both armoured and protected: The Frittata Transport has very heavy armour and can withstand a fair amount of punishment before there is even a risk of anyone or anything inside gets hurt.
  • Silent: The engine mounted disruption bubble generator ensures that it can travel relatively silently. Naturally, noise will still be made from the wheels rolling on the ground and if it bumps into shrubbery, but it will be much less noticeable than if the engine could be heard. It's small size enhanced this attribute as it made it harder for sensors to pick it up.
  • Strong support capacities: With a plethora of sensors, a sensor scrambler, a distortion field emitter, a thermal distortion field generator and importantly the Breshig War Forge Consolidated 'Haaranovor' Soft-kill Active Protection System, the Frittata Transport can be an invaluable asset for nearby troops. It can provide them with information, protection of both itself and those in its vicinity and make it harder to target friendly troops nearby. Several of its optional modifications can also provide additional support to nearby troops - a ray shield can be deployed to protect them with one modification, with another, they can get better medical treatment inside the well protected vehicle. Note that the shield generator need two Frittata Transports working together in order to work.
  • Adaptable: The high degree of modularity which the Frittata offers means that it can be modified according to the need of a certain battle and that the vehicle can fill the support function it was designed for in numerous different ways.
  • All-terrain: This vehicle is more maneuverable than the average troop transport of the same kind which means that it can traverse a wide range of rough terrain easier than average.
WEAKNESSES
  • Poor offensive capacities: The transport only has a top-mounted blaster rifle that can be controlled from inside the vehicle. This means that, if it is attacked and lacks any defenders, it has extremely limited options as blaster rifles are only effective against certain foes.
  • Support capacities with a limited radius: While it has powerful support capabilities for nearby troops, many of these capacities require the troops to stay within a few metres from the transport - something which can be hard in a combat situation. This is particularly true for the vehicles equipped with the deflector shield generators as the ray shield bubble is only a little larger in diameter than two Frittata Transports standing in a row.
  • Wheels: Without tracks or repulsor engines, this transport runs the risk of being trapped in awkward spots and can have a hard time getting out without a skilled driver or a team who can work together to dig it out if that is even possible in the first place.
  • EMP/ion: The heavy armour and combat de-ionisers do offer certain protection against attacks aimed at disabling the electronic systems of the vehicle. Should an EMP or ion attack prove to be effective, however, many essential systems can be shut off and require a restart.
  • Small: Compared to other troop transports, this one is relatively small and unlike them, it cannot house hundreds of troops. Yet it still requires an engine (albeit not as powerful) and a pilot and armoured walls. Needless to say, it is less resource efficient per person carried.
DESCRIPTION
A group of Concord engineers and Mathieu Brion worked together to develop a troop transport for the Silver Jedi Concord. The development did not go quite as expected as the vehicle became increasingly niched towards supporting the troops that it transported. It reached the point where it could even act as something of a scrambler that could protect nearby troops and items - hence the name 'Frittata Transport' (also, Mathieu was hungry).

The heavily armoured vehicle was good at protecting those inside it as it could withstand heavy firepower and bombardment. Naturally, it was not invulnerable, but it would not be destroyed in the first place either. Many threats which could harm it would instead be neutralised with the help of the Breshig War Forge Consolidated 'Haaranovor' Soft-kill Active Protection System which they acquired from Breshig War Forge Consolidated.

Not only was the transports themselves well protected, but troops near them were well protected too and would be considerably safer in its vicinity. This allowed the Concord forces a generally increased staying power after disembarking from the transport, increasing their likelihood of survival both on their way to the field of battle as well as during their stay. Often times, the vehicle would stop near cover behind which the troops it carried could take cover, but it could also act as cover itself with little risk of being destroyed thanks to its tough armour.

The Frittata was also well suited for hit-and-run operations behind enemy lines. With it's small size and high maneuverability along with how silent it was, the vehicle could get around and appear at very unexpected places where it could deploy troop strike teams. Disappearing right after was not that much harder than appearing was. Still, it could encounter challenges since the wheels prevented it from traversing certain terrain if it was particularly rough.

Speed was not the strong suit of the Frittata Transport and its armament left much to be desired. If put in a fight or flight position, it was not particularly strong at either on its own. Without troops to save the day, flight would often be preferable as its speed matched that of the average transport. If allies were nearby to back it up, however, the vehicles support function could work to turn the tide of battle.

Often, these transports would be deployed in large numbers and were capable of producing long lines or large areas where their protective functions could work as a wall. But even under these circumstances, it was not uncommon for a few of the transports to split off and wreak havoc behind enemy lines.
