Verz was at the front of the group, and for once, he was glad he was on this Force-forsaken world. He saw the settlement, and it looked like some stranded pirates were still here. He spotted a damaged ship, most likely from the bombardment. He brought his rifle up to aim. Remembering Mia's order, he shot a pirate sentry in the hand, causing him to drop his gun with scream of pain.

The scream of the sentry drew the attention of the remaining group of pirates. A quick head count placed her squad in the 'outnumbered' category but she was not worried. This would be a small battle, but it was better than the slaughter of animal unable to defend themselves.

Picking a spot of cover she threw a flash bang grenade high into the air so it landed in the midst of the group, disorientating them. Taking advantage of the moment she rose from her cover and fired three shots. The first took a pirate in the knee, dropping him instantly. The second caught the forearm of another reaching for a rifle and her final ricocheted off their ship and caught a third in the spine. So it wasn't exactly a disarming shot, but as far as she was concerned, so long as they kept the majority alive they might get something worthwhile out of them.

Jorn turend to see the settelment. Verz fired his rifle at one of the sentries. He then got behind cover. of a ruined building. he aimed his rifle and fired at a man hittin him square in the chest. Jorn threw his own flash grenade right after Mia's flash bang grenade went off. he heard the explosion and turend back out to shoot another bandit in the arm. the man yelled in pain. He didnt want to kill any more than was nessasary. They needed some captured to get information from them. Jorn fired again into the mass of people and heard a scream from a man again. He shook his head and fired some more.

Verz decided that it wasn't enough to be sniping his foes. He wanted to be in the middle of it. It was, after all, his first major combat, and he was till relatively inexperienced tactically. He rushed the settlement firing shots and yelling insults.
