Fly Me To The Moon

The planet's history was a long one. Once, Carida had been the backbone of Imperial military. Officers, agents--countless trained in their art there, became experts, even masters in their art there. Now, the world was officially independent, but no less proud. Great people had been made on Carida, and they strove towards further greatness. So they looked forward.

They looked to the Sith.

Representatives of the Sith Empire had been formally invited to Carida for introductions. The planet was not the most powerful in the galaxy, but its rulers were pragmatists and they were out to make an ally. They could meet with the Empire, make friends, make an agreement.

The official rulers of Carida weren't the only ones with a hand in the planet's workings. They weren't the only ones with a pragmatic streak. And they weren't the only ones waiting on the Sith Empire with the intention of recruiting new friends.

But who can say what goes on in the shadows?
__________

The Sith delegates had been given full clearance to a landing bay on the surface of Carida. A group of officers would be there to greet them, ready to lead them to the summit - the building was a short distance away and towered, waiting.

Although Darth Avacyn would never shy away from war to further the goals of the Sith Empire, she had always preferred the diplomatic route. The ends justified the means everytime, but when a less hostile option presented itself she simply saw no reason to not take it. Today her armor would not seeing the fields of battle, but instead was worn to denote she was a delegate of the Empire during their visit to Carida.

The woman's personal ship was among the first of the representatives to land, her crimson-colored hair and scar decorating her left eye making for a striking appearance as the boarding ramp lowered with a hiss. Much like most other formal events the Sith Lady had chosen to not have anyone with her, finding it to be unnecessary. The sound of metal being hit sounded with every step taken, her booted feet bringing her to the group of officers that awaiter her. A curt nod was sent their way and without delay they began to lead her to where the summit would be held. She followed close behind, letting her eyes drift off to the side here and there to take in her surroundings.

It was only a short walk and once Avacyn had made her way into the building, her first order of business was to personally introduce herself to the ones who had invited the Sith Empire here while awaiting the other Imperial representatives. She had found that doing so often improved the effectiveness of more official interactions, even if it was only slightly at times. It also provided the woman with a way to pass the time until the summit would truly begin, providing a welcome distraction.
