Float like a butterfly (Part one)

[Vulpesen]

Vulpesen nodded and focused the energy into himself, leaping up then plummeting down. It was a strange feeling has he had always relied on cleverness instead of power, but he did his best. Slamming his fist into the ground below, the shadow released his energy, causing a shift of pebbles on the ground, It was a start, and he was confident that with a few tries he would manage to create something like that of @[member="Saki"]. Resuming his practice, Vulpesen continued repeating the exercise, making small change to slowly improve himself.

 

[Leori Sheltrak]

Leori was watching the sparring session very closely, looking for possibilities and openings that could be taken advantage of. It was an interesting match, that was for certain. The demonstration of the shock waves made her smile. She had always liked those, and sometimes using the Force to propel her further, essentially flying.

Saki couldn't fly, her telekinetic abilities were laughable aside from this and using it in fights. She was a massive offensive fighter and now was looking at Vulps doing what he was doing for it. Her hands coming up and demonstrating again for the others to join in before she jumped a little higher and came down with a fissure forming while she looked up. "Keep at it, we'll work until you can make a fissure."

 

[Vulpesen]

Vulpesen growled as he once again created only a small shake. "You will break." His eyes deadlocked the ground and the shadow took a deep breath before leaping high into the air, giving him time to refocus. As he fell towards the ground, Vulpesen moved the force through his body, diverting its course to his fist. For him, the power was a like a river which flowed through all things and the use of the force was simply diverting that river's flow. As he finally hit the ground, Vulpesen brought down his fist, aiming to unleash all which had accumulated within it. "Break!" He could feel the release as the force left the limb, moving from body to ground with the force to create a sizable crack.

Rising to his feet, Vulpesen stretched and looked at his red knuckles. "Needs a little work, but that's the reason we're here ain't it." Leaping again, Vulpesen repeated the exercise, becoming more precise as he figured out what he was doing. Each time he did it, the crack grew larger and larger, showing the signs of his improvement. @[member="Saki"]

Coci moved off more to allow room for the others to work. Her black eyes watching the Knight try to create the shock wave, the pupils enlarge and focused on the around under his punch. Her eyes, as black as the night see more then most they are unique and provide her with vision beyond the range of the average humanoid. She saw the small ripple in the ground under his fist and realised that this skill is going to take come effort to learn.

Knight Saki too have demonstrated using her fists, Coci did not wish to use her's as her hands are exceptionally important to her work. As an assassin .. the gentle touch of her hand on her rifle is imperative .. and she did not wish to run the risk of hardening them or injury.

She waited for a moment to speak. "Knight Saki, is that another way to form the shock wave without punching the ground with ones fists?", she asked.

Leori looked over to @[member="Coci Sinopi"] and nodded "You could use your feet if you can get enough Force behind it." She stood up to demonstrate. First, she used the Force to propel her jump further into the air, then reversed the effect, essentially helping gravity. She bent her knees and pulled them together in preparation for impact with the ground. It had the desired effect. A small ripple.

"Of course height helps if you want more of an impact."

Saki looked at Leori display and then at Coci as she spoke and stood there. "You could with your feet but it is harder, not many focus on releasing the force through kicks and their feet. Still something you could do. Even use it with enough skill to kick off the ground and fly higher into the air but you'd have to work at it. Practice a few times tthe same general idea." She crossed her arms though and kicked the ground to get a small fissure with a smirk.

 

[Vulpesen]

Vulpesen watched the conversation for a few moments before forming the idea in his head. He learned the technique. Time to improve. Again he leaped up, gaining as much air as he could. Here we go! During his descent, Vulpesen executed a strong flip, using it to gain momentum as he came to the ground. As the momentum shifted in his body, Vulpesen urged the force to follow him, using it to slam his heel into the ground. "Break!" The ground shook and a crack appeared, much like his stronger hit like before. "Haha! Did it!" The jedi grinned proudly for several seconds, quite proud of himself. Then, his smile dimmed. His eyes widened, and his expression went from pride to pain. "Son of a kath hound!" His foot flipped up into his hands and he hopped aorund on his other leg, yowling in pain from the hard impact.

Saki looked at the boy Vulpsen and worked to suppress her laughter at that sight. He was quite funny right now and she moved closer to take a look at him. They had a healer thankfully who could help him but she was more interested in what he had found while she looked down and at it all giving a whistle. "Sexy." Saki crouched down and punched the ground for a moment to get a piece out while holding it up. "Looks like you Vulpsen hit the jackpot for us, some phrikite ore."

Leori smiled when Saki mentioned flying, with enough skill. She recalled learning to do that years ago. She didn't want to show off or anything, since she wasn't the one running the training session.

And she blinked when Vulpesen howled in pain after completing the task. Good thing she was there. And, they'd managed to find Phrik. Good day.

The Jedi Master moved over to Vulpesen and offered him a stable hand. "Come, sit." She slowly navigated him to a rock and offered support to get him in a seated position. "I can make the pain stop, but you need to sit still." Leori was watching him closely, for any indication that there was further damage.

She put her hands over his foot and closed her eyes for a moment. There didn't seem to be a ton of damage done, so she'd let his body do the work. But, she would give his cells a jump start so they would move quickly to heal the little damage and the pain would subside.

 

[Vulpesen]

Vulpesen listened to his masters and sat down, allowing @[member="Leori Sheltrak"] to help his heel. "Thanks." Looking over to the crack, Vulpesen sent Ace a grin. "Well boy, it looks like I'm a miner." This was perfect. Vulpesen had no real need for Phrik, except for his saber, but even that could wait. He was far more worried about Ace's safety and making a small set of phrik armor would make a very good start for him. Turning his attention away from his musings, he focused on the other jedi. "So what do we do? Pound it free? I didn't exactly come here with a mole miner ya know."

Saki looked at Culps and grinned to that. "Well we could just break and get as much ore as we want. You could have some nice stuff from it afterall. Might be able to make some nice armor for you or the dog." Saki kept a grin on her face though and knelt down a little as she exhaled checking her bracers and fists for scratches. "We'll continue though practice making some fissures and telekinesis we have a goal now get that ore so bad guys don't use it."

Leori nodded to him and moved away from him to give him some space. She narrowed her eyes. They didn't really have the equipment for mining. So his inquiry was a valid one. It would be tiresome to expend the energy required to accumulate it all, but there were several of them to help out.
