SPACE NEAR GENERATOR FACILITY
EN ROUTE TO VAULT

Anaya remained silent her mind a buzz of activity as the ship neared the Vault. Today was the beginning of a new era. Not only for the Empire, but for Anaya herself. She drew in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Everything she had done in the past weeks had been leading to this. Every piece of the puzzle led her to hear and now, but even when glory was at her finger tips. even as the chance to strike down the weakness in the Empire was to hand, she had to wait.

Timing was everything.

Even with Zaiden and Eldoc going for the plans she had nothing to be concerned about. She was the First Inquisitor, Champion of the Empress and a blade master. today, nothing would stand in her way. "I will also be joining you, your majesty." She said softly. She could feel Spencer reaching out linking with everyone. A sharp flash of anger and a short message would see @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] out of her head.

Today of all days, I do not need your help. Get out and stay out.

Thadd ran up behind the position of his colonel kerrigan's near a jutting rock out of the asteroid. His black silicon-blast armor glared with the different colors and lights that lit up the surrounding battle field. He held his medium X-9 blaster rifle tucked firmly against his shoulder. His madog steel alloy sword hung from his back in its leather sheath. "Colonel. Report!" The colonel barely heard him over her pounding weapons sound of bolt fire. Thadd swung up and around to see the target. Sith.....

Thadd squeezed his trigger as well into the target vector, blasted off several round of distracting blaster fire as well. "Come on colonel. We need to better our position and make some advancement."

Thadd swung around running to Kerrigan. His back nearly to hers as he checked the area with a sweeping glance on the scope of his rifle.

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
(I apologize, I made a mistake by spawning in the capital. I must have misread the rules)

Boom! a blast shook Jinn to the bone and he was thrown into the wall of this dark pit he now inhabbited. He hit the ground with a tremendous thud . Jinn had, had no problem dealing with the laser rounds from the light turrets, but when the heavy turrets came out to play, things got complicated. The pure amount of power the heavy turrets had was enough to blow Jinn back, even when he deflected the shots. The sith rolled onto his stomach, narrowly escaping a secind round that still managed to fling him into the air. Again the apprentice hit with a thud, his lightsaber lying 15 yards ftom him now. Jinn was angry now, he stood up and ignored the scorching pain in his arms and face from piece of red hot rock that shot into him after the last laser impact.

As the sith stood, a squad of Verpine took cover on the other end of the munitions facility and began raining blaster fire on Jinn's position. Jinn didn't even more to dodge the blasts, he just began walking straight for the insects, his eyes turned a menacing solid black from, not only his own anger and rage, but the anger, fear and emotions now weighing down the capital. "Fools, you are nothing compared to the sith!" jinn now spoke with a voice like he never had before, it was demonic and deep and it boomed like the voice of the God of war. Something had changed in Jinn....the feeding from so many terrified Verpine citizens at once had caused a sudden a temporary twist in the man's mind, one that over came his mind with a personality even more sick than his own. Another round launched from the heavy turret, its aim straight and true as it flew towards Jinn, or whatever force now controlled his body.

As if the powerful round was nothing, Jinn built up a massive force in his left hand and caught the blaster round in hand and displaced the energy to create a harmless shockwave and small puff of radiation. Next he threw his hand violently at the Verpine squad and caste a massive force pusg upon them. Only this push was powerful...very powerful. It was like a symbol of all jinn's hate in one attack...the invisible force becoming a massive ball of black energy barreling forward, tearing everything it touched into thousands of tiny particles. As it impacted the Verpine position, Jinn simply watched basking in the gore that was tossed high into the air with the dust and smoke. He then turned to the heavy turret, lifting his hand to it and unleashing a wave of menacing black lightening on the turret. The machine shook for a second before exploding into a million metallic chunks.

Jinn smiled under his mask, this was only the defenses they had outside the facility...there was a lot more bugs to kill inside. Jinn went to move inside, but a sudden weakness hit him and he fell to hus knees. A tremendous headach hit him like a brick and his eyes returned to normal, the black crawling to the sides of his eyes like mist. Jinn closed his eyes, regaining his strength...what had just happened to him? What just transpired was like a dream....he was in control the whole time but...but there was something else...something else was urging him on at the back of his mind...something darker than him...and he liked it. The sith Sat on his hands and knees for a few moments, simply regaining his strength from that sudden drain...and trying to rationalize what had just happened.

His crushing down on her heart seemed to have little to no effect. As usual, Mikhail's enemies seemed somehow to be powered by superhuman bodies. This made him rather grumpy. Phylis erected a shield with the Force to defend herself. Unfortunately for her she did not seem to realize how Mikhail's telekinetic powers operated. He did not reach with telekinesis like an arm and therefore her force shield would do little to avail her. However, she swiftly followed this up with another telekinetic blast, which hit Mikhail square in the chest. You see, Mikhail Shorn was merely flesh and blood and could actually take damage, which was most likely untrue of his surrounding foes seeing as how the galaxy loved to hate Mikhail.

As he flew backward, his battlemind awareness alerted him to the presence of a new combatant who somehow walked right through where Darth Apparatus stood in the doorway without so much as batting an eye and joined in the dogpile. Mikhail slammed into the ground and grunted at the wash of pain, despite his phrik armored body. He grunted a second time and used the Force to push himself up to a knee.

In the hands of the thunked a grenade launcher, which spat a multitude of the rounds at Mikhail. They hissed through the air toward Mikhail. The Sith snarled, rage billowing deep within him. He gathered that atramentous poweand raised a hand with splayed finger, lightning leaped from his hands and engulfed everything in the air between himself and Siobhan. HE rounds exploded, but Mikhail was too late. He was showered in a spray of hot shrapnel from the explosive ordnance, which pinged off his phrik armor like a hail storm and left a thousand new scratches upon his already battered armor. The newcomer would no doubt be ticked that Mikhail was wearing armor, as would be most of the others in the combat, but what did they expect Mikhail to do, not use every advantage he could find? The lightning ceased.

Mikhail got to his feet, ready for more telekinetic blasts and HE rounds. He returned to the Makashi ready stance, fully expecting that the Jedi would not play fair. The question was, who would make the first move?

Roche G99 - Space Surrounding Asteroid - @[member="Jonathan Walsh"] - @[member="Judah Dashiell"] - @[member="Turin Val Kur"]

Instead of being on her normal cruiser Sophia had opted for a XA-5 X-Wing and to be under her father's command which was going to be very interesting indeed. She knew he didn't want her out there but they needed as many guys there as they could get and being a rookie captain kind of made the choice clear. Sophia didn't mind really she liked being out here flying and in this thing she could see and avoid the asteroids better.

Sophia stayed in formation with the others in her father's squadron which she had joined temporarily as they zoomed in and out of the way of other fighters. She was supposedly in charge of them due to rank even though they already had a squadron leader who happened to know these guys a lot better than she. They would figure it out and work together.

It was odd for her to be back out here waiting for orders to shoot at something because normally she was telling people to do that plus she was itching to be shooting at some enemy fighter.

"No, @[member="Zaiden"], I'll need you here...I sense the Grandmaster seeks to stack the deck. @[member="Rytek'irk'intrano"], you have @[member="Skorn Draclau"] aboard. Please send him to the Vault."

The Empress's strike team entered a dropship and fell away from the frigate. Considering as the fast frigate had been one of the very first ships to begin moving towards the Vault, the dropship was well on its way by the time the Jedi began to arrive. As the jamming field took hold, the dropship began to move on pure momentum. She grabbed ahold of it with the Force to slow its descent. At least gravity was not a factor; the artificial gravity field was confined to the asteroid itself, and the planetoid's gravity was negligible until then.

Under her telekinetic control, the dropship containing her, Anaya, Zaiden and Eldoc settled through the cloud of small asteroids to land on the Vault asteroid. A secret data storage facility, loosely held by Sith-affiliated Verpine. Its secrecy had been breached by both sides. Its defenses included powerful firewalls, and jamming fields powerful enough to disable missiles and starships. It was located some distance from Nickel One, between the Generator Asteroid and the Fighter Production Asteroid. It was surrounded by a dense cloud of smaller asteroids, preventing capital ships from getting close.

They broke into the facility easily enough -- some telekinesis, some lightsabre work, careful manipulation of airlocks -- and found all manner of joy. Ashin pointed at the blue-green glow of a lightsabre, and many dead Verpine.

"Why the feth is that Jedi killing Verpine? If the Verpine here were on our side, we would already have the plans, and we wouldn't need to be here at all. I need you three to split up, I don't care how. Get the plans before that Jedi does, and get the jamming field generator. We'll need it turned off in order to escape, and it could be a very useful weapon out there.

"As for me...I'm going to meet the Grandmaster."

GENERATOR FACILITY

As it had been there for the entire duration of the fight, as the core of a defensive position including several Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer's, Velok's flagship Reviler and a fully deployed fighter complement continued to guard the generator research facility.

It was just, at this point, a waiting game. The Jedi would come soon, but for now, not a soul was in sight.

He took his U-Wing over to the Asteroid nicknamed "The Vault" and docked at a near Republic-Friendly Hanger bay. As he left his fighter Verpine came out to greet him.

"Reports say the Sith have already breached the asteroid from the other side." The verpine informed him in a way that was clicky, clearly insectoid.

"Stay back and protect the Hanger Bay. I'll have friends coming in soon and they'll need safe passage. I'm going in." Jaxton said and rushed into the facility, eager to find and escape with the Generator Plans before more casualties were made.

@[member="Phylis Alince"] @[member="Mikhail Shorn"], @[member="Darth Apparatus"], @[member="Darth Moridin"], apologies to anyone I missed in spawn Jedi and Sith district

As it happened Siobhan had more important things on her mind than getting ticked. After all, it would be all too easy and terribly unsatisfying if the battle ended so soon. She had unleashed her volley of explosive rounds upon the Sith just after the telekinetic strike from Phylis had sent him flying backwards. His lightning tore through the air, making HE rounds detonate prematurely, but he was struck by a storm of shrapnel. Thick clouds of smoke filled the area as the grenades detonated, some blowing in small holes in the ceiling and walls, leaving dents. Siobhan was living up to her reputation when it came to property destruction.

The shockwave released by the explosions was such that Siobhan was knocked back by the impact and fell down onto the ground on her back. Moreover, pieces of shrapnel released by the blasts flew into her direction as well, striking her in countless places. She winced at the pain when shrapnel cut into her cheek, burning painfully and drawing blood, but many of the shards were absorbed by her armour, leaving countless scratches upon it, since Siobhan as well had come prepared. Pain is just weakness leaving the body, she told herself, sinking deeper into the Force. However, she had the benefit of being further our of range, so while she felt some pain from being caused by bruises from being knocked onto the ground, it was negligible and she pulled herself up, gripping the boltgun, reloading fast.

As she moved sideways she waved her hand and sent a Verpine corpse flying towards Mikhail. She was not so foolish to expect it to hit him, for in the same motion she brought up her and fired. The grenades spat out of the bolter with a loud thunk but instead of shooting towards Mikhail she had aimed upward to the ceiling above him, aiming to let loose a rain of bricks down upon him.

Of course, that was just the plan!

The Sith seemed to make a move for the Jedi's heart, but was pushed back by the Jedi. The Sith shot lightning and prematurely detonated some explosive rounds. Shrapnel came flying at him, but he shielded his face with his arm, and the shrapnel came at him mostly harmlessly as it ripped through his clothes, but not his combat armor. Ardak had expected combat, and would not be caught unprepared. Ardak then spotted an Omega Pyre mercenary, seemingly one with the Force, throw one of the fallen Verpine guards at the Sith and then launch a grenade upwards. Seeing her strategy Ardak took out a Verpine Repeater he had purchased early and began laying fire around the Sith to the left and right of the where the body flew in incosistent intervals, making his fleeing by either of those paths requiring suffering some damage to that armor or deflecting his bolts while on the move.

G99 Tunnels
@[member="Monty Jusik"], @Delila Castillon, @[member="MSE-007"]

Dropships landed and deployed their forces, already evident in that soldiers of the 73rd like Monty Jusik were currently engaged with Imperial hostiles. Some of the Imperials had gotten onto the asteroid. Sev3n was among their number, but not one of them. The terentatek moved through the tunnels with lumbering strides, at ease within caverns for such were often terentateks homes. Within the cranium of the beast, Sev3n analyzed. Hostile mortals. Tunnel caverns. Proportion of melee weapon slightly too large for cavern confines. Claws and tusks optimal efficiency.

A bellow shook the caverns as the terentatek roared death and bounded into the mind shaft. Using the mace like a punting pole, pushing off the sides of the cavern to propel it forward. Behind the terentatek came a swarm of Imperial Stormtroopers as well as a few Zero G troopers, who were adept at fighting in weightless conditions. The hunter killer A.I.'s algorithms ran through a series of combat predictions and analyzations, working to optimize efficiency in the zero gravity environment. Once it entered the facility proper there would be gravity and the calculations would change.

Perhaps somewhere behind the terentatek came something smaller, wheels slick with the blood of the innocent.

Desolation had come to visit G99.

The terentatek pushed off from a wall of the mine, propelling its five thousand pounds straight toward a squad of republic troopers who floated in the air. The screamed in terror and opened fire, pelting Sev3n's ultrachrome plating with useless fire. A claw swung and scythed through the entire squad, cutting through space suits and bodies. Globules of blood rose into the air, coalescing into a mass of scarlet before the terentatek as it continued forward deeper into the mines.

G99 Asteroid Moving Towards Generator Facility
@[member="Ayden Cater"], @[member="Seth Shorn"]

"Sir, we have a friendly under fire from a nearby vessel. Orders?"

"Have the Moon Blade and Moon Shadow move to flank the enemy vessel and open fire on the enemy weapons emplacements. Support the friendly. Khonsu Squadron should move in support."

"Yes, sir."

No response from @[member="Jonathan Walsh"]. Maybe he was busy. Maybe they were being ignored, he didn't know. But he felt a familiar presence out there. It was spread all about near them, feeling out even to this enemy vessel nearby. The two IFAS vessels he'd dispatched would surely assist in taking that vessel down. But he was concerned because he knew the presence he was feeling.

Another presence had settled over his mind. He did not know it, but he welcomed it from @A'dele. It was comforting and he expressed his thanks for the meld through the meld, imploring the wielder to be strong. In the meantime, he looked at his crew.

"Push the remaining ships forward towards the Generator Facility. The Sith have too free of a run to the other asteroids. Let's harrass them."

"Yes, sir."

The AFAS and remaining two IFAS moved forward while the other two IFAS vessels had turned with shields up and moved towards the enemy vessel. They'd opened their weapons and begun firing from the hidden weapons emplacements, each weapon withdrawing to recharge or reload after firing. Khonso Squadron, the elite Echani fighter squadron in their C1 Foil-class Starfighters, moved to engage the enemy fighter contingent.

Kamon, as their ship moved forward, reached out towards that familiar presence. That of his daughter, @[member="Spencer Jacobs"], and he knew she would know it was him reaching to her.

Spencer... Why do you assist them in this? Their goal is murder of innocent beings. Do you support that?

@[member="Tyrin Ardik"], @[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"], @[member="Ardak Serifen"], @[member="Darth Apparatus"], @[member="Phylis Alince"], @[member="Jinn Sibot"]

Mikhail's expressionless helm swung toward the verpine hurtling toward him. A blast of the Force sent it careening off to one side. Shorn sneered in derision at the pathetic attack, but suddenly heard the explosion overhead. A shower of bricks rained down on him, pelting his phrik armor. The entire ceiling began to cave in. The Arkanian had grabbed a verpine weapon and opened fire, unfortunately for the humanoid verpine weapons weren't designed to penetrate heavy armor like phrik. Sparks flew and Mikhail stumbled back under the barrage of fire. Instead of moving out of the way, Mikhail began to assist the collapsing roof. Using telekinesis he ran his mind along the fractures in the ceiling of the building (not the garden dome's dome) and pulled downward, enlarging the fractures and causing the entire roof to cave in. Shorn was suddenly buried in a pile of rubble, but then so was everyone else.

Rubble drove him into the ground. Mikhail remained relatively unharmed due to his phrik armor, however he felt several bruises beginning to form. Hissing against the pain and feeling even more claustrophobic, Mikhail unleashed a blast of telekinetic energy that hurled rubble off of himself. He then sprinted away from the battle, legs carrying him at a dead run. His thighs screamed at him in protest. Running in armor is not easy, but Mikhail had spent over three years in the Republic Army. He had conditioning training and it all came in handy now.

As much as Mikhail loved being dog piled by Jedi, it was serving no purpose. He opened up his comm device to the Sith-aligned verpine.

"This is Shorn, is the package intact?"

The whirring clicks of a response came across. "Package intact, retreating into colony proper and falling back to one of the outer access hangar bays. Package retrieval will be on its way."

"Good, I don't think they're coming for you yet, so that's something at least. Don't screw up." Shorn clicked off the com as the rail car screamed downward and into the hive of the verpine. The colony contained hundreds of thousands of verpine. Some ran amok, but most stayed in doors waiting for the violence to be over. Some guards raised their shatterguns and opened fire on him, but Mikhail dispatched them with telekinetic attacks to their brains, sundering their brain stems and killing them instantly.

Striding through the colony, Mikhail headed for the munitions facility where he could feel another Sith already at work. He was soon joined by a platoon of Verpine Sith loyalists escorting the "package", which happened to be the Sith verpine representative. Many of them seemed to have great misgivings about the bloodshed of their hivemates, however there was also a determination evident in their auras. They had set a course and would stay it. Mikhail wondered if not a few of them were under some kind of mind control. It definitely seemed possible. Regardless, the platoon of verpine accompanied Shorn to the munitions facility.

The Sith already there seemed well at work dispatching the verpine resistance. With Shorn's added force the fight would be over in a matter of minutes. Mikhail obliterated a squad of verpines with lightning and sent another scattering like leaves with a blast of telekinesis. His violet blade hewed done any who approached within striking distance. Shatterguns zapped again and again, verpine made slug rounds smashed into Mikhail's phrik armor, but the armor held. Eventually they began to target the gaps in his armor, which was when Mikhail had to defend himself in earnest. Wielding the Force in a controlled fury, he snatched out a dozen verpine rounds from the air, stopping them in their tracks with telekinesis. Then he sent them back to their owners with vehemence. Verpine died.

Those two words: Verpine died. They summed up the entire engagement. All the power of the Force being tossed around, the shatterguns spewing their slugs, lightsabers scything through bug carapaces. It was a horrible slaughter, for the verpine guarding the munitions facility were not many in number, nor could they hope to stand against the onslaught of two Sith. When the last of the verpine resistance members lay dead, Mikhail turned to his platoon of loyalists.

"Secure the facility, I want the turret defense lasers up and running in case anyone tries to get us inside. What kind of weaponry do you have inside? Explosives?"

One of the bugs nodded.

"Good."

It seemed Mikhail Shorn had returned to commanding soldiers. He had sworn never again, but these were not his soldiers. They were verpine. What cared he if they all died under his command? Hardened apathy turned his heart callous.

"Apprentice," Mikhail called to the other Sith. "Begin laying mines and tripwire just on the outskirts of the facility for any... unwanted visitors."

Using munitions from inside the facility, the Sith soon placed a great deal of high explosives in key locations so that any organized assault against the facility would be met with explosions and a great many legless soldiers. Shorn then headed into the interior of the facility, where the verpine kept a protective guard over the representative. They needed to get him out of here. Yet, Mikhail felt the madness to kill taking hold of him.

Below G99 Asteroid En Route to Generator Asteroid

Moving into the space maneuvers below the main level of combat near G99 and between Nickel One, the fleet that the Iron Maiden and the Golden Companions were attached to entered the fray. Standing in the bridge of the Valor, Colonel Iron Maiden fully dressed in her Golden Companions golden-white armor and gold tunic, with her trademark helmet with bull horns gazed over the holo-table that projected an image of the area. One of the bridge staff began to relay information to her. "There is heavy fighting around Nickel One and moving forces around G99, they're current coordinates are two levels above." Maiden nodded her head in acknowledgement. She rested her hands on the table and looked into the map.

"Set course for Generator Asteroid, we'll hit them there. Keep them from amassing troops unchecked." Maiden commanded with a heavy tone. The staff replied, "Aye, Aye Colonel, but the defense will be heavy there." Iron Maiden raised her eyes to stare into the staffer's, "I know, but this is what the Tetan Legion does, we lead to where the fight is needed and right now it's needed at Generator. Don't worry about us; we've always punched above our weight." The man returned to his seat and Iron Maiden removed herself from the table and approached the bridge commander's platform.

"We're heading to Generator Asteroid. Fly below the main levels of combat, we'll fly under G99 and Nickel One. Use the ensuing combat above us as cover. Blast sensors to maximum and have the fighters on standby ready to roll out." Iron Maiden paused to let the bridge staff get about their business and properly relay her commands. She spoke more softly but with a dead serious tone, "Let's get to it gents. We've got a battle to win." Stepping down, still holding her horned helmet she addressed a nearby communications officer. "Patch me through to Admiral @Friedrich Stahlmannhttp://starwarsrp.net/user/792-friedrich-stahlmann/ and the Indomitable." The communications officer nodded and went to work. A light appeared and her image was transported to him. "Admiral. This is Colonel Iron Maiden of the Tetan Legions, 39th Koros Major Battalion. We are currently advancing on Generator Asteroid via Nickel. We're floating right below you, hope you don't mind us using you as cover." Iron Maiden finished with a salute.

While waiting for a response she whispered to the officer once more, "Send a script message to 73rd's Major @[member="Delila Castillon"], that Golden Companions are on the move to Generator and they are to keep me posted with their situation on G99, also hail any friendlies that are projected to be following any similar attack [@[member="Kamon Vondiranach"]] patterns to Generator."

"Alright heading for extraction." Jesta whispered into his comm trying to head into a jog with the Verpine rep. He stayed low and watched for any soldiers carefully as he traveled down to the first floor outside the building. He could hear things happening back in the assembly building, explosions apparently. Jesta walked up to the first rail cart that pulled up and walked in with the verpine, others attempted to pile in and Jesta swung around and pointed his pistol at them. They all paused and the rail cart suddenly started to move without any delay. Looking at the rep who apparently was freaking out Jesta pulled up his arm and spoke again. "Alright we are at the checkpoint, have things ready when we get there." Jesta said giving the rep a rifle he had planted into the cart. 'Jesta, i got eyes on you. The sith are back at another cart station, not to sure whats happening but get him out of there! He snarled. Jesta nodded and waited.

The Vault

@[member="Ben Watts"] @[member="Jaxton Ravos"] @[member="Atrum Voidlighter"] @[member="Ashin Varanin"]

As the X-Wing went into a controlled descent, Darron checked the seals on the helmet of his suit before he made his next move. The space battle around filled the viewport of his starfighter, and for a moment he studied it in it's full horror/beauty as he hit the jamming field. All systems began to fail on the fighter, and the GrandMaster simply released the stick as it began to drift towards the asteroid housing the Vault. Darron went to use the manual release to eject, but it wasn't working. Stupid power field, guess I need to do this the hard way. A quick push of the Force snapped the viewport off, and he was exposed to the vacumn. Releasing his safety harness, he was floating aimlesly in the void just a few hundred meters away from the airlock he was seeking. Turbo-laser shots and proton torpedos littered the area around him, and he quickly activated the pressurized air tank that would propel him towards the facility.

I hope the others are doing well, this is worse than what we expected.

Some deft maneuvering, and crafty use of the Force allowed him to quickly navigate the distance between his disable fighter and the airlock currently displayed on his helmet. Following the coordinates as closely as he possibly could while avoiding shots that would have snuffed his life out with ease, the Jedi Master checked on the progress of the battle on the other side of his HUD. It seemed fighters from the Republic and Omega Pyre were working closely together, and the vessel the mercenaries had brought was doing quite a deal of damage. The Senate contracts them for help on this, and they send a vessel that size? Feth, we should have asked for their entire military. It faded away just as his other thoughts did as he let the Force overtake him, and just in the nick of time. The hairs on the back of his next stood up as he breathed inside the helmet, and without question he moved to the left as his instincts told him to.

A blast fired through the space where he had been only a second before.

The airlock doors opened as compressed air tank on his back finally ran empty, and the Jedi barely managed to get inside the airlock. Landing on his feet as the doors closed behind him, the room filled with air as it cleaned his suit. Without hesitation, Darron quickly took off the suit with the Force and his hands as quickly as possible. His field of responsibility expanded to fill the entire facility. His guess had been the right one indeed, and standing in his usual attire now, he was ready for the inevitable. Shaking his blonde hair out, the long locks rested on his golden durasteel breastplate. As he made his way through the halls, he adjusted the cortosis greaves on his forearms. Lucky for him, and the Verpine, he only had to use the Force to persuade the opposition to let him through. There was no loss of life, and he had yet to run in to any Sith opposition.

Filled to the brim with the Force, he let all of his lifes training, and the new studies he had started in the last year to flow through his mind. Filled with the light, he kept his lightsabers at his waist as he opened to door to the hangar bay.

The Empress was waiting.

"Sir, enemy ships attempting to flank us!"

"Yes, yes," growled Dirk. "I can see that."

A sudden figure appeared on the bridge. Seth Shorn had returned from combat. His skills were not needed in the dogfight, but upon the bridge, it appeared. The grimly clad Praetor moved to look at the hologram floating in the air, depicting the battle. Corvettes, frigates, and now Echani vessels moved from G99 to attack Seth. The Praetor nodded slowly in satisfaction. This had been his design. The entire battle line of the Republic had been drawn askew as they all focused to bring down the Adjudicator. This left room for other vessels (@[member="Avicus DuSang"] @[member="Kaine Zambrano"]) to attack the comparatively undefended side of G99.

Fortunately, neither the Echani vessels nor the bulk of Admiral Walsh's flotilla had joined battle. However, the Omega Pyre vessel gave cause for concern. Seth's adamantine gaze studied the 3d map of space for another moment before turning to the officers on the bridge. The time for stage two was at hand.

"Pull back, alert the two Rampant-class Monitors flanking us to join under our fleet banner. Helm, bring us about, full speed for the Imperial fleet." Shorn turned to Dirk. "Good work, Captain. You have done well in my absence. I suspect Omega Pyre will be licking their wounds from that salvo you gave them."

Dirk gave a noncommittal grunt.

"Officer Tors, get a message to the rest of our flotilla. I assume they have just passed Nickel One?"

The Communications Officer nodded. "Yes, Praetor. four anemoi-class corvettes and another four Rampant-class monitors. An additional Pellaeon - the Arbiter - is with the detachment as well."

"Good, have them rendezvous with our forces once we reach the outer edge of Nickel One. We will reform the battle line there and mount a counter-offensive." Shorn's gaze turned from the officer to the bridge's viewport, where explosions winked in and out of existence as the battle raged.

The Pellaeon turned about, its entire bulk moving in a hundred and eighty degrees before chugging toward flotilla gathered in space near Nickel One. Sublight engines roared silently in space and the ship churned back toward the approaching flotilla.

"You want to draw them out," grunted Dirk.

A grim, half-smile formed on Seth's lips. "Indeed."

Ashin paused as her team made its way into the vault asteroid. "The Grandmaster is here. The rest of you, get the fighter plans from the vault and steal or disable that ship-killer of a jamming device. I'll leave you to it."

She left the group and ducked into a side tunnel. When Darron Wraith entered a hangar bay, there stood Ashin. Maintenance and refuelling droids scurried around a handful of small ships. The hangar was relatively small itself, but its high ceiling would give plenty of room to maneuver. Behind a force field, space waited, and tiny asteroids tumbled slowly.

The maintenance droids scattered, and the Empress of ten thousand worlds let them go. She had discarded her vacuum-sealed trooper armor, and her true armor, Contempt, was safe in the Peregrine with Spencer. The suit of alchemical plate was utterly unfit for space transit.

Clad now in loose, wrinkled trousers and a sleeveless shirt, the scarred woman looked like nothing so much as a street tough from the lower levels of Nar Shaddaa. At her belt she carried only one lightsabre -- her own. Simple to the eye, complex inside, it had a dual-phase setting and absolutely zero dimetris circuits in the activation loop. As she unclipped it reverently from the belt that rode low on her hips, the weapon flared to life, igniting into a bar of sky-blue fire. She raised it in salute and settled into a recognizable, balanced Shii-Cho ready stance.

"You told me to switch to Djem So, Darron. I didn't. Just like you pushed Vaapad to its limits, just as my grandfather pushed Soresu to the brink, I am the master of the first Form. The choice of martial art is less important than the artist. This is who I am."

Nickel One

Roche Asteroids. Not only was it vital in controlling the Parlimian Trade Route, it could also supply a faction with hundreds of weapons and starfighters. Which was why the Senator of Kuat, instead of lounging in the Galactic Senate with a cup of coffee in his hand, was out here on the battlefield with twin pistols on his his hands. Brunswick was currently gathering a group of Verpines outside the Verpine's (somewhat badly burnt) assembly building in the gardened dome of the capital asteroid Nickel One. The group of Verpines that Brunswick had managed to gather was each armed with a few grenades and a blaster rifle each. They had volunteered to serve in the militia during this battle at Roche. "Republicans miliitia." That's what they were calling themselves. There about fifty of them gathered outside the buidling, listening to Senator Brunswick as he informed them of what was going on. Suddenly, there was another large explosion from inside the assembly building. Hopefully Jesta had gotten the Republican Verpine representative out of there..

"Jesta, do you have the Republican Verpine representative with you? Cause I don't think there's anyone alive at this point inside the assembly building..."

After listening to Jesta's answer, the Kuati senator nodded. He looked back at the fifty-men milita of Verpines. "My friends! I have info that they have moved the Sith-Verpine representative into the actual Nickel One colony. We have to attack their munitions facility. Lets move!" He also had the info that all the Verpines that tried to prevent the Imperials from entering the facility were brutally slaughtered, but he decided that that fact would not help to motivate the gathered militia. Moving at a jogging pace, Brunswick led the group of fifty Verpines towards the facility.

Fifteen minutes later. The assault against the munitions facility with the militian Verpine group was turning out to be a disaster. About twenty of the Verpines the group were dead, and ten more were injured. They had triggered what appeared to be a ring of explosives around the facility, and many of the Verpines were just blown up in two seconds. Still, the Kuati senator ordered the militia group forward. They had to find a way into the facility to capture the opposing Verpine political party's leader...
