First Blood

It had been quite a long time since ways had been parted with his benefactor, Archon Xian. How long exactly? The count was lost. That was perhaps how long was spent in solitary preparation, from taking the time to adjust to the new prosthetics as well as make personal modifications and upgrades to his body. From retraining in the various powers and combat techniques that had once been mastered centuries ago, to acquiring stolen treasures raided from abandoned Sith temples to fund certain endeavors, much time was spent indeed......

The last couple of months spent in solitude were spent building his new lightsaber, and then training to wield it once more. It was almost inconceivable to fathom, that the much anticipated hour was actually drawing near, but it was apparently so. Volgang Hawool, fallen Jedi Master, stood high on the ledge of a building as he looked down on the bustle of Dorsis' busy streets. Concealed within his long cloak and hood, Volgang simply waited as if on a dare to not move. For over 2 months he undertook a personal mission to track down the descendant of his jailer and discover whatever he could about him, wherever he could discover it.

One such finding led him to seek out a certain young woman whom the descendant of Deo-Law Navras had become partnered with. To what extent did their partnership go? It was inconclusive to say at this point, the only thing that mattered is the possibility that this would work. Having only made a minimal effort to study the young woman, Volgang's findings indicated that this girl although no match for the likes of him, had enough knowledge of the Force as well as a specific mastery over it that would give her a significant advantage if Volgang were to engage her in close proximity. Armed with this knowledge, Volgang used another part of the small hoard of Sith treasure he still had to bribe some local thugs on Dorsis. While they were told to bring her to him, their chances of success were almost non-existent. If they succeed in bringing her to him, more treasure would be their reward. Should they fail, a small price to pay for a necessary distraction.

Watching silently, the girl he was waiting for finally came into view. Motioning to his concealed temporary allies in this endeavor down at ground level, Volgang relished in the opportunity that lay in wait to be seized. Taking out a sedative dart, Volgang hovered it next to himself as they both awaited the inevitable. The men were slowly closing in on the girl, slowly but surely. The same rhythm Volgang was taking his chance at revenge.

Time and again Aren was drawn back to Dorsis. After she had parted ways with an old friend, this is where she had gone. Almost as soon as she landed, she was the victim of an attack and somebody rescued her. The two of them had left Dorsis and he had started to open a door for her. It had scared her and she ran. Once again, she had returned to Dorsis and from here had found herself travelling into Sith territory. A bungled break in attempt caused her to be taken captive by a Sith knight. The door Lan-Dai had started opening for her was spread further with the help of Adrian.

From him, she had learned many things and had a great control of certain abilities that hadn't been present before. Aren now had wonderful control over the basics of the Force and ever so slowly was being drawn to the Dark Side. Her master had made her master her emotions to the best of her ability. He had granted her some measure of freedom and so far she had travelled back to her home on Zakuul and then to Coruscant.

There, the now young woman had been reunited with Lan-Dai. He had accepted her back into his life, but they had once again parted ways. Life took her back to Dromund Kaas and to the side of her master. Being given the freedom to come and go as she wanted as long as she accomplished any tasks he put in front of her, she wound up back on Dorsis. One of the places everything began for her.

Retracing her steps from that fateful day, she now had some additional friends with her. EL, the droid she had put together many years ago was still with her. Her additional companions were Red and Sam along with a small spider droid that had yet to name itself. Red would fly around as she carried the small spider droid and keep an eye out for anything of interest.

Dorsis was a crowded world, filled with organics, droids and cyborgs. It was smaller than Coruscant, but quite similar in many ways. Even though Red watched and looked out for her, not everything was noticed by his eye...

The same thugs that had assaulted her those years ago had been hired by Volgang and slowly snuck up on the young woman. Unnoticed by Red or any of her other companions, they struck. Stopping her by calling out, Aren turned around and faced her old adversaries. A small change went through her though and the untapped power she had held before had manifested within her now. While she didn't always have full control of her abilities, she had a far greater range of them and had full mastery of Mechu Deru.

"You guys here for another round?"

Not waiting for a reply, she attacked. Knowing what their weaknesses were, she exploited them. Sending out her Mechu Deru to attack the cybernetics of them, she was focused on them and waited to find out which of them remained standing.

[member="Volgang Hawool"]

Thus far his recon, analysis, and conclusion had not been proven wrong as Volgang assessed how the girl managed to deal with those men with cybernetic implants, and how wisely he had kept himself at bay. Fortunately not every single one of the thugs hired had revealed themselves to her, and there were several that were wisely instructed to stay hidden until the time was right to strike.

The second part of the plan would now go into effect as the sedative dart still hovered next to him, waiting for its turn. A city block away, a large building stood serenely as people entered and exited mundanely. Volgang stretched his hand out towards the building's lobby, moments later an explosion was seen and heard. Volgang had a bomb placed in the lobby of the building, yet it wasn't to deliberately hurt anyone there, they were inconsequential, collateral damage at best. Seeing the girl's airborne droid move away from her and towards the explosion, Volgang pressed a beacon on his belt to alert the rest of the hired thugs to begin making their move. Likewise, the hovering dart waited no more and sped through the air towards its target.

The men would reach her just as the dart would, the explosion having provided more than enough distraction. Awaiting the inevitable, Volgang briefly turned around to look upon the containment chamber he had managed to acquire. This would prove useful in containing the girl and keeping her from using her powers against him.

Turning his attention back to the matter at hand, Volgang evaluated attentively in case any aspect of the plan went south and required instant improvisation.

Mike was there looking at everything that has happening. He was looking for a new Acolyte. Somebody that would not turn his back on him and someone not as winey as the last two. He hoped that he could turn [member="Volgang Hawool"] into a Sith. A Sith full of promise. Mike continues looking at his live holograms on his personal ship and waits for the time to strike.

The timing of the explosion couldn't have been better. As Aren worked at disabling her opponents, the building nearby boomed and almost knocked her off her feet. She kept her balance and the dart sent at her, hit squarely on her shoulder. Since she was using the Force, it took it a few moments longer to actually effect her.

When it did, though, the woman started to crumple down to the ground. As the second group of hired thugs came up to her, they took a hold of her and caught her before she completely fell. What hold she had on the Force was gone and the others rose to their feet. Shaking off the effects of her skill, they realised they had full mobility again and had no adverse effects.

One of them wanted a bit of revenge for everything she had done to him. He moved to aim a kick at her stomach, but the gang's leader stopped him. With a stern look at the younger man, he held out a hand to stop him. Letting out a huff, the other one stepped away and kicked the wall next to them. Motioning to the newly arrived people, they picked her up and carried her to where their payment would be waiting for them.

Aren had no idea what was happening or going on around her as they carried her away. If she had known, then very likely might have approved of the methods he went to accomplish his goal. It was something her master would have done. That was something she was learning and might have done the same thing herself.

As the events unfolded, Volgang stood beside himself with an almost uncontrollable glee. Another phase of his plan had been completed successfully, and the girl had been flawlessly subdued. Volgang's attention was suddenly interrupted if only for the briefest of moments, as he caught wind of an undeniably powerful presence, elusive, yet vigilant for an unknown purpose.

When the thugs arrived with the now unconscious girl, Volgang pointed to the containment chamber motioning for them to place her inside. Once this was done, the thugs' leader stepped up to ask for their due payment.

"A deal is a deal......" was all Volgang would say as a large leather bag was pulled towards his feet.

Opening the bag, the thugs discovered pieces of aurodium, and shards of electrum amongst other valuable material that could either be used for direct purchase or fenced for a large sum in credits.

Turning to leave once their business had concluded, Volgang had an instant second thought.....

"Hold it!!!" Volgang said sharply. "There could be even more reward for you if you were to stay on the ground and keep any intruders from arriving..... There is only one whom I want to reach me, no one else is welcome...... Make sure that no one except my target gets past your perimeter and there will be even more where that came from...."

The offer did pique their interest, and they turned to ask for more details.

"And who is your target? This way we know who you're talking about....." The leader asked.

"Oh trust me, you'll know him when you see him....." This was all Volgang would say as the gang's leader nodded in approval of his proposal.

The girl now helplessly trapped within the containment chamber, Volgang rose with it to a higher floor where it would be held aloft outside the building for all to see. Turning up the voltage slightly in order to snap the girl awake, Volgang then stood in what would be the middle of the floor he stood on. Closing his eyes for a moment, Volgang took a deep breath and let out a mighty roar, and with it a Force Shockwave with a considerable radius. The shockwave in and of itself would not affect the edifice he found himself in, but would rather affect those outside of it if only slightly at best. This shockwave was meant to be felt through the Force, as Volgang was confident that this would be how he would best attract his prey.

Roaring again, and sending out another shockwave, only one word could faintly be heard within the roar itself.

"NAVRAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Mig sighed as he sat at some cantina. The Force had called him here for some reason, and he was set on figuring out what it was. It wasn't going well though. He leaned back, "enjoying" some horribly seasoned bantha. Poodoo! Did these people even know how to cook? He then felt and heard an explosion. Mig quickly turned, being his usual self and running towards the sound of danger. He looked around, feeling out with the Force as he walked up, weapon drawn. He then heard a roar, and quickly followed. Mig then saw this group that he assumed caused all this. He eyed them, but he didn't say anything until he got a little closer.

"Now what makes you think you can go aroud just blowing thing up. Catching folks into your little fight."

Well, he knew what the Force wanted now. One of the thugs quickly ran up to Mig, and the Mandalorian was quick to respond. He quickly closed the distance using his blade to slice the man’s neck. He the. Looked over at the others. He held his blade ready, looking.

"If you’re all as dumb as him, I’m liking my odds."

The last few days were spent resting, muscles relaxing, strength under restoration. For months on end Lan-Dai found himself on several planets training under different conditions and environments. His armor in its most pristine state, his belt stocked, Lan-Dai Navras was standing serenely on a cliff on Ragoon VI. Eyes closed, Lan-Dai was enjoying the soothing silence when a great cry was felt elusively. At first Lan-Dai was alarmed, but then thought nothing of it. Just as quickly his manacle roared to life as it glowed as it never had before.

The sensation through the Force, combined with the activation of Deo-Law's conduit heirloom meant only one thing. "He's here......." Lan-Dai said in soliloquy as the voice of his ancestor echoed in the background saying the same. "R8!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" That was all he said through his commlink as he readied himself to return to action. Not a minute had passed, and the familiar sound of his fighter was upon him, the cockpit already opened, Lan-Dai jumped in as the cockpit closed and the fighter flew out into open space. "R8, Dorsis.......... and step on it!!!!!" Lan-Dai ordered, trying to maintain composure as he braced himself for what he was about to face. His training, his isolation, his calling, it all came down to this. Coming out of hyperspace, Lan-Dai took over as he began to steer the fighter full throttle into the skies of Dorsis.

Heading towards what seemed to be the aftermath of a fire or an explosion, Lan-Dai sensed the faint glowing of the manacle as he took deep breaths, coming closer and closer to the origin of the displacement. As he neared, Lan-Dai’s otherwise poised demeanor was abruptly shaken by yet another presence he knew all too well. What was Aren doing here or close by? The answers would come soon enough as he found himself heading towards a building from which a loud roar was suddenly heard.

Flying almost frantically, at times struggling to maintain control at that high speed, Lan-Dai saw the building straight ahead. "R8, be ready to take over....." was all he said when the cockpit suddenly opened, and Lan-Dai jumped out over the main entrances to the building over 80 stories above. Freefalling diagonally towards the wall, Lan-Dai ran downwards when he had come close enough before pushing off to jump down from 30 stories. Somersaulting and then landing neatly about 30 feet from the entrance, Lan-Dai made no attempt to hide his disgust, his anger, and his desire to end this before anyone else got hurt. Likewise, Lan-Dai sent out his own shockwave through the Force when he broke his silence, in an attempt to bait his enemy into showing himself. "VOLGANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............." Lan-Dai's scream rang loudly through both the immediate vicinity as well as through the Force, as he now would come face to face with the same adversary as did his ancestor.

Lan-Dai took very little notice of the men behind him, apparently there to guard the entrance from outsiders. Had he paid any attention to them at all, he would’ve realized that these were the same men who tried to take Aren by force when they first met. There was also a Mandalorian present, whom apparently, he was able to sense by way of the Force. Whether friend or foe was unimportant at this point, as his attention was drawn to the containment chamber high above him. It didn’t take much to put 2 and 2 together to know just who was within.

“Aren….”

This was all he managed to say as he struggled to regain himself and poise for what awaited him.

Mike ordered his TX-1 Robots to carry a message to Volgang. He firgured that he would need volgangs's help with something. Mike lays at his temporary base and waits for a time to strike.

Myles was on Dorsis to resupply and refuel his ship before he would visit Naboo. Dorsis was considered by many to be a smaller-scale version of Coruscant. Either way, it was a city and Myles cared little for the urban sprawls. The grizzled veteran left his AIAT/i in the spaceport while he went to do some resupply shopping by gathering rations, power cells, etc. and he found himself further and further from the spaceport. Davorak had a tendency of getting distracted by the bazaars and marketplaces that were so unique to planets in their own regard.

Myles was armed with only a slugthrower revolver at this point as he left his CAR-17 Blaster Rifle aboard his ship as to 'not stand out'. Whipping around a corner of a building, he could see a few rough looking individuals that were harassing a vagrant. Davorak rolled his eyes, knowing what would end up happening.

"Get outta here you poor peasant, we got business around here and you don't. So....scram!"
Seems that the vagrant was trespassing, but on what authority and what was going on?

That answer might come to him soon as the thugs noticed him and made their way.
"That goes for you bantha fodder! Get outta here or we'll have to rough you up....you look like you're carrying some good money"

There were two of them but to be fair, these thugs looked capable and seemed to be well-organized. Myles stood his ground and did not turn away.
"If you pay me, I'll leave. I'm a soldier of fortune so I can offer any intelligent service....for a price. Besides, harassing someone like this other fellow just shows what detritus you are"

Not knowing what detritus meant really made the thugs mad, so they walked over to him while spouting numerous vulgarities that Myles couldn't translate or hadn't heard of.
"The only thing you are getting is a swift blow to the head you mynock dung...Let's get him!"

Wrong move.

Myles arced backwards while flipping his slugthrower revolver out in one smooth motion and fired a first slug that hit the torso of one thug. Following that first shot up, Myles fanned his revolver and fired three slugs each. Both thugs fell down to the concrete and alusteel ground with a meaty thud.

Blood was spilling out of their bodies and staining the ground they once stood on. Something had caught his eye however, it was a small pouch that had fallen out of a pocket of theirs. Unbinding the cord, Myles peered at the contents which consisted of electrum shards and other valuable metals. Thugs of this nature normally didn't carry or have access to this sort of stuff. Curious as to what these thugs were guarding over, Davorak reloaded his slugthrower revolver and proceeded further down the alleyway which mazed around the cityscape. Finding an emergency escape ladder, Myles traversed the building until he was on the rooftop which made a perfect environment to perform recon for a situation such as this.

A clearing of buildings was spotted, to which more ruffians could be spotted along with interesting looking individuals and a notable yelling was heard.

Lan-Dai Navras said:
"VOLGANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............."
"Hmm....this...doesn't look right. What is that containment chamber doing there....who are these people?"
Myles didn't like getting involved in affairs that he was not hired for, nor had anything to do with him. Kneeling down on the rooftop, he would observe what would transpire next.

Passing through the marketplaces of Dorsis looking for supplies that may be of use to him after leaving Vjun, Rann felt a presence through the Force he hadn't felt in awhile.

However, he dismissed the feeling almost as soon as it came to him. Not allowing himself to be drawn into a meditation or precognitive event in the middle of a crowd. He didn't like advertising his Force Sensitiveness.

The Force, it seemed, had other plans. For as Rann was passing through some stalls he saw a news bulletin fly up on the nearest holonet projector. Curious, he walked closer to it and observed.

GNN Instant Update: We interrupt the originally scheduled programming to bring you this breaking news bulletin. An explosion in the lobby of a large edifice in the busy streets of Dorsis. We're live on Dorsis as rescue workers are still arriving at the scene as many innocent bystanders within were killed, and even more were injured either in the explosion or the blast radius. The exact body count has not yet been determined or released, though there is evidence that the explosion originated from a bomb placed in the lobby itself. The question is: Who is behind this incident? Are we looking at terrorist attack? Or is it a faction looking to make a statement? More news as we get.......... This just in, now it appears as though a gang has taken over a building not too far from where bomb exploded. For what reason is not clear, as the building is aban...... Wait a minute, we're seeing several floors above that a young woman is being held within a containment chamber on display for all to see. The young woman and the chamber that holds her are being placed to hang high above the ground as if she is a hostage of some sort. Any attempt that is made to approach the building has thus far been prevented by the thugs below, could this....... and now a deep roar is heard from the center of the building, a roar that can also faintly be felt by many within the vicinity. Could all of this be linked somehow? The attack on the building, and now this seizing of another edifice and the display of the young woman as a hostage? More news as we get it, broadcasting live from Dorsis this is GNN....

Rann looked closely at the woman in the projection. She seemed incredibly familiar.

"Aren." He said quietly to himself. He remembered his one-time traveling companion, and the side where she stitched him up after his injury hurt with retroactive memory pain. He turned and walked quickly out of the market to the nearest landing pad. A couple speeders were there and he walked to the closest one with the driver inside.

"Get out. I'm taking your speeder." He said matter-of-factly.

"Uhm. What? No.. you're not." The average, frankly weak looking man said to him.

He took his lightsaber out from inside his clothing and ignited it, pointing it at the man and drawing eyes from everyone around.

"Yes. I am."

He raced to the location broadcasted with all speed.

Myles crouched on top of the roof and pulled out his macrobinoculars to survey the situation. Various thugs and what he called 'saber wielders' littered the scene. Kark.

He picked the wrong day to leave his carbine aboard the ship, but he needed to leave it behind or he would have drawn too much attention. Davorak had no interest in getting involved with Force users, they could be dangerous and he had no idea what alliances they belonged to....if any. Putting away his macrobinoculars, he heard a loud THUMP come from behind him.

The grizzled veteran twisted his torso in order to turn around but that's when the sensation ran all over his body. Someone or something just socked him in the face...hard.

Seeing blurred images, he shook his head to be greeted by a large individual. A Trandoshan from the looks of it, and a very fit one. Hissing at him and swearing at the old man the Trandoshan continued.

"Whatssss the matter? Don't enjoy a ssssucker punch? That wasss for my friendssss you killed in the alley....scum"

Great. A Trandoshan fighter got the best of him and wanted to fight to the death. Just what he wanted.

Myles proceeded to get up and embrace what would be to come. A tough fight.
The Trandoshan lunged at Myles to which he barely evaded in time and he followed the motion through with a brief elbow to the back of the creature. Hissing in aggravation the reptilian further swiped at Myles until it caught a good slash at his torso, ripping his shirt and prompting blood to come forth from his skin.

"You karkin' lizard. Get outta here."

The Trandoshan laughed at the request and charged at Myles hoping to grab him in a bear hug. At last the moment came where Myles would spin out of the way of the reptilian's attempt and retaliate with a roundhouse kick to the back of the head. Hissing more in confusion it turned around and charged full force at Myles, not letting up and not stopping for anything.

Performing a somersault on the ground, Myles rolled out of the way and finished with a few slugs coming out of his slugthrower revolver just in time to hit the Trandoshan in the torso. The reptile was already approaching the edge of the roof when attempting the tackle but the slugs that met it's torso allowed the Trandoshan to fall backwards and off of the roof.

A loud commotion could be heard just seconds after the fall. Peering over the edge of the roof he could see that the individual was dead and that it's body hit a few crates and containers that likely broke it's back. Whatever the case was, Myles was safe for now but it was a close call. Clenching his chest, the claw marks from the Trandoshan cut deep and he would need some medical attention soon. He would see what the commotion in the courtyard was about as GNN seemed to be reporting on the location based on the individuals he was seeing approach the area.

Reloading his revolver, Myles clamored back down the ladder and stumbled to the courtyard.

"Karkin' hell....I have lost my touch...."
Leaning against the durasteel wall of a building Myles recomposed himself as best as he could.

For all the attention that he was drawing to himself, Volgang did not care. The presence of the Mandalorian below was a curious one, yet of no consequence. The sudden arrival of a few TX-1 droids piqued his curiosity, for they were not there to attack, otherwise they would’ve done so already. Eventually one of them began to display a message directed at him, yet Volgang was hardly interested and little heeded it. Faintly he heard a request for assistance from another dark sider, a Sith. Volgang neither gave his consent to the messenger droids, nor did he send them away, simply leaving them there in the ether as he began to grow slightly impatient at his apparent lack of success. Thus far Volgang had attracted the attention of everyone other than the one he wanted, and the frustration was increasing…

The faded smile returned as he sensed the hurried coming of a presence he recognized all too well. This oncoming presence had a similar enough signature as that of his adversary from centuries ago, it was then Volgang realized that this was the very man he sought. Chuckling once more, the Shistavanen could not refrain from expressing his delight upon the success of his frontal assault. Upon seeing Lan-Dai arrive on the scene and landing below, Volgang did not expect the sudden scream and shockwave not unlike the ones Volgang himself released earlier. Roaring in triumph, Volgang completely neglected his droid guests and jumped down to ground level from where he stood, cracking the tiles on the floor with the weight of his landing. Had he been any saner, Volgang would have realized that the descendant of his sworn enemy had referred to Volgang by name. This alone denoted that somehow the progeny of Deo-Law’s bloodline had by this point been made aware of Volgang’s existence, and thus what he was here for. Upon landing, Volgang joyfully let out a mighty roar, and with it another shockwave aimed directly at him.

"So............. You are Deo-Law's descendant, I was beginning to think you were a coward...."

Volgang said, regaining himself as he threw away his cloak, revealing his well toned body, enhanced by its few prosthetic pieces, robes similar looking to those of a Jedi, and pieces of armor that almost mirrored those of his quarry.

"And now I keep my promise to him............. BY KILLING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Volgang's words burst into an intense burst of Force Lightning emanating from his left hand.

"DIE AS YOU DESERVE TO!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Fixated on his attack, the trandoshan's landing nearby went completely unnoticed by the Shistavanen Master.

Rising just as quickly, Lan-Dai recovered himself. The anger and disgust dissipating as quickly as they had built up. Once more, Lan-Dai returned to his usual stoic demeanor.

"I am not a coward, Volgang. You did, however, make the mistake of attacking my own......" Lan-Dai said, likewise pulling back his own cape, his armor and weaponry fully revealed. Quickly bracing himself for battle, Lan-Dai only had a split second to react as he deduced how Volgang would attack when he saw the raising of his left hand. Countering quickly, Lan-Dai instantly threw his right hand forward, and allowed a burst of golden lightning to be set loose to meet Volgang's.

The Shistavanen had underestimated him, or perhaps was looking to measure him. Either way, the attack was uneffective as both lightning sources ultimately receded before resuming again. The second barrage of lightning, however, was far more powerful and had the intention of lasting far longer. Having no choice, Lan-Dai followed suit, and countered with his own brand of electric judgment. The continuous outpour of Force energy in which neither one gained the edge, nor were they willing to concede only resulted in a blowback with a considerable radius that pushed them both several yards back. Pausing briefly to recover from the recoil, Lan-Dai rose to stand erect as he once more turned to face his enemy, and thinking of how he would take the fight elsewhere.

His thoughts on how to deal with Volgang were briefly distracted by the landing of a body not too far from where they were. For the slightest moment Lan-Dai sensed the presence of another on a nearby rooftop. More than likely the one who facilitated the body’s descent into some crates below.

Whether friend or foe was too soon to tell as he quickly returned to the matter at hand as Lan-Dai’s mind tried to formulate how to neutralize Volgang, save Aren, and hopefully not die in the process.

One of the last things Aren remembered was being surrounded by the same thugs that had originally tried to assault her the first time she had been on Dorsis. Then a person had come to her rescue, in the end she had run from him. What he had offered to her then scared her. Not yet ready to face what was there and what might have been, the girl had run. As years had passed though, she had opened one of those doors further.

Having finally stepped through, her control of the Force was far greater. However, even a dart can cut that off from her. She had been knocked unconscious. They had treated her form with some care and no damage was done. The next thing she knew was she was captured and awoken with a shock high above the ground and in a cage.

Resorting to her normal skills, she found the Force was essentially deprived from her. It could be felt, but no matter what she tried, she couldn't touch it. That didn't mean she couldn't do something. Her bag was still with her and she sat down to get some tools out.

Her droid friends meanwhile had lost all contact with her. EL would be able to be find on her own and Sam, but Red might be a little lost without her. That actually didn't ask too long as he could fly high above everything and look down. He found her on top of the building in her prison and flew in her direction.

The Force shockwave hit him and threw him slightly off course, but once it was passed, he continued on with his mission. He was going to get reunited with his master and friend. Maybe even figure out a way to get her out of that box. What confused him was she wasn't trying to contact him.

Aren brought some tools out and started to try and figure out a way to get herself out of her box. The arrival of Lan and Rann was almost unfelt by her, but something itched her along the back of her neck as each of them got closer.

Mig eyed all the thugs there before him, watching as they remained cautious now. It was then that he heard the familiar arcing of Force Lightning. He looked up, seeing the lightning above. It was this distraction that the thugs needed to strike though. They charged him, with one quickly landing a blow on his armor. He looked back, quickly slashing at the attacker. Ok.... Maybe it was time to reveal some tricks. The Mandalorian quickly ignited the lightsaber edges of his Trayc'kad, and used the Force to push one of the thugs away.

"What the...? But you're a Mando!" Mig quickly cut the enemy down, ready to strike the next person to come.

"We can be full of tricks." He then lashed out at another, quickly meeting a vibro-sword. He eyed the thug who was ready for another trick. He stepped back, leaving an opening for the sword wielder, then quickly unsheathed his own vibro-sword, slicing through without giving a chance to counter.

Arriving on the scene and surveying the situation, Rann Landed the speeder and disembarked it quickly. He could see [member="Lan-Dai Navras"] and [member="Volgang Hawool"] fighting each other but did not care. He approached the local law enforcement's barricade and was stopped by some officer

"Sir please step back, this is an active situation, we can't have civilian interference."

Rann raised his hand and spoke, "I'm a specialist. You've seen me before."

"You're a specialist. I've seen you before."

"You're going to let me pass, and tell your men to let me pass."

"I'm going to let you pass. Men! Let him pass."

That was easy. Rann thought to himself.

He advanced past the blockade and focused on the task at hand. He saw quite a few people scuffling. A team of law enforcement agents engaging a group of whoever terrorists he didn't know. He saw a few individuals engaging more members of this group.
He did not care for any of them. He had but one concern.

His one time traveling companion and close friend, [member="Aren D'Shade"] sit in her cage so far above him. He couldn't help but applaud the culprits showmanship. He has all eyes on him.

Hopefully, he thought, no eyes will be on me.

And so, the twnety-something force user, dressed in black and grey, with his hood up, walked forward into the fray. Quietly hoping he'd turn invisible.

He had no fear of conflict, but Aren was in danger and her safety was paramount.

Sadly, it seemed, his invisibility wasn't working. Nor did it ever. He approached behind the officers in battle with the terrorists, and was immediately seen by them. Whether they recognized him as a combatant or a random passer-by worth a blaster, or it was a stray bolt, it didn't matter.

Pssssheew

His lightsaber ignited in front of him, batting the blaster harmlessly into the ground.

This complicates pretty much all of my plan, he thought as he suddenly became the focus for the entire team of terrorists, the law enforcement officers, now to his left, cowering behind their cover. They believed Rann was an enemy, and that he was there to kill them, and thus gave in to fear and panic. But it took not more than one blaster bolt from some heroic individual being deflected away from Rann before Rann shot them a glance. His eyes filled with frustration, but his mouth forced a smile and he held his free hand out at them passively. He had hoped to dissuade them from shooting at him more, or frighten them into thinking he was going to melt their minds with the force. Whichever it was, no more officers fired upon him. He continued advancing forward, deflecting and reflecting blaster bolts from the terrorists. As he advanced, more of them fell. By the time he overtook their defensive position 6 had fallen. The team stopping him from advancing farther into the situation was defeated, and the police force behind him continued to cower behind their cover. Not yet realizing they could seize an advantage in positioning.

"Oh well," he said, his face shifting into determination. He advanced closer to the building entrance, deflecting bolts from the errant blaster as he slowly sped up into first a jog, then a sprint.

He glanced aside to Volgang and Lan-Dai once more. He hoped the conflict would escalate farther that he might just slip by with minimal resistance.

Recalling back his blast, Volgang could see that he now had Lan-Dai's full attention.

"I hope you realize that you have no hope of surviving against me...."

Volgang began, looking to demoralize his enemy, whom he expected to be older and more mature. However, it had become obvious to him that this engagement cannot be decided by their mastery of the Force, as this boy proved that he could match him despite his still lowly ranking in comparison. If he were to kill him, Volgang would have to resort to using a lightsaber. Sizing him up, a part of Volgang began to believe that this boy was not worth the trouble and another approach should be taken if only to gauge the result.

"I knew your ancestor and his padawan when they were at their peak, something you could only HOPE to achieve......... Why don’t you do us both a favor and kill yourself? You should do so while I’m still asking politely…."

Part of him expected the boy to comply, yet the rest of him knew he would not and slowly ignited his lightsaber to engage him. A minute or two of motionless silence, then suddenly Volgang roared as he rushed forward to engage the descendant of his adversary. Volgang was overconfident that his masterful strokes, enhanced by his mechanical right wrist, would be more than enough to confuse and throw this mere padawan off his game. At best he would slice through his lightsaber hilt and then dismember one of his arms in his precise saber swinging.

A point was reached in which Volgang no longer paid too much attention to his technique, and simply placed all of his strength and weight into each attack, his blind desire to kill this boy increasing with each blow met.

Neither pleased nor disgusted, Lan-Dai likewise recalled his own lightning. It was then that Lan-Dai was then subject to Volgang’s verbal attack. His face showed no change as his new enemy began to insult him in a futile attempt to defeat him before the engagement begins.

"Yet you know NOTHING about me......"

Lan-Dai asserted quickly as he made it perfectly clear that he had no intentions of backing down or shying away from a confrontation. It was not hard for the Emerallian to ascertain what turn the engagement would take, since through Force powers alone Volgang couldn’t subdue him the next logical step would be a duel. Raising an eyebrow at Volgang’s next comment, Lan-Dai said nothing in return as he held the hilt of his own lightsaber concealed within his cloak. For too long in Lan-Dai’s mind did Volgang simply stand there and stare him down, not talking or moving, barely breathing.

Two stifled warriors in mute evaluation, each one daring the other to break. Suddenly he saw that the Shistavanen could stand no more and lunged forward at him with a powerful, almost deafening roar. With only 3 seconds to spare, Lan-Dai extended his arm outside of his cloak as he ignited his lightsaber. Only a split second remained before Volgang’s first strike reached him, and Lan-Dai met it head on with a skillful level-headedness. Throwing his cloak back as he parried, countered, and dealt with Volgang with a balance of both defense and offense, his robes and armor now fully visible to his enemy. Sensing the growing frustration, Lan-Dai resolved to keep himself as composed as possible in order to see Volgang break. It was getting easy to realize that Volgang was getting impatient, either he wanted to kill him fast or didn’t expect him to last this long.

Either way, Lan-Dai easily saw that Volgang’s frustration was building up, and perhaps it could be used against him later on……

(Meant to post as Matreya Matreya . Apologies.)
Valashu reclined in his booth, smiling at Harley across from him. The woman was a nutcase. Beautiful, but completely dangerous and deadly. Val was powerful, yet he wouldn't believe his battle with her to be an easy one should she ever truly want to take him on.

Sipping at the coffee on the table in front of himself, he lit a cigarette and took a deep hit. They had began talking about their future plans. He had no urge to move much, instead enjoying their company.

Dressed in a light blue button up shirt, black satin pants, and a pair of sunglasses stop his head, he looked a sight to behold. He had always been a decent dressed man though, so this wasn't anything new.

Of course under the garb was his Archer Armor and at his hip his Compound Bow and Quiver. There wouldn't be a time he was unprepared.

As they spoke suddenly Matreya sensed something. It was off. Battle nearby. Lurching to his feet he settled his quiver at his hip, and attached his bow to his back. Grabbing his Coat, he moved from the establishment.

With that he gestured for Harley to follow and raced from the building. In moment he was in front of a small skirmish. At the center a padawan was taking on a vastly more powerful opponent.

In less than a blink of an eye, he had his bow opened, an arrow nocked, and was aiming at the attacker. The arrow was a small explosive that on contact detonated. As well, being one to move against Force users frequently, should it be moves aside with a Force Push, it would throw the bombs equilibrium and detonate it. Hopefully the kid got out of range.
