Hawk heard Kay moving around as he settle in the chair. It felt weird not having his other hand. He kept forgetting that it was gone. Soon slept overtook him. He fell into a deep slumber. His head tilt back and he started snore lightly.

Kay just smirked to herself as he started to snore. That was good. It meant that he was getting some rest. She sipped her tea and watched the stars from the viewport. This was going to take them a whole day. And with the two of them stuck in the cockpit, that whole day was going to be a long one.

She contemplated playing a trick on him, but then thought better of it. He needed to rest after the shock to his system. Hopefully the dreams that he was having were good ones.

Hawk's dreams were pleasant at first. Dreams of his love Leilani. He softly called her name. Than he turned turned into a nightmare. People were dying all around him. People were begging him to save them. He wasn't able to save them all. He had to make a choice. Hard choices,,


He woke up,with a start. Gasping a little. His head felt feverish. His eyes darted around. "It was just a dream."

Kay watched him and smirked as his dreams caused him to be a bit active. She sipped her tea and just shook her head a bit as he woke. "Yes, it was just a dream. Looks like a bit of a nightmare too. But you're safe here, so just go back to sleep."

He felt restless and on edge now. "No, I'm done sleeping for now. To wired." The dream felt so real to him. "I could use some tea. How long was I sleep?" He rub his eyes with the one hand.

Kay raised a brow. Did he just ask for some tea? "You must have hit your head or something. I thought that you hated tea." She set her cup down and then prepared him one of his own. "You were asleep for a couple of hours. Not long. Dreams have a funny way of playing with our sense of time."

"Hate is a strong word. I don't like tea..just need something smoothing. My nervous are all jittery." He would have prefer an ale but there wasn't any in the cockpit. "Strange day. I don't even know how I am going to [member="Leilani Paaie"] or Maddie about this. I don't want to freak them out.

When the tea had steeped enough, she handed him the cup. "Well there's one thing that they're bound to notice if you don't tell them." She gestured to his missing hand. "But at least there are good fake ones about to replace it with." She picked up her own mug and sipped from it, watching to see Hawk's reaction when he sipped his. It would probably be the same kind of reaction that she would have if she was drinking ale.

Hawk take a sip. He makes a face. It was bitter. "Any sugar? Please tell there is sugar." He sets the cup down. "It too bitter for me." He glances at his right arm. "Yeah.. Thankfully, they have nice fake one. Hopefully I will be able to get one before we get home." He really didn't want Maddie to see him like this.

She smirked as he asked for some sugar. "Sorry, but there isn't any sugar. However, I did pack some honey with us.." Kay laughed a little and got it out for him, pouring just a bit into his cup. She was used to her tea and could easily drink it black. That's what happens when you travel a lot and don't have room to take a lot with you.

"As for your hand, we'll be sure to pick one up on our way."

"Anything that will sweeten it." He watches Kay squeeze the honey in his cup. He takes a sip. "More honey..please. I like it sweet like me." He says with small smile. He shifts in his chair. His arm aching.

"Ow." He moans. "Never knew how much it hurts to lose a limb."

She smirked at his comment as he asked for more honey. "How about sweet like Maddie? I never knew that you had such a sweet tooth." Once she was sure that there was enough honey, she stopped and put it away. "We don't need you to use up all of the honey for one cup of tea."

Kay sat back down in the chair and continued to sip her own tea. "I hear that some people get ghost pains from missing limbs. But it's all just in your head. Maybe it'll get better when you have a prosthetic one."

He sips his tea. "Much better. Thanks. Do we have anything to eat?" He hated having to travel like this.. It was so slow. He stifles a yawn. The tea was putting him a sleep. "You didn't put anything in this tea."

Kay dug into her satchel and brought out a ration bar, holding it out for him. "Just a snack to tide you over. I brought some other foods from the kitchen, but don't quite have a means to cook them..."

She smirked as he suggested that she drugged the tea. "Of course not. Drugging the pilot would be the dumbest thing to do. I think it is just relaxing you. Plus the shock over what happened has worn you out."

Make a face. "Rations..ugh. Not again. Can you open it for me?" He asks trying not to sound ungrateful. "It frustrating feeling this helpless. It hard doing the simplest thing".

He glance at the time. Only been 4 hours. They were only 1/4 through with the trip.

"What? Haven't you heard of using your teeth? Or what about using....the Force?" She grinned and opened it up for him, then handed it back.

"I'm sure that it isn't as bad as you think. And it isn't for long either."

. "I was saving the force to assist me in the bathroom department." He smirks. He grabs the bar with his good one than takes a big bite out of it. He chews on it slowly. "Tasty,..like sawdust.." He says with a wink.

Kay gave him a disgusted face. "Ewww. You are on your own there..." She smirked at his comment on the food. "Should I put some honey on that as well? Or why don't you try dipping it into your tea?"

"Honey on the rations?" He makes a face. He dips his bar in the tea. He munches on it. "That helps some." He finishes his ration and tea. He put the tea cup,down.

A few minutes later, the ship alarms goes off. He glanced at the screen. "Pirates or worse," he mutters.

Kay nearly dropped her tea as the alarms started to go off. Nearly. She looked to the screens, then to Hawk. "Pirates or worse? How could anyone find us or know where to look?" It's not as though they were on a cruise-like voyage.
