Fiery Pit of Hell (@Lady Kay) pm for invite

"I got stupid., " he says as they went inside his ship. With Kay's help, he sits down in the forward compartment. "I went back for the amulet. It wasn't safe here. I knew I couldn't convince you of that. So I locked you in the ship for your safety." He grimaces in pain. "It was just like you said. A Sith must have followed me. I had the amulet in my hand. I blacked out....my hand and amulet gone."

Stupid was an understatement. She wanted to give him a big 'I told you so' lecture. But instead she just nodded. "I can dull some of the pain, but can't regrow your hand....You'll have to instruct me on flying this thing and I hope that the Sith doesn't know how to operate that thing. Hopefully the Sith is already dead from it."

He lends his head back to rest on the seat. She needed him to instruct her. Great. "I just need some pain meds but first let get off this planet." He stands and makes his way to the cockpit. He sits down in the co-pilot chair. This was a first. "Take a seat."

Fraking amulet! He didn't hear it anymore. That was troubling to him. It could mean that it had found a new host/master to serve.

She helped him, more so giving him a shoulder to lean on as they walked to the cockpit. Once there she sat in the pilot's seat. It felt strange as she was used to either being a passenger or helping out in the copilot's seat. But either way she looked to the array of buttons. "Every ship is different. But at least I have you here to prevent me from hitting the wrong buttons." Steering was the easier part. Hopefully the structural integrity of the repairs was good enough.

It was like he was reading Kay's mind. "Don't worry. She will hold together." He should be the one flying the ship. Especially when she was in this condition. "Did you seal the crew quarters?" He asks as he helps Kay run through the preflight check list.

"Seal the crews quarters? Would that just be closing and locking the doors? If so, then I did that when I brought in the pillows and blankets." Maybe he had some blast doors or something to seal it. She hadn't even thought of that until now.

[member="Lady Kay"]

"No, it takes more than closing door. You have to seal the whole compartment." He stands. "I'll go and do it." It was easier to do it himself than try to tell Kay.

Moving slowly, he makes his way to the crew quarters. He reached up with his right arm to hit the lever. Than realizes he used the wrong arm. Muttering curses he uses his left arm. The bulkhead comes down sealing off the area.

Kay sighed as he seemed to be getting frustrated with herself and his injury. And with the amulet gone....She just knew that he should've sent it into a black hole!! As he returned, she saw the pain written on his face. "The sooner that we go, the sooner that you can get a new hand. We'll worry about everything else later."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Yeah..tomorrow." He sits back down. He instructs Kay in how to fly his ship. He offers some assistance when it get a little tricky in the atmosphere. Kamikaze was making weird sounds. Groaning and banging sounds. "That doesn't sound good."

She followed his instructions to the letter, but the bangs were a cause for concern. He knew his ship better than she did. So when he said that it didn't sound good, she knew that there was something wrong. "What do you think it is? Do we need to seal off more of the ship?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Yeah. I think so.. Go.. Grabs our stuff...and bring it here. Don't forget food and water.. And hurry.. I will level off the ship. We are going to have to seal ourselves in here." He steadies the ship keeping her in the planet atmosphere.

Kay nodded and got up from the pilots chair. She left a lot of things in the kitchen as she had a nap in there before Hawk so rudely locked her in. It took a few trips, but she managed to cram a bunch of things in the cockpit: pillows, blankets, spare clothes, med kit, food and water. There wasn't a whole lot of room to move around, but she did leave a bit of a pathway for them. "Okay. Let's hope this works..."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"It will work." He says sounding more confident than he felt. He hits a switch in the cockpit that locks and seals it off from the rest of the ship, "We need to make a short jump to somewhere that can fix this ship. Any idea?" He didn't trust the ship in a prolonging hyperspace jump.

He was asking her if she knew a place? "Uhh...." She needed a map. It wasn't as though she had all of the worlds in the galaxy memorized in her head. "You need to get a droid to run your ship. Then everything would be taken care of. I'm not sure where we could go. I need a map."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"A droid? Never." Hawk didn't really like droids. Especially ones that can talk back. Hawk switches on the navicomputer map. "Ahhh not much here. We could head to Lothal maybe Ord Mantell. Both are pretty close. I'm thinking Ord Mantell. It little more civilized. What do think?"

"Ord Mantell sounds good. The more people, the more chances of finding help to fix this ship and of finding a bacta tank for your arm, as well as a replacement." She smirked as he said no to a droid. Well, she didn't want one either. It would only slow her down.

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Ord Mantell it is." He says. He inputs the coordinates. He grimaces as he moves around. "It should take us about an hour in hyperspace or one day at sublight. I would prefer going hyperspace. Not sure if the ship can handle the g."

She nodded to him. "It's your ship. You fly it the way you need to. We have enough here to remain comfortable." She gestured to the big pile of stuff that she brought in. "You can sleep and I'll just watch things for you."

[member="Lady Kay"]

He wasn't one to play it safe. This time was the exception. "No hyperspace for us. We will make a go of it on sublight." He just hopes that they don't run into any pirates or anything else that wasn't friendly. The ship couldn't take any more damage.

He helps Kay set the course. He puts the ship on auto pilot. He gets himself settled in the chair with a blanket. "Don't let me sleep too long."

Kay nodded. "Not to worry." She got up and dug through her satchel, getting what she needed to prepare herself some tea, trying to make as little noise as possible while he napped.

Once it was ready she sat in her chair and cradled the cup in her hands, sipping on it every once in a while. Her thoughts strayed from one thing to the other. Would the Sith still need him? Hopefully the amulet would just kill them and it would just drift off into space. Well that was the hope anyways.
