PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Felix Yorwell is a charismatic, self-styled gentleman who carries himself with the poise of a nobleman. Eloquent and well-spoken, Felix is a skilled public speaker and rarely panics under pressure, making him well-suited to his role as a naval commander. Felix holds both himself and others to a high standard, harshly scorning those who fall below his expectations. Acutely aware of and seeking to avoid being labelled a hypocrite, Felix takes his naval service very seriously and is unafraid to admit his personal shortcomings when he knows he can improve upon them.
Felix strongly believes that a powerful, unrestrained government with a vast navy is needed to bring lasting peace and order to the galaxy. As a result, Felix has often been drawn to the authoritarian empires of the galaxy, serving in the navies of the New Imperial Order, independent Borosk, and the Empire of the Lost before taking up his current post with the Imperial Confederation. A centrist by Imperial standards, Felix is a supporter of meritocracy within the armed forces and the government, believing firmly that it is the right of the talented elite to rule over and defend the rest.
STRENGTHS
The Gentleman Commodore: Felix is highly charismatic and approachable, inspiring officers under his command to redouble their efforts.
Light Capital Ship Veteran: Having served for over three decades on light capital ships such as corvettes, frigates, and cruisers, Felix is highly knowledgable in how to effectively use these craft in battle.
WEAKNESSES
Old Bones: Felix’s body isn’t what it once was. He lacks the physical strength or stamina to win a fight with most healthy adult Humans or humanoids.
Honest to a Fault: Felix is practically pathologically incapable of lying. His brutal honesty is often not appreciated by his superior officers, which has contributed to his relatively slow rate of promotion over his long naval service. Furthermore, Felix’s well-conditioned honesty makes him highly susceptible to interrogation.
HISTORY
Felix Yorwell was born on Obredaan in 846 ABY, the first son of a wealthy cortosis tycoon and a colonel of the planetary garrison. Raised with immense luxury and privilege, Felix was spoiled by his parents and soon became a spoiled, arrogant child. After causing a minor scandal at a social function by throwing a tantrum, his parents decided that what the young boy needed was proper discipline, enrolling him in an elite Kuati boarding school. There, he was gradually able to mature both physically and emotionally, transforming into a highly sociable and popular young teenager. Enamored by the scale of Kuat’s shipbuilding operations and encouraged by his colonel mother, Felix enrolled in the planetary naval academy as soon as he turned sixteen. Thanks to his family connections, he was able to secure a coveted role in the junior officer’s program, graduating at age twenty with the qualifications needed to become a lieutenant in most galactic navies.
Influenced by the military background of his mother and the traditional discipline instilled in him at Kuat, Felix decided to enlist with the rising New Imperial Order, taking command of a corvette as his first official posting. Over the next three decades, he served in the navies of the New Imperial Order, Task Force Citadel, the Empire of the Lost, and finally the Imperial Confederation, where he attained his current rank of commodore.
