- ElectroMag Defense Unit: Each scattergun comes installed with a MIL-GRADE ElectroMag Defense Unit, provided by Nakaioma. This device protects the weapons from electromagnetic pulse attacks.
- Vent & Coolant System: In order to keep the scattergun cool, there are a number of heat-vents situated around the gun as well as coolant which is positioned in the stock of the weapon.

- DAMAGE-DEALER: As the weapon is a railgun, paired with the FDS MagShell it can cause a considerable amount of damage, sending eighteen Mullinine pellet balls at it target with significant speed. The barrel of the rifle is exceptionally long as the shells load into the rear of the weapon, meaning it can achieve a significantly higher velocity than other, smaller rifles. The weapon is perfect for close-quarters engagements, however are much less effective at range.
- CAPACITY: Around 15 MagShells can be loaded into the weapon, fourteen in the internal rack, seven each side; and one in the manual loading chamber at the rear-right of the weapon.
- EMP-PROTECTION: The weapon comes installed with a MIL-GRADE ElectroMag Defense Unit, which is designed to protect the weapon against EMP attacks.
- OVERHEATING: The battery within the weapon is prone to overheating and may combust if the weapon runs out of coolant or is overused.

Designed & manufactured as a high-end weapon system, each scattergun is particularly expensive to both purchase and repair. As a result, the user is provided with a reliable, capable and deadly rifle that is useful in almost any situation.
As the weapon is a high-end system, each scattergun has a Nakaioma ElectroMag Defence Unit installed which protects the weapon from electromagnetic pulse attacks, a necessity for a weapon that requires a power-pack to operate. Upon firing, the weapon emits a whine-like noise, akin to the sound of travelling fireworks.
Additionally, upon a round exiting the weapon, a number of sparks are produced from the barrel of the weapon. The design team has referred to this effect colloquially as the "Dragon's Breath", and is a unique side-effect to the weapon's overall design. Users witnessing this unexpected blast have compared to being similar in appearance to plasma-based weapons, though the design of the FDS-15S bears no semblance whatsoever.
