OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: Mid-twenties
  • Force Sensitivity: Knight
  • Species: Mesinis’Kaita (Sith Changeling)
  • Appearance: Inanna once described her as a "drowned albino mouse". Faya is small and plain with elfin, almost androgynous features. Beneath the stern set of her pale brow are the milky white eyes that mark her as a Sith Changeling. Given her shapeshifting abilities, her appearance can vary somewhat. She typically poses as an attractive, elegantly dressed Echani maiden with short white hair.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Faya
  • Loyalties: Herself | Tentatively, her fellow Sithspawn
  • Wealth: Some savings, but current income is in flux. May be either homeless or staying in a sanctuary.
  • Notable Possessions:
  • Skills: Faya's skills as a shapeshifter are above average for her species, and she is able to take on just about any humanoid form. She received Sith training, achieving the level of Knight.
  • Personality: Extremely reserved and introverted. Doesn't like to talk about the past. Full of longings that can never be fulfilled. Ultimately a tragic character.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Lightsaber/The Force
  • Combat Function: Falls into the category of Jedi Sentinel, seen as a balanced class between the martial and the spiritual.
Strengths:
  • Limited Shapeshifting: She can turn into various humanoid forms.
  • Social Butterfly: Since this is a species requirement, I have to put it in here. But Faya has actually turned out pretty antisocial. She can put up a veneer of charm and friendliness, but in reality she has a stiff, abrasive personality and suffers from feelings of superiority.
  • Lightning Fast Reflexes: Exactly what it sounds like. She's also pretty quick on his feet.
  • Goldfish Eye: She can see in both infrared and ultraviolet. Just like a goldfish.
  • Manipulative: While she isn't physically imposing, she can emotionally manipulate others to some degree - but her puppeteering usually only works on the naïve, ignorant, and weak-minded.
  • Don't Underestimate Her: She's stronger and more capable than she seems, at least when it comes to sheer willpower and determination.
Weaknesses:
  • Limited Shapeshifting: She can't increase or decrease her mass all that much, so shifting into a Hutt or a Croke is out of the question. The transformation is always painful, and if she is knocked unconscious or loses concentration, she will revert back to her natural form. Just going to sleep in an unfamiliar place caused her quite a bit of trouble in the past.
  • Low Stamina: She can't handle long periods of exertion. Doesn't have the stamina for it.
  • Bag of Bones: Those delicate bones poking through her pale skin are fragile and easily broken. She also bruises easily and can't take too many hits in a fight.
  • Blinded by the Light: The goldfish eye is more sensitive to light.
  • Off-Brand Lucidum Tapetum: In a situation where she needs to use her special inner eye to see special stuff, she can't hide it with shifting. So like, if she wanted to see ultraviolet light, but she also didn't want to let on that she had such an ability to the person(s) she's with... oh well. Get caught or get wrecked, take your pick girl.
  • Slick: She thinks that if she gets someone else to do a bad or unpleasant thing instead of doing it herself, thereby avoiding responsibility for evil actions, it is somehow better.
  • Endless Love: Her view of her creator is... complicated. Like a child with a neglectful parent, she desperately wanted to be noticed by Vandiir, to the point where she would do wild and reckless things in a bid to gain his affection. Her loyalty to him was misplaced, as he was never be able to give her what she craved. Now Vandiir has been dead for years, and she still clings to her feelings towards him. Perhaps in time she will be able to let go, but it doesn't look like that'll be happening anytime soon.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Faya used to be somebody. That's the case with virtually all of her kind, who were bioengineered in a lab using a combination of science and alchemy. Her memories of her past life were erased, her identity lost. She no longer remembers where she came from, what her parents were like, who or even what she was.

The blank slate was soon filled in by life as one of Vandiir's Sithspawn minions. He gave her the name "Faya", fitting for such a strange little creature. Seeing him as something between a father and a god, she sought to always remain in his good graces.

This desire has led to many a moral conundrum. The only other person in the galaxy who she gave a damn about, her "brother" and fellow Sith Changeling Pygar, wanted to defect. He confided in her his dreams of leaving the Sith Empire behind, traveling somewhere far away and starting a new life. Faya listened to him in silence, entertaining even his fantasies of ruining Vandiir, but in secret she chafed against this disloyal talk and plotted to be rid of him. There could be no traitor in their midst, not on her watch. But despite her convictions, she couldn't bring herself to betray Pygar, one of her few close friends.

Instead, she tried to set him up. After a Sith-Imperial diplomat named Inanna Hoole visited Vandiir's nightclub and approached the two of them, she convinced Pygar to ask for her help in escaping. Inanna, being low in the hierarchy and presumably eager to advance, was supposed to play along until she could report him to the authorities. Instead, Inanna begrudgingly agreed to help smuggle Pygar out. Faya seethed and grit her teeth at this unexpected turn of events, but she continued to play along in order to save face, even going so far as to help Pygar break into Tower Vandiir. She thought he was looking for information on his past identity, but in reality he stole a bunch of data from Vandiir's personal computer.

To atone for both their mistakes, Vandiir sent both Inanna and Faya to Lao-mon, where they were tasked with destroying the incriminating data. To ensure their mission's success, Faya was made to play host to a Dark Side demon, which was to be used as a last resort. By this point there was no love lost between Inanna and Faya, who bickered constantly throughout the journey. As Inanna began to have second thoughts, the demon took action, leaving Faya unconscious in a speeder while it attempted to reach the datachip. It instead got absorbed into a shield talisman, but that's a whole other story for another time.

In fact, we're going to have to skip ahead quite a bit, to the recent fall of the Sith Empire.
