- City Name: Falleen Throne
- Classification: Metropolis
- Location: Falleen
- Affiliation: Xazzex Xivar, Empress; Confederacy of Independent Systems
- Population: Heavy
- Demographics: Predominantly Falleen with a relatively small percentage of alien species. The Falleen prefer to keep their own company or that of the few alien species able to display considerable discipline and cunning. Anyone lacking in the eyes of the indigenous lifeform often finds work difficult to come by and a government that scarcely acknowledges they exist.
- Wealth: Wealthy - Falleen's industrial sector grew tremendously over time, and as a result the planet as a whole has maintained a strong supply of credits by locating additional resources off-world, and manufacturing safe and dangerous materials or resources. Pursuit of countless legal ventures throughout the galaxy, and a long and storied history with illicit activities has also brought credits, connections, and renown as a people of cunning and ambition.
- Stability: High - Immigration of non-Falleen species are carefully screened, processed, and documented. Anyone found on Falleen having flouted their immigration laws are punished severely. Likewise, the vigilant members of local law enforcement are always monitoring for anyone that disturbs the peace by exhibiting uncontrolled or outlandish behavior. As a result, law enforcement is known to 'disproportionately accost' non-Falleen sentients the most as few other cultures demand the same stringent social behavior as the Falleen. Regardless of species, however, all criminals will find Law Enforcement and Military Personnel alike conducting formal investigations to be a most unwelcome presence -- their concern is not with appearances, but in fact and swift resolution.
- Freedom & Oppression:
Falleen Law Enforcement is not sympathetic toward criminals. However, the law is often quite lax provided the crime is not committed against other Falleen, or those employed by or guests of other Falleen. Provided a member of society is able to refrain from disturbing the peace, littering, acts of violence or vandalism, burglery, larceny, rape, or murder you can often avoid legal entanglements or even talk your way out of something being put on the books. Public appearance and order are paramount in Falleen society.
Political dissention is not openly suppressed by the Falleen government. Like everything else political on Falleen, however, it is often quietly manipulated, destabilized, and/or discredited. If someone plans on starting a "movement" on Falleen they had best have a keen intellect and a sharp tongue -- blades and blasters will convince no one of anything (other than such a person is a threat worth being shot in the street by Law Enforcement).
- Description: Falleen Throne is the central hub of political and economic activity on Falleen. A great deal of industry and finance flows in and out of the city, while the Court seeks to ensure the prosperity of their world both short- and long-term.
The Market District

The Entertainment District
While a great deal of entertainment opportunities can be found throughout the city, the Entertainment District is well known for having the most luxurious, most expensive, and most exotic of all kinds of cantinas, clubs, venues, and shows. While you may find some Falleen acting likes fools, you will also find more upstanding members sneering at their behavior. However, there are certain social allowances for Falleen to be performers or participants in certain entertainment formats -- such as theater -- that if done on the street would be looked down upon. That said while prostitution is legal it is not acceptable for a Falleen to engage in openly -- such matters quite discretion and as such the prostitutes are often well paid.
The Finance District

Atleen Art Gallery
A prestigious art galley in Falleen Throne hosting some of the planet's greatest works of art. At times even a traveling exhibit or collections amassed by the Nobility may be put on display here for the discerning and well-to-do connoisseur of fine art.
The Bio-Chemical District
Despite the galaxy's reliance on bacta, research into new medical procedures or substances continues in the Throne's Bio-Chemical District. Here you may find some practices that have not been fully vetted by the galactic community, with some desperate to be allowed permission to land desperate for might very well be as lethal as the condition it's intended to treat. While the ruling government does tend to receive letters regarding deplorable practices rumored to be conducted by Falleen researchers, the Monarchy and the Noble Houses have seemingly taken no action in response.
The Court & Central Control

Meanwhile, in the upper levels of the structure resides Central Control -- a facility dedicated to monitoring and guiding all air and space traffic around both the city and to coordinate with satellite branches throughout Falleen. In the even suspicious or hostile activity is detected, Central Control will dispatch the appropriated armed personnel to investigate and if necessary suppress any unlawful behavior.
The War College
The War College is an expansive compound within Falleen Throne's boundaries were dutiful men and women hone their skills prepared to defend their planet at any cost. Education in battle strategy, tactics, weapons, and vehicles are provided at length and with little tolerance for ambivalence or complaint. Few outsiders would say they would be eager to train under the sometimes brutal direction of the College's instructors. Falleen soldiers, however, are without a doubt a truly efficient and ruthless force to be reckoned with.
The Industrial District

Despite the passage of time, however, this District has retained its status as a vital part of the local economy. Its ability to produce almost any material, substance, chemical, or product allows Falleen to satisfying a great deal of demand by the galactic community. Production of items outlawed or barred by other governments can often be found being manufactured for shipment off-world here.
The White District
In 856 ABY the Confederacy of Independent Systems provided considerable financial support in cleaning up the former Yellow District and establishing a refined and extravagant square. The open venue was filled with fountains and polished marble; it glowed beneath the sun with dutiful Falleen ensuring it remained a shining tribute of what they could accomplish together. Naturally opposing factions view this accomplishment through convenient lenses -- some promoting the Falleen while others suggesting cooperation with outsiders may prove beneficial. The idealists are not gaining a great deal of traction, though the Nobles are mindful that movements begin slowly as they had set several in motion in the galaxy themselves.
Regional & City Transportation

Gateway to Noble & Palace Grounds
While there are several ways in and out of the Noble District, there is one Main Gate that marks the boundary between the rest of the city and the Nobles. This archway spans the gap between two towering buildings with plenty of space for rooms and monitoring stations. While Central Control manages even security for the Noble District, this Gateway and its dedicated personnel are closer and can respond faster in the event of an emergency involving the Noble Houses. A dedicated security force of some of Falleen's finest can be found stationed along the perimeter and within the District to ensure their security.
Laying further beyond the bulk of Noble Houses is the winding canyon that leads to the Forbidden Palace. This Gateway is the fastest and most direct route to the mountainous path that serves as the only authorized means of approaching the secluded sanctuary.
The Noble District
The Noble Houses often own land elsewhere on Falleen and abroad, however the most wealthy or influential of them all often retain a presence here in the Falleen Throne. Weather this is to remind others of their presence or serve as one of their more lived at residences, diligent servants will be found at even the least of these compounds. The streets are clean, there is not the ever-present noise of a bustling city, and at times you might even mistake one of these Houses as being out in the country if it were not for the towering Skyscrapers within sight.
The Forbidden Palace

At times Nobles or other sentients may be invited to join the Monarch here at the Palace out of sight from any one else. What occurs there is often cause for speculation among those left out. What deals or information might be exchanges in such secrecy?
Security in the region surrounding the Palace is carefully managed by the Gateway and Central Control with numerous defense batteries ready to shoot down anyone attempting to pass over the mountain tops.
Monument - Shrine of the Ancestors
By the hard work and devotion of those that came before is the wealth and luxury of Falleen possible. It would do a disservice to their sacrifices to be forgotten. Many Falleen enjoy the carefully groomed pathways of the Shrine grounds winding between a diverse assort of native flora. The soft bubbling brook that sweeps through often affords peace of mind and a chance for a patient soul to let go of their everyday burdens for a time. Services are offered by those that have dedicated themselves to maintaining the shrine for the good of Falleen everywhere, extolling the virtues of pursuing every advantage and not succumbing to their base desires as so many other sentients were prone to do.
Monument - Heart of Falleen

As a shining beacon of what ingenuity, cunning, and determination can bring about for all Falleen, many enjoy the well-secured visitor paths around and even through the facility. Security is understandable tight, and inappropriate behavior is not tolerated in the slightest.
SECURITY
High - Falleen Throne possesses a number of defensive and offensive measures. Its size necessities such a large number and variety, as the attack surface of such a target is difficult to control versus that of a relatively contained military base. As the heart and soul of Falleen, its defense is paramount not only for the survival of the Nobles, but in sustaining the spirit of resistance and pride of the Falleen as a species.
- Theater Shield - A shield capable of shielding most of the city and practically all of the high-value targets from orbital bombardment.
- Deflector Shields - Localized shield generators supply additional protection against ground-based assault on high-value targets such as Central Control; as well as protecting orbital assault weaponry from attack which often resides outside of the Theater Shield.
- Anti-Orbital Cannons - Situated throughout the nearby region away from Falleen Throne, these cannons serve to dissuade invading fleets from sustained conflict.
- HVs-2 Hypervelocity Guns - These guns supplement the anti-orbital cannons by being more effective against targets with stronger cannon defense. Such emplacements are set just outside of an active Theater Shield perimeter.
- Anti-Aircraft Guns - Installed atop the nearby high-hills or low mountains near Falleen Throne, and near the outer edge of the city's edge, these guns seek to chew through enemy aircraft that might try to fly under the theater shield. These can often be found around high-value targets such as the Noble Houses, Forbidden Palace, and Heart of Falleen.
- Turbolasers - While there is not a tight network of turrets within the city itself, some do exist and are primarily made of turbolasers further bolstering the anti-aircraft defenses.
- Particle Cannon Turrets - Particle Cannons are especially useful in dealing with ground-based vehicles and accompany troop lines due to the splash-damage of these weapons. These turrets are often found along the edge of Falleen Throne to keep the enemy from penetrating into the city proper.
- Mobile and Fixed Barricades to funnel or hinder enemy movement within the city.
- Military Personnel and Vehicles such as tanks and starfighters that can deploy from the War College and other armories or bases in the region.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Falleen Throne has served as the planet's capital since their civilization was founded (or so the history books say) under the First Monarch. Over the centuries, a village became a town, which became a city, and in time a metropolis filled with countless men and women that seek to rise to society's expectations of them. Little of this growth came easily. As recent as eight-hundred years ago Falleen suffered from extensive pollution resulting from rapid growth of their industrial sector. Yet despite any hardships suffered by their desire of self-sufficiency and influence, the people of both the city and their world bore it well and only because of their sacrifices has Falleen Throne become the beacon of success for all Falleen.
For most of the planet's history -- and subsequently the city -- Falleen has chosen to stand alone confident in its ability to remain self-sufficient or broker its own partnerships. Not even after the Yuuzhan Vong laid siege to their world, or when the One Sith sought to obliterate their world, did the Falleen consent to bowing to any outside government. That very same pride in their own identity remains true today despite recent events. One of the more recent being the little known truth of what is now regarded as a 'weak' Monarch accepting the Confederacy of Independent Systems' offer for alliance; those that removed them in favor of a legitimate, but stronger authority still hold firmly to Falleen being for Falleen. As such, Falleen Throne to this day remains largely Falleen in population (not counting those passing through or used as laborers).
More recently, whispers of the Leviathan Ring being run by Falleen Noble Houses -- like the Black Sun of old -- have begun to surface. As do stories of the Rings' members being seen here or there. Suspected members watchful of opportunities that might otherwise be passed over; while many laws or standards appear loose, there remains much risk when working with off-world parties and not all can be followed up on through legitimate channels.
Few are truly aware of the Leviathan Ring's influence, however. Under Xazzex Xivar they have effectively become the third branch of government alongside the Military Commander and Planetary Steward (Governor) that oversees domestic affairs whenever the Empress is called away as Viceroy of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
