Fake another death and I'll strangle you [Jak]

"Well, yeah. What the hell do you think I used on the field before I was allowed to make myself a lightsaber? A training saber? That crap could hardly cut through paper, much less a nutjob aiming for my head" He remarked, rolling his eyes. "I was given a sword as a gift, it's at home now since I use my lightsaber" He would explain.

"So.... Again, tell me why you did that?" He would remark. "I can hide my presence in the Force, it's a common trick, especially for someone who knows the Current and can hide their presence entirely using it. But I can still use the Force just fine when I need to, I just can't hide it when I'm doing that"

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Well, being suppressed helps, when you're unconscious, too distracted, and have never been taught a minute in the light side ways of the Force," Jak said dryly. "And I like to interchange sword with blade. Mix it up. It's fun. By the way, have you ever seen a helmet smashed in with the blunt side of a sword before?"

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"Well, it's not my fault you never asked to be trained as a Jedi so you could do some actual good in your life" Joshua would joke with a laugh. "I never recruited you because you never expressed any interest in doing anything besides helping yourself and your own gains. Didn't think it was worth trying because I knew you'd complain" He added, with a chuckle. "So... Not my fault you weren't taught a minute of it, that was a decision you made, Jak"

"As for the helmet thing... No, but I've sliced through someone's helmet before. Does that count?"

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Nah, I just found it interesting that I never really met any other light-siders... The criminal only got caught by the bad guys. Is that irony? ...no?"

"Also, actually, could I? Some time in the future, I need to get some cash, but some time? Could you train me, mercilessly, without any regard as to why or how I might get hurt?"

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"Well, what am I, chopped liver?" The Jedi would remark, with mock offense in his voice. "I'm light sided... I think. Kind of hard to classify, I guess, but I don't usually strangle people, unless it's you and you karking leave me hanging for nearly two years and you're STILL lucky I didn't just kick you out the airlock... So I guess I'm light sided" He added with a shrug.

"And... I only can train official Jedi, Jak. That's the rule" He added with a sigh. "Otherwise I'm just training a potential Sith or a potential enemy, and I get in chit for that.... Even then, I don't really train people anymore, only give minor lessons. I haven't taken a Padawan in a long time"

"Wait, so you're saying you get kicked out, shamed, and they can still tell you what to do? Geez... see, that's one of the reasons I don't like the Jedi. Or the Sith, for that matter. Why can't they have something in between?"

"Oh, man, don't bring up the enemy thing again," Jak sighed. "You know what? That was another reason I didn't talk; I didn't know how it was gonna go over. And yes, 'So why now all of a sudden?' ... the Force told me so?"

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"Well, that was the Republic's Jedi Order. But I can still get in chit with the Silver Sanctum, who I'm hanging out with loosely these days" He would correct. "The Republic one DID interrogate me recently though. One of their masters wanted my masterhood taken away because I ended up on the wrong side of a hug from a darksider who I didn't know was one, but they can't do that so they just interrogated me. But yeah, Thurion can still chew me out for doing bad chit, and I don't feel like having the trouble" He would remark with a shrug.

"What do you mean, you wouldn't know how it'd go over?" He asked. "You a Fringe spy now?"

[member="Jak Sandrow"]

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"You'd still be at the level of a Master, though, right? If you got demoted? It wouldn't lock down your Force abilities or anything?" And it was at these times Jak's ignorance really shone through.

"No... I was talking about with you. How it would go over with you, having spoken once since that... incident."

"And I am not a spy, and you can check for that quite easily."

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"No? It'd just be them being dicks. And the Sanctum and everywhere else would still consider me a Master" He remarked. "I earned it, they can't take it, even if I went Sith and then came back I'd still be a Master" He would add.

"And yeah. I know. Not that I wanted to be in that Fringe war anyway. It's actually funny that I ended up having to diplomat that singlehandedly" He remarked with a laugh. "Seriously. I'm no Supreme Chancellor, yet I was the only one on the Republic side trying to talk to the Fringe and get this peace going. I'm a bloody Jedi, for petes sake!"

Jak shook his head and finished off his drink. "The Jedi - in my opinion, from when I saw them last - aren't really much more than glorified bloodthirsty saber swingers. And I could probably get my head sliced off by them for that. Which would actually only prove my point."

"I mean, there are nasty, horrible Jedi, and there are really, really nice Sith. Like Circe, she only wanted to love... except she backstabbed me, left me for dead twice, never bothered about me, and I realize that was a horrible comparison."

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"That's because the Jedi you've met have mostly been from the Order that stabbed me in the back" He remarked flatly as he took a big swig of his drink. "But not all Jedi are like that. Why do you think I usually run on my own, or hang out with the Sanctum? They haven't done me any wrong, why should I judge them because a select group were a couple of dicks?" Josh would lecture with a shrug. "Doesn't help that the ones who got me impeached were all Sith anyway for the most part"

"Yeah... Pretty bad comparison" He remarked. "Circe wasn't nice at all. Just manipulative, used people... Used you, used me... And then backstabbed us when she was done with us. She's like most other Sith. You get that less in Jedi at the very least"

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Meh. The line is blurry, regardless of which side of it you're on."

"So, quick question for you," Jak asked, mildly curious. "Would I make a better Jedi, or a better Sith?"

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"Let me ask you one" He responded. "Are you willing to backstab someone, no matter who it is, and kill them in cold blood just because you want power? Even if they have a family, even if that means you have to use that family against them because of your selfish desires?" He would ask Jak, raising an eyebrow.

"Can you kill without remorse and then kill their children too?" He would ask bluntly, looking him dead in the eyes.

[member="Jak Sandrow"]

The Jedi would smirk in response. "If not... Then Jedi. Absolutely Jedi" He said, before looking him dead in the eye.

"I know who the Sith is that Circe had backstabbed you for... I know him well. His name is Kaine Zambrano. He killed two friends of mine" He spoke with a hint of malice in his tone. "He kidnapped one of their twins from the hospital not long after they were born, and used Sith Alchemy to change their body and age, to make them a mindless soldier to serve under him, and then set him on their own parents. Then he tried to do... Terrible, sexual things to the mother... And then... And then he killed the mother, and then the father... Both friends of mine, leaving the remaining child homeless. Both of them were fellow Jedi. So tell me again why you asked your question?"

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"No... I know it was Kaine," Jak said, shrugging carelessly. "She told me. After she died, y'know."

"I asked the question," he steeled himself, "because I wouldn't hesitate to kill for the right reason. To save a planet, wipe out this group of orphans? Done. See that family over there? Yeah, the ones who are newly wed. Kill them, or we can't have peace in this galaxy. Done." He raised his hands helplessly. "Aren't the Jedi all about peace and tranquility, or some chit like that?"

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"My point exactly" Josh would remark, with a sigh. "You think the Sith care about the right reasons? Their goal is all for themselves. Nothing more. Nothing less. If there's an orphanage with a kid that happens to be the son of a Republic soldier? They're going to blow up the orphanage. If a father has something the Sith want, that has some kind of power, and isn't willing to hand it over? They'll kill the man's 3 toddlers in front of him, slowly, via torture, until he hands it over. And then kill him and his wife for good measure. They don't care about peace in the galaxy... They care about controlling it, ruling under an iron fist, and doing whatever they want. The control to do what they want, kill whoever they please, take what they want, destroy what they want... Absolute power. That's all they care about"

"As for the Jedi..." He said, taking a breath. "We're peacekeepers, yes. Not all of them get the memo, but that's the idea. I just came here from a planet with six slave rings, that I spent two months liberating slaves from and disbanding the rings. What have you done in the last two months?"

[member="Jak Sandrow"]

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Peacekeepers, or peacemakers?" Jak asked pointedly, but the edge wasn't there.

"For the last two months, I have been growing stronger in the Force, training the hell out of my abilities, but not much besides that. If it'll make you happy, I'll go and I'll bring a smuggler to justice, would that make you feel better?"

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"Depends on who you deal with" He remarked with a chuckle. "But their intentions are still good. Most of them anyway. I really do wish all of them knew how to do the Jedi thing right, but nothing's perfect in this world" He would add with a sigh.

He nodded in response to his answer. "I'll do you one better. I have a lead on a slave ring on Kashyyykk. When I go, wanna come?"

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
"Mm." Jak put the drink down and nodded, swallowing. "That sounds like fun. Hit me up when you get there."

"In the meantime," he asked, "what happened when I was gone? Last I remember, there were zombies, and then the Sith were overturned twice - so that puts them back on their feet, apparently?"
