DESCRIPTION
The EX-1 Pathfinder is IFK's answer to a galaxy in chaos - systems moving, new planets coming up out of nowhere, hyperlanes being obliterated and new ones arising, entire clusters shifting across the Galactic map - cartographers, adventurers, explorers, and pioneers were going to be needed to map out this bold new galaxy, and they were going to need a ship. Built in the image of the venerable Loronar E-9 Explorer, the Pathfinder is an entirely new animal with a power-dense spine, hyperspectral dish based on the IGV-55's suite, and a lightning-fast hyperdrive. In short: a corvette-sized surveyor designed to plan routes, hop systems, scout planets, and calculate hyperlanes faster than any other ship in its class.

Several systems turn this ship into the perfect ship for these bold voyagers. A small, ventrally-mounted probe-droid launcher can deploy 6 of any suitably sized probe droids, allowing a close look at planets, debris fields, or environments too dangerous for the ship's crew. Eight modular rack collars in the ship's cargo bay allow for laboratory pods, covert cargo bays, quick-deployment hyperspace beacons, emergency medical suites, or any number of other modular systems, giving each captain the freedom to tailor the Pathfinder to the mission at hand.

With a crew of up to 4 and room for 4 mission specialists, enough consumables to facilitate long, arduous missions, and speed that makes outrunning threats the preferred solution, the EX-1 is a prestige tool for survey guilds, frontier-minded explorers, and daring treasure hunters who'd rather blaze the route than follow a star map.
