Everything Was The Same (Rasu Gan)

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Nothing is ever set in stone..
She snapped awake, sitting up in her bed as she panted heavily, twin beads of sweat trailing down both sides of her face. The night had been restless, and waking the way she did only seemed to confuse her. Sliding from the center to the edge of the bed, her feet swinging off to meet the floor as she sighed. The pounding of her head causing a deep groan as her hands reached up to rub at her temples. It was strange, the sensation she had. In a way, she felt confused, lost even. Many of her memories were fuzzy, the last complete clear thought she remembered being the encounter she'd had with one of her closest friends. While most would be alarmed at such things, Aika was well aware of why she'd felt the way she did.
Her eyes danced about the room, gaze falling upon her pants and small, sleeveless black top. It would take her but a few moments to slip into the pants and pull the top over her head. From looking, she knew it seemed like it would be tight, but this was a bit much. The top stopped just below her chest, leaving her entire midriff bare. In all, the outfit seemed to hug in her in seemingly every way, which only made her face turn a pinkish hue. Slipping her feet into her black boots before exiting her room.
For a good bit, she simply wandered about the temple, no true destination in mind. Eventually, her aimless wandering put her at the entrance to the temple. A deep exhale escaped her lips as she ventured outside, arms crossed just under her chest. She would venture down a few of the stairs before dropping down and taking a seat. Even with the consistent pounding of her head, the morning wind seemed to calm her and the beauty of Voss only served to relax her further. Her eyes gazed out, head shaking slightly.
Is this what I wanted?..

In and out. A steady rhythm the Shi'ido maintained as she focused purely on her breathing. Here under the night sky, it was easy to center one's self with the absence of the clutter and distractions present during the day. For this reason, Rasu found herself sitting cross-legged amongst the Voss landscape, the silhouette of the Temple resting behind her. The trip outside to the Temple outskirts had now become almost an instinctual routine; the past few weeks having seen Rasu venturing out to meditate and rest. It was a small gift, that the Jedi Master could be grateful for; a portion of what Voss had to offer.

However it seemed that tonight would be an exception to the Shi'ido's daily isolation. Rasu's eyes opened and broke concentration as she sensed a familiar presence grow close. Rising to her feet, her eyes darted towards the temple. The dark, slender form stood out against the light emanating from the entrance, as the silhouette made her way down along the path. Taking flight also, Rasu approached the lone figure.

"What brings you out here Aika at this time of the night? Are you too searching for some solace from the temple?" she asked, making herself known to the other woman. A smile plastered her face, as she greeted her dear friend.

Aika Kawakami

Ear and head perked at the sound of the all two familiar voice. Images of the encounter from that fateful day flashed before her eyes, as if something was reminding her of what had happened between the two. Aika rose to her feet, arms crossed just under her chest as if trying to keep her self warm. She proceeded down the final few stairs, moving forward to meet the woman. It left as if every step she took brought hr closer to some kind of danger. Her heart rate rapidly began increasing, a tingle working its way up and down her body. It felt like an eternity before they finally stood together, face to face.

"Solace... I'm not quite sure if that's it.." Her head shook slowly as she stared at the green woman she'd known for ages. Exhaling deeply, one of her hands fell from her body, reaching to grab hold of your Rasu's. "It's been a while... A long while, since we spoke, or since we even stood this close without it feeling like there was something between us. That said, do you remember? You know, that day, at the Temple on Coruscant when you came all the way from Ossus?.. I think we need to talk about that day, about everything behind it.."
