Born in a village just on a minor planet, the young boy's first few years were spent in relative peace and comfort. The vagaries of war tore through the village and most of the land. The father was slain, the mother fled with her daughters, leaving the boy to fend for himself, lost in the chaos of battle and slaughter. He never saw his mother or sisters again. Soon enough, he became a slave.
For many years hence, life was cold and hard. He became a thief, and a brigand, though at first just to survive. In time, he was a hardened killer. Life became a hunt. Then war came once more, and his size and strength was noted. Conscripted to fight, he killed where he was told. He fought long and hard, killing many men on the field. His side lost, and despite his resistance, he was taken captive. After killing several of his guards, his captors chose to keep him chained in a pit. He was brought out at first only to fight. As he fought well, he was given time out of the pit. He was given better food, and eventually women.
War came again, and his new captors had no use for a chained pit fighter. He was imprisoned in a great stone gaol, along with hundreds of other men. It was here that he first heard tell of the Sith. Another prisoner, a tattooed brute who was far older, told the tales in the dark. He explained that humanity had been tricked. The gods had played them all. There was a true power. A Dark Power. The young man listened to the tales, and he felt the power of the Dark Side's hand.
He began to believe, and everything changed forever. He gave himself wholesale to his desires, and what he desired was to be free of the prison.
