- One cracker provides an average humanoid with their daily nutritional requirements.
- The crackers in question have a shelf life well beyond the average lifespan of a humanoid.
- The crackers are exceptionally cheap to make on an industrial scale(fractions of a credit per package) and provide adequate nutrition to people in practically every environment. They can also essentially survive forever.
- The crackers have basically no flavor whatsoever and are almost guaranteed to need some other food to go with them if someone wants some sort of flavor. Decades-old crackers may also be a bit crumbly when taken out of the package.
Taking advantage of the tremendous stockpiles of nutrient-enriched grains grown on the world of Ool after her conquest of the planet within Maw space, Onrai's scientists worked to create a foodstuff capable of fulfilling the average sentient's nutritional needs in a small package while remaining in storage practically indefinitely, to be drawn upon as a strategic resource. Thus was born the Eternity Cracker - a cracker capable of fulfilling daily nutritional needs for most sentient beings that could survive the harshest environments and remain edible without decay for many, many years. Realizing the commercial appeal of the crackers, they were offered to the commercial market as well.
