---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :

 • Venomous - Eske’s race of Arachneri possess a venomous bite used to paralyze their prey. The venom is injected through long, hooked fangs. It is strong enough to fell a full grown bantha in about 20 minutes to an hour depending upon how much is injected and how large the beast is. Most normal humans succumb to the venom within 30 minutes.

 • Strength - While her human portion is considerably strong for its stature, it is her arachnid portion that wields the full strength, easily overpowering full grown humans in a hunt.

 • Speed / Reaction Time - Due to the guard hairs covering her exoskeleton Eske is capable of sensing and reacting to the tiniest of infraction of air displacement and vibrations. Her entire frame is hypersensitive to these things, making her nearly impossible to sneak up on when all 8 legs are planted.

 • Natural Armor - Her exoskeleton provides a light, natural armor that protects against blaster bolts and slug-thrower shots. Repeated assaults against the same area, however, will break down the plating. It also provides some protection against small blades / teeth / claws. It is resilient against blunt force trauma to an extent but not unbreakable. The skin of her human portion is tougher than normal humans but does not offer the same protection as the exoskeleton does.

 • Photographic Memory - Not uncommon for her kind, Eske possesses a memory built for information and image retention. She never forgets a name or a face.

 • Stealthy - Despite their size, Arachneri are experts at moving swiftly and silently. It is part of their natural hunting abilities and in part thanks to the super sensitive hairs covering their exoskeletons - they are capable of moving without disturbing their surroundings and detecting the movement of others, making them formidable killers.

 • Weaver - Eske’s natural spinning silks are nigh strong as durasteel, making her webs quite a permanent fixture and her spinner-sacks very difficult to escape.

 • Colorblind - While not restricted to greyscale, the spectrum of colors Eske can see is rather limited compared to a human. In this manner, camouflage works well against her if you can manage to elude her motion-sensitivity.

 • Frost Bitten - Eske cannot deal with the cold and as the temperature drops she begins to slow down. Pain similar to arthritis will become prominent within her joints which grow more and more stiff the colder it gets. Eventually her body will begin to shut down, focusing the majority of its blood supply into the human portion. If Eske does not find a heat source she will fall into a coma and eventually die.

 • Size - She’s a large gal and requires more space than a human. Traveling within any technological function has proven to be difficult if its not ready to handle one of her stature.

 • Squint - While perfectly capable of seeing in the dark, much like the rest of her ilk Eske has a sensitivity to sudden bright lights. If given the opportunity to adjust - all is usually well. But when suddenly flashed with light it can cause pain, headache, disorientation… strobe lights have been known to cause seizures.

 • Pressure Sensitive - Though Eske has done more traveling than the majority of her kind, travel through space is still something of an ordeal. She has grown accustomed to handling the pressure changes experienced when leaving or entering atmosphere and no longer grows sick. If she goes long periods of time without hyperspace travel it will cause her to grow sick and lethargic. In these cases Eske will usually sleep through it if given the opportunity.

 • Picky Eater - All Arachneri are carnivores but Eske in particular has developed a taste for human meat. She’ll eat other things if human isn’t on the table, but that’s what she prefers.

APPEARANCE:
Though the Basilikarchs are considered the most beautiful of the Arachneri, as a Venoarch Eske holds a certain amount of pride in her own appearance. Her human portion is slim and slender with pale ivory skin and a fit, sinuous “dancer” figure. She has eight eyes, each of which a bright crimson and pupiless, stacked atop one another in two columns of four. Her face is finely sculpted and framed by long lengths of wavy platinum blonde hair. She has full, pink lips that cover a mouth of sharpened teeth, including a set of venomous fangs.

Eske’s arachnid portion consists of a robust abdomen supported by eight long, sturdy legs. White in color, the underside has a pinkish hue while her legs end in black tarsus tips. This entire portion of her body is covered in white guard hairs that while soft to the touch are hyper-sensitive to vibrations and changes/fluctuations in the air as well as temperature.

In rare social settings Eske dons what she refers to as her travel skirt spun and woven using her own silk. This not only adds a layer of protection to her arachnid portion but covers it up in order to seem less imposing and frightening.

Generally Eske wears no clothing when in her own den and even when traveling or wearing her skirts she typically does not cover up her human portion. Her hair is long enough to cover her breasts, but more often than not they are bare. Because she is not human Eske does not feel tethered to their customs of dress and modesty.

She wears a black headpiece crafted for her by a repeat mate several years ago. It serves not only to designate her as a prime mating Queen, but also to keep her hair out of her face while she’s reading. It’s the thoughtful things that count.

BIOGRAPHY:

Born and raised on Kashyyyk, Eske entered the galaxy prepared and trained for the dangers and wilds space had to offer. She's spent her entire life traversing the stars as a once slave turned Mercenary turned Assassin. Over the years she's grown a collection of information and trinkets and eventually settled in One Sith space in order to raise her first progeny.

As a mother Eske has birthed seven offspring - only three of which survived into maturity and now are off making their own lives. Having unofficially retired from her days as an Assassin, Eske now spends her days burrowing deep into the catacombs of a long abandoned and crumbling citadel on Byss where she weaves her web throughout the endless tunnels to catch her curious and unsuspecting prey. Within the citadel herself she has put together an archives of the things she's collected over the years.
