STRENGTHS

• Anti-Fighter Extraordinaire: Mixed with homing missiles and fast tracked batteries, the Escolta-Class is designed to eliminate the threat of enemy fighter craft to a fleet.
• Small Time Escort: The Escolta-Class packs a reasonably high compliment of fighters with it, given its comparative size.

WEAKNESSES

• Low Powered Armament: The armament of the Escolta-Class is limited in regards to firepower capacity. While it carries a sizeable weapons compliment, these are underpowered considering its size.

DESCRIPTION
The Escolta-Class is designed to be a dedicated support vessel in engagements, fitting the mould as a standardised anti-fighter, micro-carrier. The Escolta-Class' weapons have been specialised to engage enemy fighter combatants, using a mixture of fast tracked mounts for its guns, and homing missiles. On top of that, the Escolta carries within its bowels three squadrons of fighter craft, and one support craft squadron.

The Escolta boasts an above average hangar capacity, solid defences in the form of its hull and accoutrements, but also decent speed. Where the vessel falls down is its less than stellar armament, with it incapable of reasonably taking on vessels of its own size and above, but also the maneuvering has suffered as a result. Needless to say, the Escolta is a solid anti-fighter addition to the New Imperial arsenal.
