SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Light electromagnetic Field: Due to this electromagnetic property, this metal is capable of bonding with and thus being coated with the liquid metal Infinium in all its varieties. [X] [X] [X]
STRENGTHS
  • Electromagnetic properties: With having a small amount of magnetite within its composition, this multicomposite alloy has the advantage of having a small electromagnetic field, allowing it not only to bond with metals that usually only remain stable in electromagnetic fields, but also grants vehicles and vessels utilizing this material in its structure and/or plating a strong resistance against EMP and ION attacks.
  • Durable: As part of the Ersteel alloy line up, this material holds itself up to other materials such as durasteel and laminasteel with great aplomb, having amazing rigity and structural strength.
  • Radiation resistant: This material manages to ward off all but the most extremely powerful types of radiation
WEAKNESSES
  • Virtually no sonic resistance: While it has some minimal defense against sonic weaponry, this is mainly just the effect of sound still being slowed a bit by coursing through the metal structure, aside from that though, this decrease or resistance is of such low significance it might just as well not be there to begin with.
  • Not recommended for use in electronics: This metal's innate magnetic field may make calibrating any electronics quite a task, endangering the accuracy of the product. The exception would be utilizing this material as a quarantined outer shell for protection rather than an integral part of the electronics.
DESCRIPTION
For Decades the N&Z has been relying on its Ersteel alloys for the creation of their products, but in recent years, the company has been relying more and more on other materials from other companies, utilizing them because of superior properties or simply because these materials and alloys suited their task better. However, recently, with the creation of the Polycarbonite variations, the N&Z got reinvigorated to expand its own internal material line up. While the intent was not to replace any of the alloys used from other companies, the creation of the Ersteel SLCA was meant to address some of the issues with the original Ersteel compound when it came to its inherent weight. Though in the end the weight wouldn't matter much for ship construction, nevertheless the focus was to utilize a similar composition, but with some modification to the mock up in order to create a much lighter alloy.

The enresult proved to be just that, but the use of magnetite in the alloy ended up with results that could not have been predicted, as the magnetite granted the alloy to have a weak, innate magnetic field, which allowed for the application of the infinium variations on the metal, allowing the infinium which is usually liquid to coat the metal and bond with it, much like how a plastic film can wrap a metal purely by being sealed vacuum. This allows for the Ersteel SLCA to have a much wider range of uses and even compromise some of its flaws or strengthen its already considerable strengths in the process.

Sadly, this magnetic field also made it clear that the use of the SLCA would not be wise when it comes to electronic devices, at least not as part of the internals due to its magnetic field being capable of making calibration near impossible and it also having a downright dangerous effect on conduction as it can result in unpredictable reactions that should be avoided in precision technology such as electronics. As such it has been noted that it is best used as a casing for electronics when given proper isolation, as it would be beneficial in such a case.
