DESCRIPTION
An air-cooled squad automatic weapon. The Erebus' quick swap barrel and select internal components are made of vardium steel to resist thermal buildup. A good thing considering its large amplifying chamber and high-output power cells push out quite a bit of heat alongside its enhanced power. The rest is made from duranium for its strength and lighter weight with select molytex bits for hand comfort.

Loosely based on the old Imperial TL-50, the Erebus is there to provide squads with heavy automatic fire and is capable of charging a concussive shot with a two meter blast radius on impact. Intended to be used by drop troopers and armored infantry troops, the Erebus soon found popularity in the wider Sith Order for its flexibility and sustained firepower. A retractable buttstock and modest barrel are standard to improve tight quarters carrying and stowage. Top mounted, under-barrel, and even side rails allow for an extreme range of choice when it comes to attachments from scopes and secondary weapons to anything a gunner wants for a tactical advantage. That flexibility carries over to easy integration with a wide variety of HUD and sensor systems as well as iron sights if everything else should fail.
