Private (EOTL) Imperial Navy Patrol B7R

Captain Targem slightly shifted in his command chair as the Silver Spear exited hyperspace "All systems reading green sir, Squires are also ready" "Excellent. All ships, Spearpoint formation. Comms, open channel." The ships arranged themselves in a V-formation and soon the comms crackled to life as the patrol group began to prowl the Mid Rim-Outer Rim Border section of the Parlemian Trade Route "Attention all non-Imperial ships, this is captain Traxis Targem of the Imperial Navy, my patrol group will be performing inspections and security operations in this sector. Comply with any orders you are given and this day should go smoothly. Glory to the Empire." as the message went out Captain Targem got up from his seat and walked to the main viewport on the bridge of his ship and allowed himself a slight proud smile

"This is Centares control to Imperial Patrol group. Welcome to the Maldrood sector. On behalf of Admiral-Governor Jovdev Coypin we request to know your orders and how we can be of service," a nasally voice came over Captain Targem's main comm. In the military comm room on Centares Jovdev Coypin waited in his command chair to hear the response. His own patrol group was not very large for sure, but it could handle his corner of Imperial space. He wondered if someone was being sent to check up on him. The Coypin name went a long way on Centares these days, but with so many ups and downs and names and leaders his legacy within the Empire was certainly in question.

The sensor station officer relayed to the Admiral the make up of the patrol group that had arrived in close proximity to Centares. Jovdev gave a nod. Not large enough to be a threat to his holdings, but they could be there as spies or just to do a cursory check of the sector and report on any perceived failures on his part. For now all he could do was wait for his answer, and hope he could trust it. Paranoia had a way of coursing through the veins of all factions that called themselves Empire. Coypin wasn't ready to get defensive quite yet, but he was on alert.

"Greetings Centares Control. We have been tasked to a simple border patrol mission and investigating coming and going ships for smuggled goods. Our orders come from Navy command directly. Don't worry, we'll do our best to stay out of your hair...unless we find heavy illegal activity."

Kriff. Imperials. They came out of hyperspace and formed a spear formation, and broadcasted a signal. Farnir hit the switch, and listened to the announcement.
"Attention all non-Imperial ships, this is captain Traxis Targem of the Imperial Navy, my patrol group will be performing inspections and security operations in this sector. Comply with any orders you are given and this day should go smoothly. Glory to the Empire."
Inspections. Those were never good for smugglers like Farnir and his small five-man crew. The Devaronian turned around to face the others in the cockpit. "Let's get out of here, quickly."

He turned back to the viewport, and to the line of average citizens leaving the planet. This hyperlane would take too long to get to. The Imperials would be here before that time, and Farnir would be caught with his illegal materials.

Farnir maneuvered out of the line, and powered up the throttle all the way. "Naveh, calculate the jump, quickly! To any nearby system," the Devaronian snapped hurriedly. They didn't have much time.

"Captain, we have a small craft pulling away from the area at maximum thrust, orders?" Captain Targem gave a small sigh and gave his command "Squire 1 and 2, deploy TIE Fighters and give that ship a warning. Squire 3 and 4, bombers on standby, Ion payload. Security, have a squad standby to board" Once the order was given the two Gozantis closest to the command ship released their 8 TIE Fighters and the signature fighters of the Empire screamed toward the ship, buzzing just over top of it and slowly looping vertically upward to begin flying directly at the craft "Attention unknown ship, this is your ONLY warning. Power down your engines and prepared to be boarded. You would be wise to do as I say. What is more important, a few paltry credits, or your very lives?" Captain Targem had no wish to kill, but would do what he had to to stop these criminals.
