OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Planet Name: Entemes III
  • Demonym: Entemesian
  • Region: Wild Space
  • System Name: Entemes
  • System Features: System has three uninhabitable tellarian planets, two before Entemes III and one after. Afterwards it has several asteroid belts, followed by two gas giants and another belt.
  • Coordinates: AC-46
  • Major Imports: Droids, luxury goods, minerals.
  • Major Exports: Timber, foodstuffs, spices.
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • Gravity: 1.2X
  • Climate: Tropical
  • Primary Terrain: Jungle, ocean, mountain, felled plains.
  • Atmosphere: Type I
  • Major Locations: Entemes City (the capital of the planet, where most of the big corporations' HQ's are located. Has the only starport on the planet),

POPULATION
  • Native Species: None.
  • Immigrated Species: Humans (80%), Twi'lek (18%), Muun (1%), Other (1%)
  • Population: Sparsely populated. Most of the location
  • Demographics: The planet largely consists of Humans and Twi'lek, with Muun and other races playing a very small role. Humans comprise the near-totality of the upperclasses (with Muun filling out the rest). Twi'leks are almost entirely enslaved, being in horrendous marginalization. The middle-class is largely a small fraction of the population, largely consisting of middle managers and luxury goods producers who satisfy the needs of the upper classes. They are, as with the first class, almost entirely human, with Aznati mercenaries forming a larger group.
  • Primary Languages: GSB, Twi'lek.
  • Culture: The culture of the planet is largely a mix of various human cultures joined together by worship of a political religion called the Church of Humanity, a humanocentrist, pro-capitalist religion designed to justify the class system (similar to Christian Identity as it existed in the pre-Civil-Rights-Act South). Twi'leks have their own culture, mostly one of resistance against slavery. They practice their own mix of pagan religions, ironically labeled heretical by the Church of Humanity.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Oligarchic Republic. The only people entitled to vote are those with money, and they elect a legislature through proportional representation. The legislature, of course, seems to be completely iincapable of passing any meaningful reform, to the point where revolution or counter-revolution are afoot.
  • Affiliation: N/A
  • Wealth: Medium. The oligarchs of the planet hold tremendous wealth, followed by a small but very well-paid middle-class of artisans, executives and managers. The rest of the planet are a bunch of slaves and lumpenproletarians.
  • Stability: Low. Due to the extreme nature of the class system on the planet, the planet is essentially a powder keg just waiting to explode.
  • Freedom & Oppression: While the planet labels itself a place where free-market capitalism is cherished and promoted, in reality, it has an extreme class structure where a small fraction of resource barons and slavers have a near-total control of the society. While there is a small middle-class of well-paid luxury goods dealers, publicans, executives and merchants, the rest of the society consists largely of small workers and slaves. Slavery is the norm, and slaves consist of 37% of the population, with virtually all Twi'leks being in indenture.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: The planet consists of a small land force that seems to spend most of its time pacifying slaves and putting down revolts. The fleet largely consists of a few Star Destroyers and defensive corvettes.
  • Technology: Same as the galaxy.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Entemes system was discovered about two centuries prior to the publishing of this planet creation post by explorers from the Outer Rim. The only habitable planet in the system, Entemes III, was a lush, jungle world full of wild animals and jungles. The explorers then settled the planet, creating several small settlements and trading in wild animals captured from the forests. Eventually, large investors came in and created logging companies, agribusinesses and trading posts. These businesses were largely staffed with droids and slaves living in horrendously marginal conditions. This eventually led to a resource boom, with large amounts of middle-class people coming to the planet. Eventually, this influx led to the creation of the Entemes Legislature, a unicameral directorial republic where only property owners and high-earners were allowed to vote. This, with the need to create a justification for keeping huge amounts of slaves, led to the creation of the Church of Humanity, a political religion designed to justify human supremacy and keep the slaves (mostly Twi'leks) in check. It was open to other "equal races" of various sorts, with Muun and Aznati being considered equal. The oligarchs largely funded private militias to keep the slaves in check, until a standing army was created.

At this point in time, Entemes III is rapidly industrializing, with a new working-class demanding more rights. This will lead to massive instability, with revolution and counter-revolution in the air. Much of the oligarchy seems willing to overthrow the legislature if it moves to challenge their power, whereas the slaves and the working-class will start poodoo disturbing if their rights are infringed.

Apologies for the delay, thanks for your patience.

This is an interesting contribution, I like what you've got so far. Before we can go any further, it would appear you've missed a few fields here. Could you please provide some info on the planet's Demographics and Culture? Tag me when you're ready to go.
