PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Level Player: The Oya'karir does not put all of its eggs in one basket; with high defenses and armament as well as exceptional speed and maneuverability, the gunship is quite the versatile model.
  • Stealth Running: The gunship benefits from several different stealth technologies that allow the Oya'karir to fly undetected.
WEAKNESSES
  • Squadron Count: Each gunship is it's own 'squadron' making it a poor choice as a hangar complement.
DESCRIPTION
Since the dawn of the Mando'ade, individuality has been an important component of Mandalorian culture. Whether they were led by the Neo-Crusaders or Supercommandos, the state was always seen as an alliance of individuals united, not a government with subjects. This doctrine extended into the construction of Mandalorian technology, including their ships. While Mandalorian navies did contain the normal cruisers, Star Destroyers, and even Battlecruisers, Mandalorian naval doctrine placed a heavy emphasis on individual fightercraft. Even during times of relative peace (peace having a different meaning for Mandalorians than most) a warrior almost always had their own ship.

This rag-tag fleet was largely lost in the fall of Mandalore; a number of unique and historic models destroyed by the infernos that consumed the planet. Yet in the evacuation that followed, a number of ships made it from the hellscape that had become Mandalore, one of them being the predecessor model of the Oya'karir. Brought to the Enclave, the model was refurbished with new technology and became the first ship to be produced by the Mandalorian haven; a gunship able to carry a hunter wherever in the galaxy, tough enough to weather any storm and strong enough to punch out of one as well.

It is not a dreadnaught, it is not a battleship. But, like the Enclave itself, it is the various individuals that together make the Enclave and Mandalore strong once more.

The Quartermaster The Quartermaster , I'll be your judge for this submission.

Cloaking devices are only allowed on semi-unique or unique vessels, and this is limited production. Similarly, the stealth shroud is a semi-unique item, meaning that it cannot be made on a limited ship.

Additionally, this ship is one rating over balance.

The easiest solution to all of these problems is to simply change the production to semi-unique, since it seems like the stealth abilities are a key attribute of this vessel.

Alternatively, if we want to keep limited production, we reduce a rating and eliminate both the cloaking device and the stealth shroud.

The Quartermaster The Quartermaster , semi-unique definitely solves the cloaking issue. This still looks like it's one rating over though:

Production: Semi-unique (-3)
Armament: High (+1)
Defenses: Very High (+2)
Squadron Count: None (-3)
Maneuverability Rating: Very High (+2)
Speed Rating: Very High (+2)

7-6 = +1
