ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • 3K40 Targeting System: Used generally on military bases, the software allowed multiple weapons to convert onto various targets or concentrate fire on a single target. This is to help supplement the 840.z Holo-Targeting Suite when ordered to converge all weapons on one enemy point. (x)
  • Docking Clamps: Mainly to keep the ships connected together during transport to and from systems. (x)
  • Hyperdrive Signal Interceptor: The Hyperdrive Signal Interceptor detects fluctuations in the local area though not of its destination nor the type of ship. This sensor is used for the purposes of intercepting or patrolling heavily guarded sections of space. Also used to prevent being ambushed via hyperspace, giving some notice for stations to be at the ready. (x)
STRENGTHS
  • Release the Swarms!: It has an impressive amount of hanger support for its size, making it rather uneasy to fight if you are just a fighting frigate.
WEAKNESSES
  • Shoot the Orbs!: Clearly the shield generators as it is very obvious to see. Hitting those will knock out the shield generators rather quickly.
  • Please Turn Faster!: It is very hard to move this thing left to right, it is near impossible without some planning.
DESCRIPTION
When creating the next part of the Operation Motherborne, one thing was in mind. While Corvettes were nice for patrols, if a pirate fleet was to come by, it would require starfighter reinforcement as well as heavier armament. That is where the Emerald-class comes into play. A carrier that is filled to the brim with starfighters and support craft, it was made for the purpose of defending a target to the final straw. Weaponry was fitted to fight off lightly armed cruisers even but the most unique was the carrier design. Each section was made to keep starfighters squadrons at the ready and with multiple bay ports, would allow it to shoot out quickly in case of an emergency.

The usual things were added such as the 3K40 Targeting System, the Docking Clamps and even the Hyperdrive Signal Interceptor. One of the more keenly noted things was that the crafts own maneuverability engines were used to bolster its own speed, meaning to turn it would actually require flicking a few switches to get it to turn at all. Another key development was the addition of the Seismic Missiles into the warhead launchers. While generally a starfighter weapon, it was now ready to deployment in the Emeralds and could keep themselves stocked due to their limited amount of Emeralds going to be available.

On testing, the spectacle of Seismic Missiles made people a bit giddy with excitement. While generally an anti-starfighter weaponry missile, it was devastating in large numbers. Only key problem was when one misfired and exploded onto the Emerald itself, sustaining some damage along with a broken Warhead Launcher. With that kept in mind, they would work on creating another Seismic Missile variant, even if it meant creating an entirely new means of transporting it.
