Vyri stared at him in disbelief. She didn't often willingly load herself into policing vehicles, but the saber he had leveled was remarkably convincing. Her shoulder tingled from where he had brushed skin, proof that he had indeed fixed a dropped strap.
So she hadn't hit her head and made up the exchange.

It took a little bit of clumsy effort, none of which her ego appreciated, but she did manage to get her waking limbs into the seat. The top closed, encasing them in the stuffy silence of the vehicle. Her body flopped back as they started off. She strained, getting herself up straight again.
"...No," she corrected after a long moment. The crowds were left behind, along with the prying eyes. Her cuffed hands reached out, sliding across his thigh. "I was thinking more like a hotel. They have heating." She looked up at him, biting her lip.
And if there was any room for confusion, her fingers traced lightly up the seam of his inner thigh.
